CockOfTheNorth

Well it helped me, I’ve sensitive face skin thats reacts to chemicals like my asthma also does. I wouldn’t ever apply it around the soft eye skin but for the rest try it :)

Interesting. Gonna give it a whirl. Cheers.

I dunno isn’t getting a hearty pay off to clear your mortgage retirement in itself, it’s the biggest expense renting or ownership. What do you get in the UK? A length/age discrimination redundancy with minimum 2 years employment to qualify per annum/age calculation half a week’s pay for each full year you were under 22 one week’s pay for each full year you were 22 or older, but under 41 one and half week’s pay for each full year you were 41 or older Length of service redundancy award is capped at 20 years. Most people couldn’t pay a mortgage off with that in the UK. Well those with severely sensitive skin have animals to thank for research decades & decades ago before animals rights, no one was complaining then. Not that I don’t support that but being logical animal rights & testing are a gov failure not a human/company failure. Yes I’ve tried Bulldog, it’s crap. £6 RRP isn’t double £5 RRP,very accurate but anyhow...

Shinoke

Selling out and making the original staff redundant doesn't sound great. Maybe they were all happy with it, but I imagine many may not have been. People generally want to work. Were they all at retirement age? I doubt it. Normally when a business is bought out they at least keep some of the staff. It sounds rather brutal to be honest. And there's no excusing testing on animals. It's just not necessary. I guess you've never used Bulldog hand cream, and perhaps none of their products. So calling it BS is just BS. Also O'Keeffe's is twice as expensive! None of your comments are accurate. Anyhoo

CockOfTheNorth

Indeed and I tried many over decades. My NHS prescription regime was over £150 a month it still didn’t work like Okeeffes, not a touch on it, I spend £6 every few months, the NHS saves a hell of a lot of money on my free prescriptions too (y) The woman behind okeeffes was a pharmacist in a chemist, nothing worked for her dad hard brittle skin so she started bringing stuff home from work & began experimenting, it’s from humble roots she built her brand empire then sold it to Gorilla Glue when she couldn’t expand it, she had under 20 long term staff that all got a damn good a hefty redundancy when she sold it. Ethics comes in many forms ;)

comedychris

I get that and obviously if something wasn't eco friendly or aninal cruelty free or there was no good substitute then thats fine but in this case there are plenty and I mean hundreds of products that are alternatives, this works fone for me but if it doesn't for some there are alternatives, if you try every other type before saying what your saying thats fine but that's the general attitude of people, easy and does the job so its fine, research and further testing could inspire your experience or match the product but with better ethics or even price etc but most stick with what works regardless and thats not a good thing but, as ling as your happy then no harm done, I try and use better environmental products when I can and if I can't, I tried.

Good cream. 🔥 Added but I personally didn't like it. I feel it leaves a strange texture on my hands unlike my other garnier cream. It's nice and thick tho.

joeymcjoe

I do still wash my hands a lot, but working from home means I don’t need to do it every 30 minutes...

joeymcjoe

When I was suffering badly with excess alcohol gel and handwashing, this is the only hand cream that worked for me and didn't make things worse.

hanif248

These did a decent job, even on my super dry hands. You can feel the layer of cream even after a couple of hours. However, E45 if you have super-duper dry skin!

Yep, it's got a very strong scent, must be the maple syrup, I don't like the scent but others have said they don't mind it.

editat

It's the best hand cream I tried. Apply before going to sleep and skin is feeling great in the morning. Definitely has scent, but it's pleasant.

Deal_HUNT3R

That's odd. I have it here and have been using it a month. Definitely has a scent and I wouldn't call it mild either.

bjs2007uk

This was £1.99 at B&M yesterday just in case anyone is passing

MIDURIX

I've been using this for years and it doesn't have any intentional scent to it, so are you sure it's this one you have been using. Has stuff about maple sap on the front. I bought loads when it was 1.99 at amazon. Its amazing stuff which only needs to be applied once between hand washes and it doesn't completely strip your hands of moisture after washing hand like some hand creams do. Just asked my partner and she agrees that it has no scent, well it would be like saying vasaline has a perfume scent to it, there maybe is a slight smell, but nothing strong in my opion.

oh I just pasted from the item description

Well, it has Benzethonium chloride in it which IS anti-viral as well as antibacterial, so not exactly correct! Not likely to have been tested against Coronavirus of course and without knowing more, may not be at the correct concentration to have the desired effect, making it an expensive and perhaps risky option!
