aberboy007

always amuzes me they get away with calling them meat names,, when no meat, the best one is vegetarian bacon? is that a pig on a veggie diet or something (lol) , cocktail sausages?, surely to call something a sausage has to contain a certain amount or meat. makes me chuckle

mcek

I know these are meat free, but it's not veggie friendly pesto. I can't see any further information on the Quorn website, except the pesto contains hard fat cheese, and it doesn't say it's vegetarian. edit: I've just checked other products on their website, and they state vegan or vegetarian where appropriate. These are not marked as such.

MEAT EATING TROLL ALERT. (poo)

waycash

its not the vegetarians requesting meat flavoured products its what the companies are making, and whats the problem with making something taste meaty by use of spices and not killing animals in the process, next you'll be saying meat eaters shouldn't be eating cheese & onion crisps,

scfcstoke1

Assume what you want, we were given teeth for a reason, all this veggie and allergy nonsense, Ooo i can't eat this, i can't eat that, i'm allergic to tomato etc...Get a Grip, I'm not bitter that we just lost either.

I think quorn is only banned in Canada I believe and that is down to labelling apparently, if they changed that it would probably be allowed

Processed meat is classed as a carcinogenic too...

Esquiremd

Having puked for 24 hours after eating this message , you are correct, but if should be banned. 5% is a huge amount of people

Quorn (non-vegan) is funny, because it has egg in it which is probably more cruel than meat...

KetanS

Don't worry, no tofu was killed in the making of these products. :D

Why is there a need to disguise Tofu as fake meat? There are plenty of very good Asian dishes with tofu and they are brilliant. This fake meat stuff gives tofu a bad name.

mugen6

I'm not reading that. Provide bullet points please.

Meelo

You know when there is more than one entry under a word in the dictionary? That's because the word has more than one accepted meaning. You are obsessing over the legal definition of the word 'murder' when it was used in a different context on this occasion. There is a valid definition of the word 'murder' when used as a verb that does not reference the legal noun and is clearly what the original poster intended. You might need to look up the definition of 'help' while you've got your dictionary handy because I don't think embarrassing yourself on a thread about some reasonably priced veggie burgers has been of much help to anyone.

mugen6

verb (used with object) Law. to kill by an act constituting murder. The verb references the noun. Happy to help.

Meelo

You've quoted the definition of murder when used as a noun. It was used as a verb, the definition being: to kill or slaughter inhumanly or barbarously. If you're even vaguely aware of how chickens are slaughtered then I think that's a reasonable description.

mugen6

murder (mûrˈdər)► n. The unlawful killing of one human by another, especially with premeditated malice.
