Totally agree with you. Being powered by 4 x AA batteries, it won’t have much oomph or staying power. At 8+ a child should be responsible enough to use an electric sewing machine, Aldi sometimes does one for £29.99 or This deal.

It's not a lot of money but would be better put towards a real machine...

First time I've heard of onbuy, is it a chinese marketplace like AliExpress?

I bought it from netto ages ago (for less than £20-30), I used it yesterday to fit all that cheap burton stuff, it's ok for something like that. Great for all easy jobs, I did something like a pillow from an old blanket or I sew together 2 blankets to make one big one. It just a bit expensive, I'm not sure is it not better to buy that bit bigger for £40 or

This is cheap but you're better off spending a little bit more (about £100 - give or take) on a decent entry level sewing machine than buying one of these. They might cost you a bit more but they will be more versatile than these things. These ones can be very frustrating for some people. That's just my opinion though. :)

This is a really basic sewing machine that struggles to sew anything more than 2 layers of fabric at a time. Might be ok for simple diy tasks or basic hobby crafts, but it’s not gutsy enough to make lined curtains for example. This basic entry level machine is often suggested to be perfect for the beginner, but the cotton regularly breaks or comes unthread from the needle, so patience is required, which may not be ideal for a child or if you’re doing a special task.

Use extreme caution before buying one of these... > On 12 March 2021, Cricut announced it will be limiting users to 20 free uploads per month to Design Space at an unspecified date; the old unlimited uploads will remain available under a paid subscription. This announcement has been criticized by users at the company's unofficial subreddit, and a petition launched in protest. Following the backlash, its CEO apologized, and Cricut eventually scrapped the plans a few days later.

.. or just read Amazon opinions. Company decided to charge for using software required to use this device. Really bad decision

Check out the official sub Reddit, lots of complaints about potential changes and backlash. Stopped me picking one up before.

What's the news on Cricut limiting the number of times per month you can print? Was retracted, but they left the door open to reinstate?

How expensive is cutting blade if there is one?

Sorry it was a code sent to my partner for his account only. If you have an account with them make sure you’re signed up to email and postal contact from them :) I have an account with them I haven’t used in ages but they always send my partner money off codes so I just use his lol

Got the missus the Maker last year. It's been used constantly since..... Good price for this model. Hot.

Oooh I'd be interested in this if you can share the details please 😃

Isn't this a scam? They reduced the prices of the machines due to going to a subscription model for the designs (which used to be free).... This is no better than buying a Pelaton... without a subscription, what's the point.... ;)

Great deal. Thank you for posting.

I just saw this on Amazon...amazing price! Heat heat heat!

I bought this the last time it was posted on here. Brilliant machine, just wish I had time to use it

Love the idea, the amount of negative reviews on amazon has put me off thoough

Interesting, I wasn't aware of them trying this. If they brought out a premium version I would pay it though as right now I use the full silhouette software and export to use cricut. Cricut make the better machine but the silhouette software is far advanced.

How was anything I provided incorrect?
