Don't go on this network, can't even make calls

I, my wife and my 2 kids have been on Lebara for well over a year with no issues.

Do you need a new email address everytime you do this? Or can I get more Sims at same price on one email? When I tried to order a SIM with an email address used in the past, it said email already registered and provide a correct email address

What I've done is to login to my Lebara account, then open another tab and then click through the link and add to basket. It allows you to then proceed with the existing account. Somehow this has worked for me. You could try it

Great network. I recently jumped ship to THM on that 6 month deal, but will be back to Lebara When it finishes.

Talk home mobile. Got the deal on here. Runs off EE

Both Lebara and Lyca are working perfectly currently in Amsterdam. Lebara use Vodafone network and Lyca use EE. Similar sim deals available on both networks but if you need esim only Lyca have that feature at the moment which is ideal if you need it last minute.

I use these for data on a tablet, more than enough data to cover for travelling and for £1 it's great to save messing with tether to my main phone. I've been using Lebara for 6+ months already, so it's great that I can keep the same account and just add another sim and let the old one run out. No new member only type restrictions which is refreshing.

Lebara emailed me volte and WiFi calling ready, but iPhone12 won’t enable WiFi calling and doesn’t have volte option available. Checked imei ok. Sent new config to phone and installed, checked data settings etc. Anyone know why it’s not working? 5g working ok.

My wife had this issue. I turned the phone off and started it with no sim. Then off again, install sim and back on. Worked straight away.

jumped on one of these deals about a year ago, never again, customer service is adequate until you clock that they charge you for calling there customer service at an 09 rate from any other network provider, ended up costing me a few quid to get them to resolve one of their own issues with the sim they send me
    Rahan's avatar
You must have used a connecting service instead of the official lebara customer services number = 0207 0310791

    Lebara is excellent.
    My 15GB/94p/Month.
6 months expiring in Nov. (edited)

I literally switched from Lyca last week, I'd bought the SIM a few months back that should have been "3gb, unlimited mins and texts, 49p first 6 months then 4.90 after". But after activating it, the plan says 5gb. So I'm well happy. Cost is the same! (edited)
    Ragdoll_Pigeon's avatar
Yeah, there's conflicting info on how long you have before you can no longer activate a SIM. I left mine for just shy of 3 months. First payment when I bought it in mid May, activated mid August, then September to January next 5 payments

If I'm already with Lebara and want to switch to this deal, is there an easy way to do this?
    Thanks!

port out to another provider and back to lebara with the links.

Typically people pay using CPA (Continuos payment Authority) using card number. The problem with this is it is very difficult to cancel it, unless you want to waste time calling your Banks. Can anyone suggest the best way to pay for the deal like this stopping them with sneaky way to take your money ??
    Rimi's avatar
Use Revolut and keep balance on minimum so they can't take money. Or , as I am doing, just generating virtual card on Starling and when 6 months has passed (or 3) I just delete that card and no one can take money no matter how much they want..

Why does roaming never seem to work with Lebara (even after following their network instructions for roaming). I never seem to have this issue with other networks
    innocent's avatar
Could be no reciprocal networks or nearby towers of the same where you are roaming.
  16. sdduk's avatar
I got a Lebara deal off of here a couple of months ago for 12gb unlimited data/text plus roaming for £1.99 for 6mths goes to full price in January before that i had the 1p for 6 months that ended so flipped over to the 1.99 deal.
If you keep checking on here they keep changing there tariffs all the time i think the 1p deal may come back near Christmas.
Also for Lyca have now switched over to EE so there signal should be a lot better now after being with O2 for years just incase people on here didn't know.

Have been with Lebara since 2022. It’s working well in UK and free India roaming. iPhone 5g speed min 70mbps in Sutton. Accepting PayPal payment and clean mobile app. Good to Go.
    rvnmax's avatar
As it is clearly quite a popular route to go for those travelling to India, would be grateful if you could confirm where exactly in India you've been able to use Lebara successfully.

I was between Delhi-Chandigarh in August and I found it too patchy to be of daily use, though I think it worked well enough at Delhi airport.

This is an old link unfortunately. When you proceed to check-out the discount isn't applied.

Is there anything specific you need to do to enable roaming in the EU? I'm due to go to Spain in a couple of days and wanted to use this, but am not sure if it'll work as I've only just started using the sim a few days ago
    Rimi's avatar
Will work without problems or doing something extra. Just make sure roaming is on in network settings. Internet speed is slow, however. You will need patience...
  20. rcha's avatar
Do I need to use the sim asap or how long can I wait to activate it? thanks
    Pokora's avatar
    30 days to activate it
  21. bhavesh1986's avatar
After 6 months can I port my number to another Lebara contract if they refresh offers like this again? Or offer only 1 per number?
    Wammer's avatar
If you want to keep the same number, you need to port out to another provider before porting back to Lebara.

I have a Lebara which has had its last 99p taken today, I want to switch out then switch back to this deal - can anyone recommend the cheapest way to do this?!
    MrBestDeal's avatar
Usually Lycamobile have some cheap sims
  24. Halidk's avatar
Does anyone know if WiFi calling is available abroad when roaming? Plusnet/EE don’t offer that, but it really is a game changer for where I go.
    Any experience? Thanks in advance!
    Rahan's avatar
I think Wi-Fi calling will work abroad (if everything is configured before you go) but you will be charged roaming rate, same as if you were to make that call using the mobile network.
  25. martinm1's avatar
How do I know if I am on the 99p for 6 monts. As when I login it just says this SIM data etc expires 21st oct and 4.40 /30 days51116446-Qfbif.jpg (edited)
    Rahan's avatar
Looking at your screenshot your autorenewal is deactivated so it is highly unlikely you will get the promotional price for the next six months.

From what I’ve seen Lyca is terrible compared to Lebara (edited)
  27. tcf's avatar
+1 for no issues with Lebara.
  28. alig2u's avatar
Anyone know if you can get an esim with this?
    Bouksani's avatar
No esim in the UK atm.
  29. myr4's avatar
5gb deal at £1.99 still active.

Yes, it's 199x more expensive than my current contract so I'll be paying £12ish for 6 months instead of 6p for 6 months 😃 but seriously can't go wrong for unlimited mins and texts and Lebara network is waaaay better than Lyca.
    wipeout's avatar
How are you still on the 1p deal? They were more than a year ago now
  30. jimcat's avatar
I used lebara in the past and worked like a charm. 300min is a bit short for me tho
    Arkz's avatar
Pay £1 more for the unlimited then.
  31. kalico's avatar
I find Lebara better than Lyca.

With Lyca, my phone insists that I'm roaming all the time. Pants.
  32. nik1's avatar
please don't post these anymore...... Way to expensive compared to the 6mths 1p or 45p deals from Lebara/Lyca (edited)

Like the honeymoon period of six months at favourable rate. Hope there are some other plans with greater amount of data, say 15gb or 20gb at favourable rates for first six months 🔥
    Lesser faff!

Works fine for me, then again I never had any problems with Three (3) in over 10 years neither

I moved to Lebara last year, zero regrets.
  38. ozodimal's avatar
Perfect timing. Last month of Lyca 1p sim, time to switch! Thanks OP.
  39. chigger1's avatar
Previously used lebara but only 300 mins is a very poor deal considering it costs nothing to have unlimited mins and was previously included.

"Lyca doesn't work"? in what way? Friend of mine moved to them recently and finds it very much does work.
