All XCOM 2 Discounts, Offers and Sale - December 2018
I think they must be having a snooze (flirt) it's still broken (annoyed)
The oh mighty buzz needs assistance :/ (lol) (y) Its not part of the link trouble, is it?
I've requested assistance from the Lords of HUKD.
The merchant is not active (shock) what's going on there :/
Physical copy £13.79 @ Amazon
XCOM DLC always seems to hold its value. Enemy Within seemed to but was definitely worth it. Proper expansion to the game not just a money grab of a few extra skins or levels. Well done 2K!
When will War of the Chosen be reduced ;(
Digital deluxe edition for 13.99 as well
Buy this, play it, add the long war 2 mod, play it for about 250 hours more (you might have about finished it), by that time, WOTC will likely be on offer too. I rather consider LW2 a more definitive final version of the game than WOTC.
good price but i have waited this long for a complete edition, so gonna stay strong :)
Why was your friend a bleep?
Not a fan of the xCOM series. I would have liked it on PC but my friend was an **s!
yawn. different system and it's not free if you PAY for a subsription is it. Thanks OP, been playing the free weekend so I'll get myself a copy.
I have put in over 100 hours into this game and the xcom enemy unknown a couple of 100
Dont forget the free DLC is u already own this https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/xcom-2-war-of-the-chosen-tactical-legacy-pack-dlc-free-via-steam-to-owners-of-wotc-3074503
It's great, especially for free! Good on firaxis (y)
Big shame, whilst I wish I could do the P.C thing the costs and logistics just don't stack up. I'm much more of a casual gamer. Is the DLC as good as it sounds? I was always dissapointed that you couldn't get Bradfords gun, it sounded fantastic.
It almost certainly won't, I'm afraid - Firaxis have explicitly stated that this DLC was developed for PC only.
I really hope this comes to Xbox, I love this game.
Back in stock now as just managed to order from Greenman
This is honestly a game however that gets easier the further in you get. You are pretty weak on the harder settings early on but persevere and upgraded kit and squad will change the balance. Foes that were immense early on become a mere annoyance later in. Plus you will find your loadout preference can be better suited to different difficulty settings, normal for instance snipers are great all through the campaign and close combat Rangers are immense, past that however you'll need to be stripping enemy armour with Grenadiers and choosing your moves much more carefully.
No I haven't. Uninstalled it to be honest
Have you played xcom before? Every move is tactical and can lead to wiping out your squad if you’re over confident with your moves. I played both versions of xcom 1 and still had to start this version on beginner to remind me how I should be playing it. I’d heartily recommend restarting on beginner and see how you get on
Now out of stock
I always play on easy. Why make games harder than they need to be :)
Absolutely essential game. As others have said though, we desperately need a reduced DLC as it triples the scope of the game.
Strangely enough, reduced on PSN on wed: https://store.playstation.com/en-gb/product/EP1001-CUSA04530_00-0000000000000015
Tesco direct has closed now. Will keep an eye out thanks.
Tesco Direct had it cheap/mispriced that a posted a little while back. Unsure if it's still there or has Direct closed now?
Great game. Need a deal on the console DLC now.
got free with PS plus.. sorry (lol) have heat anyway! 🖒
Great price for xcom even without bogof
Really poor selection of games and wat overpriced
Oh man, Totally Spies for the PC and Oktoberfest: The Official Game for the DS. Voted hot!
Yup is only the dedicated servers that are shutting down. Person with the best connection will host the game.
Peer to peer will still be available.
They're fleecing on ebay then lol Pro Evo £2.90 on their site Fair enough you get one free but everything is a few quid more on their ebay, but suppose if you don't mind paying the extra for another game
Or free on PSN plus if you've got PS4
Just seems like you are going out of your way to slag off a game that has been universally appreciated by those who have played it.
It's to try balance out the sheer number of people who for whatever reason think its one of the best games ever made. It's ok but would rate is as one of the poorest fps/movies I've ever played. It's laughably bad.
You seem to slag off wolfenstein everytime a deal is posted. Personal gripe?
That comment is enough to put me off this playing game, Thanks
They are if you hack
I was going to buy xcom2 couple of weeks ago on the pc for £3-something, luckily this was announced for ps+ this month (:I trials is a good game also, has that 'lets give it one more go' factor to it (y)
New PS+ games are now available to download.
Look at the state of these comments. XCOM 2 is an 87 on metacritic, Trials Fusion is a 79. Anything else is an extra.
so true makes you wonder how much sony are making out of the stream a game service, i would be suprised if its a huge profit maker for them ? there not going to make ps3 backwards compatible with the ps4 now but one can hope they sort this stuff out for the next playstation system now that the consoles are running on x86 architecture it should feasible to port other systems games it would been great had they went with backwards compatibility for with the ps4 man that would be have gggrrreeeaaattt
So good. Reviews: XCOM® 2 Metacritic: 88% (104 critics, 7.2 from 1358 users), Steam: Mostly Positive 80% (18620 reviews)
Absolute bargain at this price, I instantly bought it. The "first" one was brilliant and I didn't expect to enjoy it so much. Wasteland 2 Directors Cut also has a similar combat to this game, mixed with the rpg freedom of the first Fallout games, highly recommend it if you like XCom
I had been living under a rock and hadnt played the first one until a few months ago. Bought it for under 2 quid and enjoyed the hell out of it so I dont see no reason not to start with the first. Once you complete it you have XCOM 2 to look forward to :) Problem is finding the first one cheaper than this!
Nonsense, XCOM2 is a far better game for newcomers. The beginning of XCOM:EU can be brutal (see:not fun) for new players. XCOM2 gives you quicker access to better and a larger variety of weapons. XCOM:EU forces you to play with 40% chance, 2-3 dmg rifles for 2-3 hours and the aliens are much quicker to cause havoc around the world and disrupt progress.
Probably best to play the first one. The time limits make this very challenging even for a seasoned XCOM player - I have played the complete series of earlier versions for windows - much much longer and more complicated. The first modern one, XCOM:EU does not have the time limits so you can explore and experiment more.
Gave it a shot, good thing it was free. Hacker central, they are everywhere. Netcode is shockingbad. Watch the killcams and you will see. Thought i was imagining it, turn a corner and get shot, and the kill cam shows you standing there for a full second or two. What you see and what the killcam shows can look like totally different things. Apart from that its the usual CoD. Tiny, rubbish maps, infuriating as keep hitting the sidewalls on the maps. Head on run-and-gun, literally no way to flank anyone. Oh and the guns are either ridiculously underpowered at the start, or its the problems mentioned above. Keep firing a gun into someone, and boom, get heatshotted. Keep seeing people saying it's pretty. I just don't see it. Battlefield 1 looks infinitely nicer on my system.
Nice something to do! Cool thanks
Spent 30 mins on it last nite, looks pretty but hacker 1 shot central... shame about zombies tho its a mode worth playing but boy... not at that price
I wish they did too, but based on previous free to play CoD weekends, you literally just get the PVP Online MP
Got hooked on Wildlands since the free weekend.Fantastic way to pull new players
Is there still the crashing issue on the digital version?
I usually find the free weekend games available by now but this game is only available to buy?
Been interested in this for a while but was worried about performance issues. Can’t wait to give it a go.
It's expected to drop at some point today. It's having 67% off so £14.85 :)
Great time I hope they have it on sale after the free weekend
Me too, the expansion looks really good but can buy a whole other game or 2 for the same price
Going to bite for this price, thank you
£4.50 or gtfo
Last played around 3 months ago for 3rd playthrough. Some issues had been resolved still odd occurrence but few and far between. Happens quite a lite on the last mission though.
I remember owning this and it having issues with frame rates, screen tearing and a few crashes. No idea if it has been fixed. Was kinda disappointed early on so sold it.
Yup. I hear ya, and I can't vouch for their validity .. but playing Devil's Advocate; the PS4 version was just £7 in Smyths Toys nearly a year ago, so such a price isn't outside the realms of possibility with that in mind. Also, they are still selling DLC at a high price, and the base game has even been in a game bundle to get people to gateway to said expansion. If it helps; I'm an XCOM fanboy having played this series since Laser Squad on the Spectrum & C64. Part of me even wanted to dislike the XCOM reboot so I could stay true to the earlier versions, but that failed miserably! I pre-ordered my versions, and paid full price - a price that I feel is totally worth it I'll add, and I'd happily pay it again! :)
Question is how key reseller got such a good offer.
Ridiculous price for a quality strategy title! Play this game vanilla to get the hang of it, then forget the costly War of the Chosen DLC (which I do own) and plump for the free Long War 2 mod on the Steam Workshop instead. I passed 400 hours on XCOM 2 recently, and there's no sign of me stopping.
I liked Xenonauts more, cant wait to play Pheonix Point
Price drop to £4.29 in daily deal.
