Never really bothered with Unity or the Gears series. Just selling off old codes you think? Or is it physical copies too

nyasham

Console and PC, yes. They seem to get re-posted every other day for going down a couple of pence. I think the going rate now is somewhere between 99p and £1.70. They might as well bundle them with Kinder eggs and Happy Meals

CupN00dle

They the ones that keep coming up for pence on PC?

nyasham

Assassins Creed Unity and Gears of War 4 would like to have a word with you ;)

CupN00dle

Not really.... you know you don’t have to comment

I just finished this the other week. If you`re a reasonable level gamer, play on the hardest mode, and for what is meant to be a childs game, it`s pretty decent to play. I enjoyed it.

teldel7

The two games are not directly linked by the storyline, only by the title. The battle mechanics are also different. So yes, you can definitely play this before White Witch comes out. Hopefully by the time you finish NNK2, White Witch will have dropped in price ;)

sleepycoyote

Is it worth playing through this now or better to just wait and play through Ni No Kuni: White Witch first when it comes out?

Diancecht

Yeah i was using a pro, maybe im just susceptible to bad aliasing, with the pc version i changed some settings in the ini file to make it look better

Just.Wondering

Fair enough, I play it on PC too, I must admit I do have a pro, but I imagine the game is in 1080p on ps4 and is upscaled via a TV if using a 4k TV, some TV's are better at upscaling though.

Hello everyone thanks for helping each over out i appreciate the nice community. if you have any questions ask me (y)

BizarreJelly

I didn't think it was as good as the first, story and characters are much weaker but it's still definitely worth a play. I paid full price at release and enjoyed it, so for this price i'd recommend it.

Smithers6

How does it compare to the first game? I’ve heard mixed reviews about the story

Just.Wondering

Very tempting.

Dr-Rjinswand

Enough to warrant the full price, it’s not exactly story heavy like the main game but you get a bit and it adds a good load of gameplay. I certainly didn’t feel ripped off paying full price on launch, so this is fantastic value.

This game is so easy you can win the battles with your eyes closed. That's what I thought anyway so I thought I would try it out.....yep it's true. Why they ditched the excellent turn based gameplay I have no idea.

Is this for the full game and the DLC? Sorry if that's a noob question.

davezilla

I got to level 70 just through the game and now away to grind up by redoing the kingsmakers and then faraway Forrest once I’m up a little.

Arizolas

I wasn't a fan of number two, however completed it a while ago I found it difficult to find a good spot to grind and level the creatures Looking forward to the remake of 1

big_rock

Yeah, pretty much. A mix between classic JRPG and action games thanks to the combat. Graphics is very Ghibli-like. It's not hard to platinum if you like the game - takes about 55-60 hours I'd say. (Just don't install the free adventure dlc as that will increase the difficulty to platinum - makes one of the trophies much harder to obtain)

Chainzy

Easy to platinum? Is it like final fantasy mixed with zelda graphics??

Why’s the first one better than the 2nd game

choccie32

This game is well worth £9, loads of hours of gameplay, the remastered of no 1 will go down in price too so it’s worth waiting for that one.

Eamer

They'll do it. Bought. Thanks for posting.

Discobastard

Save your money and get the remaster of the first one. Infinitely better and out later this year

thewrecker7477

No, this is just the season pass :)

knockout60

I presume this does not include the base game, can anyone confirm?

AlexT

In terms of story, some of the DLC adds some nice background info on characters and there are new cutscenes etc. I'm enjoying the DLC stories so far. It's mainly extra background on the characters - although there is a new rabbit faced character who is quite memorable...

AlexT

The DLC is all out and is definitely worth getting if you want to keep playing after the main story ends. It essentially adds a whole bunch of content which fills the gap at higher levels and removes some grinding. I loved the main game and am enjoying the DLC but it's definitely 'endgame content.

Is this a continuation of the PS3 game? I don't often play RPGs, but I love Ghibli stuff.

amanjit04

There’s quite a lot of challenge in the game - not for young children but definitely nostalgic and there are challenging boss battles even for a seasoned jrpg player like myself. Would highly recommend this game

TheGuardian

Not sure how hard it is. I just started playing. The game has a "normal" and "hard" mode and it seems at some point an extra-hard option was added as probably the normal one was too easy. The story looks kind of "family friendly" but then again I can't think of many mature JRPGs unless you consider teenage angst or fan-service a mature theme

andywedge

Fab find and a big belated welcome to hotukdeals @TheGuardian I've added this to the Highlights page.

Weehamish

Any good? Looked like a kids game as in 8 year old kids game does the PC have hard modes? I love RPGs but not if they're no challenge face rolls

It's bad when 84 Metacritic game is said to be bad. Personally I enjoyed it, well worth a tenner
