The same kettles (without the brand name on) are cheaper all over ebay and amazon, Wilko used to sell as well (£5) but I think they stopped and switched to a different design now. All the stainless steel 2 litre ones with a folding handle all seem to be the same as this. I have an old blue painted wilko one in this exact design. The inside is all stainless steel so no plastic. I think it would be a little worse because there is no insulation (just thin metal) and on a hob the heat is being applied to the outside rather than the inside of the kettle. I would guess 10-20% worse?
Isn't she a thing of beauty...
Does anyone know if there is anything plastic coming in contact with water? Also do you think economically this would be much worst than a standard kettle? I would be using this on induction hob so it would boil quickly I guess.
So you know the waters boiled you melt.
Why do i want my kettle to whistle?
