What's the CeX policy on returns from online purchases, if it turns up with say scratches on the screen but still within Grade B criteria?

I buy and sell a lot of electrical stuff and just got this. It's a bargain at this price, similar to the Oneplus 8 but not quite there. Still great at this price though.

ShamWow

Yeah, some pritortise the fact this is a lighter phone and might enjoy a "curved premium display" I'd they're into that along with its 90hz panel . But a 765g is plenty respectable

Raja007

I never said its trash phone. I said it has got everything except flagship processor and to be honest not everyone need a flagship processor unless they are into gaming and others heavy tasks

ShamWow

I own a POCO F2 Pro which i bought from MI UK for £279 (y), i agree with you but still doesnt make this a bad phone, espeically compared to some of the other trash that gets posted

Can anyone recommend a good screen protector for this? I've heard that tempered glass with UV glue specifically is the way forward but can't find any at all. All help appreciated...!

You're very welcome - the quality of even some of the cheaper handsets is excellent. Friends have had them in the past and I had a chance to have a really good look at the one I recently ordered for a gift. I'm even looking at switching to a Mi 10 from a higher end Huawei, but missed the recent deal.

Thanks for the information, that was very helpful, I may go for one of the Xiaomi phones as it seems alot of people are talking about it.

Mrsweet

The processor is very, very capable. But not the most powerful one there. For people who have to have the most powerful processor (niche market) and those who will fully utilise that power (even more niche again) this will be a main reason not to buy. The rest of the specs are very respectable. I'm not familiar with the OS but I think all are serviceable and often a matter of preference. I'm not sure of the type of usage of your parents so don't want to second guess, but I am very impressed with premium feel of the Note 8 Pro I just bought for just £129 of offer from Xaiomi for my nephews Xmas gift (i had a good play). With 6gb and 128GB also very responsive - don't be misled by that cheap price. The Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite for a bit more also excellent. Some of the other Xaiomi deals sold out but a few guys on here who really know what they are on about also really value the quality of these phones.

superspeedy

what are the drawbacks about this phone over others apart from the above mentioned OS? I wanted to get my parents a new phone (currently have a Honor 6x), so as they are now used to that would want to give them something abit more premium. Specs wise this looks good to me, is there anything i should know or are there better phones at this price point? Wondering why it is at this price when other phones are over the 499 mark

It has to be your notification settings and if you're copying data over from previous phone then it probably copy's the settings over too. Maybe background data is turned off globally or for individual apps? That would cause the issues you're having. Also check data saver is turned off.

nickchalmers

I tried 5 different email apps, no notifications. I turned off all battery optimisations, no notifications. I think I tried all that I could but I just could not get any notifications to come through. The only way I knew I had a new email was to open the app. Any ideas what I was doing wrong?

Dembe

Why did the op8t go back?

nickchalmers

All change...the op8t had to go back but have bought the neo from a hotdeal through amazon warehouse for 312...arrives this morning. I just cannot get notifications to come through on any op device, it must be me not knowing how to set it up cos I'm sure this can't be a thing for everyone. Tried talking to op tech guys but they were absolutely useless. Really disappointed with op...love the hardware but cannot do a long term thing with them. You know what we say with phones...the hardware makes us fall in love but the software keeps us in love!
