Pretty good price for the game The code was delivered instantly

The intial complaints were infounded.... there are literally hundreds of free mods... mortal empires etc and many others are free. It is a superb game with real difficulty....but adding the mods do enhance it.

parabootz

I can't see it cheaper either, good price

leaston

Despite being a good Despite being a good game it received quite a bit of criticism because you have to buy the first game and DLC in order to unlock everything in this one. That increases the cost significantly and has alienated a lot of players.

Jim.N

Good price, cannot find a cheaper alternative, don't understand the cold votes

dan_123

where is it cheaper thanks?

Bloody hell that's a brilliant price. I wish they'd hurry up with the PS4 port though (mad) .

Probably best picking up Warhammer: Vermintide 2 from DreamGame, it's nearly £7 cheaper :) They have reduced prices on the other two, also.

That's what I thought, but when I went back to the item page, it listed them both for £4.99, even though I'd already bought them both. Sorry for the confusion, I thought the prices would have gone back to actual list prices. Edit: I've edited the deal to reflect the actuality.

Buy with 1-Click £26.24 List Price: £29.99 You Save: £3.75 (12%) It says you can add the audio narration to your Kindle purchase for £4.99 but this is £4.99 for the Kindle book + £4.99 for the audio narration on top £9.98. Never buy from steam ever? But I got £40 in vouchers with my motherboard. Am I allowed to spend that?

seanmorris100

WH1 is kinda obsolete now too due to ME if you own both... BUT ME runs like dog crap... really slow turn times even on the very best of PCs. BTW ME is Mortal Empires, WH1 and 2 maps combined in to a grand campaign, you need both games to unlock it. Also CA seem to never patch the game until they release DLC these days... so theres bugs from release still in the game and they fix like 1 or 2 each DLC. End of the day, is it worth £10? yes! but can you get a better deal with all DLC? yes, never buy direct from steam EVER.

Kiyoshi

Even in this sale, if you don't want half a game and get the DLC the entire lot will still cost you over £48 (annoyed)

I used these before a few years back for the game SOMA. I just got knocked for the Space Marine. Upon entering the key,Steam announced that the gift had been sold to another person. Luckily I paid the 11p insurance. Overall too much messing around for it.

Kiyoshi

They are far from legit, do a little research.

squibski

Bought several windows 7-10 licences from kinguin. Usually fine. They only issue nowadays is that you have to phone windows to activate their keys. Apart from that, no problems

DannyB1987

Bought Inside from Kinguin many moons ago, all was fine for a few months then got an email to say my key had been revoked due to being acquired illegally. By all means take a punt at 60 pence but I’d never buy anything for more than a few quid.

Spinal2k

bought several games from kinguin... legit website

Just a note that this doesn't work with the Linux Steam Play beta client (the one that uses Proton to run some Windows games on Linux). A bit disappointing considering two other Warhammer 40000 games are in the initial Proton compatibilty list. I still recommend you grab any Windows-only limited time freebie like this if you're on Linux, because there's always a chance it could work with a future Proton release.

justdavey

YMMV, but check this section of the PC Gaming Wiki guide: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine - Video Settings

TehJumpingJawa

I wish this game properly supported ultra wide. The extra fov & peripheral vision feels fantastic n combat (in a similar way to VR), however you lose too much vertical fov, all the cutscenes are borked and there are quite obvious rendering glitches. (Objects being incorrectly culled from the scene when clearly visible)

jameshothothot

I find the whole concept of super warriors a bit disconcerting as would like to use the rock paper scissor basics of say infantry and artillery and cavalry

jameshothothot

Thanks! I guess I am looking for one easy to play with a good tutorial to get me into it. I vaguely remember renting it on pc ageeeeeesss ago and did not have a manual only the cd rom and I got a bit lost!

GameOverMan

It depends what you're looking for. Fantasy or Historical. I'm also pretty new to the franchise, did my research before deciding which on to play first. Ended up buying Total War: Rome 2 because i'm a big fan of the time period, but there is a learning curve. Also, Rome 2 was not well received by the fans on launch, because of bugs and been stripped of certain features. The game is over 5 years old now, so you can probably get the game and all dlc for cheap, when it's on sale. Rome 2 is actually still getting dlc. Shogun 2, Medieval 2 and the first Rome game, are all highly regarded. Depends on how far in the series you want to go back to. Maybe check out some videos on youtube because it can be a bit overwhelming at first. They're all on sale at the Gameplanet, but it's a flash sale and it'll expire by tomorrow morning.

jameshothothot

Oh tempted.. Never got into total war games. This could be a great entry? I do have some on humble bundle but was not sure where to start!

H4zz4rd

Yeah totally. That would be awesome if it is, I’ve always been put off by the £10 for an hour long story pricing.

hanzoadam

I’d say in comparison it kind makes sense when stuff like Horus Heresy is £11.95 and are around 12 hours long It could be a new pricing for them

H4zz4rd

The previous one released last year is £5.95 and only recently reduced, it’s also an hour long. Pretty sure this is a pricing mistake or unannounced offer.

I’d say it’s legit price it’s only 1hr 5 mins

Really? I'm still on a 980Ti and had no issues, although can't remember the FPS I was pulling. Running on a 2560x1080 monitor too. Seemed smooth for me.

I really struggled to get the 5 hour demo / trial to play smoothly on a 1070ti / SSD / Ivy Bridge 3.4Ghz Quad / 16 GB DDR3. No matter how much I backed off in the graphics settings I still had the common stutter problem. Played better on the XB1X ... sad times lol.
