Thanks for your response. No Costco near me. Will try Asda, if possible.

KangTC

This cold is a bit churlish for a deal posting newbie so I have given some :) but you could save yourself tuppence by buying 2 x 500g boxes at Iceland. http://groceries.iceland.co.uk/kelloggs-crunchy-nut-corn-flakes-cereal-500g/p/5258

bvmjain

Asda currently have 2x 750g for £2.00 each, so they are the cheapest on a pro- rata basis for most people who do not have Costco accounts.

juan_sheet

FYI Costco do 2 x 1kg boxes for £5 inc VAT :)

T2G

Is this the cheapest it gets. I would believe so unless someone tells me otherwise.

I knew I'd seen this post somewhere, added to the Heron Foods thread where Poundland was also mentioned in the header, a bit cheekily :) They put out a batch of these in Trongate, Glasgow tonight, bought mine before closing at 8pm.

If you're referring to the programme where Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall talked about hidden fat and sugars in processed foods - it's not really news to most that breakfast cereals are full of sugar and salt. People knew this years ago. Personally, the "traffic light system" he's so fixated on means very little to me - if the nutritional value is already there on the front of the box (Calorific Value/Fat/Saturates/Sugars/Salt), most grown adults should be able to work out whether it's something they want to include in their daily intake. "Traffic Light" colours, surely, are for children, or people who are perhaps illiterate or can't read well - I'd imagine that would apply to very few customers. We have the internet now - if you're worried about your fat/salt/saturate intake it's all easily discoverable within a few seconds. Willpower, common sense and self-discipline can't be bought.

Not like anyone eats 100g? Servings are usually 30g-50g which equates to 11g-18g of sugar or two to four teaspoons of sugar; a can of pepsi has 36g of sugar. The purpose is to make it taste good and it does.

HYPPIA

Thank You everyone for the heat !. :D

endo123

If 1.2kg doesn’t stop you masturbating nothing will

Tom_Reys

they are like what 34-36grams of sugar per 100g? And that's just PURE SUGGAR ADDED to them with no purpose other than make you crave them.. Avoid this nasty junk, this kelloggs isn't much better as well.. The only decent cereal is the Tesco own brand which sells for 45p per 500g , those are close to Pure cornflakes with nothing really added to them, tastes much nicer as well... the price is just an added bonus!

SalmanOrange

Crunchy nut are much nicer especially in hot milk

Terrahawks

Thats why they taste soooooooo Good (flirt)

Ts1899

Normal price for these

dwl99

These are soooooooo full of sugar, around 35% as far as I remember. Just about the same as Frosties. Not in any way a healthy breakfast cereal in spite of the blurb on the packaging.

dc100

And next week at Morrison's and the week after at Tesco then Asda then Sainsburys again - always £2 somewhere - just got to chase them ...... (annoyed) - annoying they don't just sell them at the correct £2 price all the time.....

Hi, I mean is it Tesco, Asda, B&M etc? You haven't actually said which store MistaMo

MistaMo

Heron Foods, Dudley West Midlands, DY1 postcode. I bought 2 around 230 and shelf was half full. Didn't get a receipt so passing through later, I dashed in to take a photo of the shelf edge label and the shelves had been restocked

Ger73

Can anyone confirm this in Northern Ireland

ziggycj

I know that but this was when it was £1.49, which is only half price. You'd expect a longer date. When supermarkets do half price offers its still normal expiry dated.

robin5858

Why do you think they are reduced for? These are Poundstrecher clearance lines, reduced to clear before the best before dates. If you want longer dates go pay full price at real supermarkets.

ziggycj

Check the expiry dates. In my local the expiry was late August. They were Olympic branded boxes. They are trying to clear out old stock. Hot if your local has better dates.

This might be a one off whereas Tesco deal is on very often. I usually buy 1 or 2 packs when I see this deal at Tesco

No, Tesco was not as good as this one https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/crunchy-nut-1kg-1-50-asda-instore-2684708 but alas no time machine...

Tesco's deal is the cheapest with 750gms for £1.87 I think. I know it's not on at the moment but just saying it's not the cheapest

I clicked on Apply Voucher then I added 4 in the basket and clicked on Proceed to Checkout but its showing £8 after free £2.99 delivery. Anything I done wrong?

Aha, that is why I got them so cheap. Thank you

Add four boxes and see what it says, work out the individual cost as it might knock off the carriage?

I can't seem to get the 25% voucher to apply even though it's ticked. I tried with just one item and checkout still says £2.00. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong please?

No, I think it's 3 boxes of 500g. Works out at 33p per 100g. If you have an Asda nearby they have 2 boxes of 750g for £4 which works out at 26p per 100g. A slightly better deal. Sainsbury's have 1kg for £3 which is 30p per 100g.
