Ordered and received fine - brilliant little rechargeable headtorch for £5.90 (thanks for the code), and have just had stuck to the bottom of the car fixing an ABS sensor, in it's magnetic box - perfect!. Excellent deal for the price imo, bright light, multiple functions, secure for running (doesn't flap about like some). Voted hot - can't believe its cold!

I've just received mine - great.

Got one when the deal was posted last month. It has arrived yesterday and happy to recommend based on quick few tests. The box is a great little addition and looks great quality. Heat from me.

I've bought 2 different variant of these from Ali express and they are great. The usb charging means that you can always be topped up at full power which is great for camping (you don't have to carry the spare set of batteries & always have strong light). Good beams of light & I had a motion activated setting which is good. With the magnetic light box (which I've never had) that looks a great idea, this looks a really good deal (when you select the £8 off)

Would like to see why this is cold before I order?

Country/Shooting/Fishing clothing sale at John Norris of Penrith
Found 20th FebFound 20th Feb
Branded country clothing isn't for everyone but for those looking for Barbour, Alan Paine, Greys, Musto etc, there are some fairly hefty reductions over MRP on offer.
Get dealGet deal

Not voting either way. I don't know about the other stuff but Barbour clothes, while they look like a lot has been knocked off, it's more expensive than other websites. Take the Roe shirt. It says retail price is £64.95 and the saving is £34.96 (£29.99 selling price), so better than half price. Whereas on Outdoor and country it's £25.98 (after 30% off). A lot of it is discontinued stock so would never still have the recommended retail price they are discounting it from.

A pair of wellies for £380, capitalism sure is working for the la-de-da set. :{

You mean you've been up here in all this beastly mud and oomska without wellingtons? This afternoon I'll take you both into Penrith and get you fitted with some good quality rubber boots.

What a lovely optimistic vision from someone with no kids. The reality obviously being that they will annoy the hell out of you, cost you a fortune, make you question how a kids toy can ever cost this much, infuriate you whilst you try and construct it with them and ultimately smash it to pieces, lose most of it in places you don't even know exist and mix the rest of it up in ways that make future re building an impossibility. They will then tell you they didn't even want it in the first place and ask for another thing that costs another hundred quid with an un appreciation that you cant even comprehend. Anyway, enjoy the kids.

Love the detail on this set

Looks like Quints shack from Jaws. Bought (highfive)

Ordered mine February 6th, received today (11 days) - pretty good for Gearbest!! Looks like a great torch, too :)

Cheers OP just ordered both

Thanks for the info. I’ll stick with AA then.

Those batteries were 2 for 1.10 from amazon recently. I'm waiting for some. I also have some trustfire flames coming in case those are no good. I've ordered another torch now at 73p!

I have tried the cheap £2-3 chargers off eBay and they're a waste of time, I got a xtar vc4 off gearbest for £12-14, And some random batteries off eBay, about £3 for 4, I already had a few torches that use 18650 batteries so already had the charger, my only outlay was the batteries. In all honesty I don't think I'd bother shelling out nearly £20 if you're just buying them for this torch.

Some 'interesting' comments for sure. Lego do make toys for kids. Lego also make amazing models for adults. To me, this set isn't a toy, it's an amazing model and is primarily aimed at the older collector. Personally I collect the modulars and the Christmas sets and they are really fantastic builds whether done on my own or with my kids. Saying Lego is just a kids toy is ignorant. It's like saying video games are just for kids! They clearly aren't. Also when people complain about the price of plastic bricks, they forget the time and effort invested in creating the product, research and design. The molds for making new Lego pieces are very expensive. As for the trolls I think it's safe to say they are projecting. Jealous of those that can afford these. After all, those people seem to have a lot of time to make snide comments on here. Not what you'd expect from someone with a life eh.... Thanks for posting this deal!

Ok fair enough. I'm still new round here!

I know, but multiple posts for the same thing can get a bit much. Anyone looking for it can see it.

Agreed! Just thought it's now sunk right down the page so people won't see the new price.

Cheers. I'll try and alter this one rather than post a new one. Crazy price this for one of Lego's best ever sets.

Seeing that this sort of thing is so adaptable - I'd look for a stove based on other requirements. For occasional use, these are good but the gas is expensive... Or, if you want a bit cheaper gas (very cheap if you can find somewhere that will refill it for you rather than replace - but be VERY careful it's done right if so) - a burner that sits on a Campingaz 907 or similar cylinder - burner cost me £15 and I got a full cylinder second hand from someone that'd got it with something else and already had one for £30 - full cylinder lasts ages even with the decently hot 3kw burner - hotter than a lot of home stoves.

It toasts sandwiches and paninis equally well, although I have tried few variations of the fillings.

Just checked the link you posted and it's identical to the fox one so I'd definitely recommend that one.

Depends what type of stove you want. The type I use for fishing are this type Fox stove but any type like that are great as they fold down to around the size of a wallet. Then a gas can (can't remember the type it takes but they are around (£5 each) and they last a good few uses. It all depends how much you want to spend. Folding stoves start from around £15 and go up to £100+. I've been using the fox one for a couple of years for kettle and cooking and it's never let me down.

Can anyone recommend a stove to go with this at all? This one seems cheap? I don't fish, but I do go camping and I have been glued to the carp TV you tube videos of recipe ideas for these things! Thank you OP!

Hi, I found the Greys ok, was a starter rod for me. Have been using it over two years and there are one or two niggles. I use it mainly on our Res, very rough, muddy and rocks to contend with. I've got a nice Greys river rod, yet to use properly. Need to get myself out on the river sometime soon. Just started tying too, looking forward to catching with the sedges I've just done. Bring on the better weather (y)

Loop is a good range, very highly priced though. Only real drawback. How did you find the GRXI? I have always found it difficult to be satisfied with Greys after bad experiences with rods years ago but they seem to have turned a corner.

Good price Op, just looking at a nice Loop for myself. Looking to replace my GRXI soon.

Should make a great dash-cam!

Can anyone find the replacement batteries for these? Would be especially good if more powerful versions can be found!

In the grand scheme of things very little but it's nicer on the eye/hand not to have to scroll for 3 feet before you get to the comments.

Thanks OP. Ordered. I've been thinking of buying an action cam for my cycling efforts and off-road runs. Can#t justify spending much as I don't really expect to use it much. But the choice at the bottom of the market while abundant, is rather confusing and unconvincing. Which put me off from buying. This looks like a steal at this price. Short battery life seems the only downside. But that can be solved by carrying a power bank and topping up when needed.

Ha ha Zodiac killer

In an effort to get gearbest to sort issues some info for everyone. I have bought lots of stuff from them and generally good, but when it goes wrong its a mountain to climb. However recent android box went wrong. First remote then box. Gearbest customer service woes started. Offered a couple of quid refund and no joy, or even understanding of English through gearbest ticket system, next to useless. Escalated to paypal, eventually full offer of refund. Eventually through paypal offered a UK return address for info (gearbest ticket system contradicted what they were saying through paypal) Weiwen Luo Address: Woodgate Business Park, Clapgate Lane, Bartley Green B32 3BZ Birmingham United Kingdom Phone: 07780841791 They then repeatedly refused delivery from courier. One could interpret this as a device to 'pretend' to offer refund then refuse to accept the returned goods. No goods return=no refund to pay. Only when I refused final paltry offer from through paypal, (after they had previously offered full refund) did the return that mysteriously had been repeatedly rejected, was now accepted, on the day Paypal ruled in my favour for full return of money. coincidence? doubtful. So if everyone uses paypal for payment and escalation, keeps full records, they will compel gearbest to fully refund. If everyone does this then maybe gearbest will sort it properly. Hope this helps.
