Have to agree. It was so repetitive that I couldn't believe the rave reviews it was getting in gaming news. Combat was too easy, the only good thing about the game were the graphics. This was the first game that I played to the end forcefully thinking it would get better later on. Was furious when I finished the game. The only other game that made me feel this way was Unreal 2, dear Lord that was terrible too.

I waited with great anticipation for this game at the time. Clunky controls and very repetitive. That said, loved the graphics at the time, and enjoyed the setting and even the initial story to Assassins Creed. I couldn't revisit again though sadly. Things have definitely moved on in gaming.

This was a bad game even at the time.

thanks for letting use know fag.

My apologies, I thought this was odyssey. 😁😁

We're not disagreeing. You're talking about different issues. Your problem with Watch Dogs 2 wasn't framepacing, it was general performance. It's quite well demonstrated that it was simply very demanding and had lots of performance drops in certain areas. AC Origins is actually better here, as it's not *quite* as detailed(less draw calls probably making an improvement), but still has the same kind of thing. People with performance problems(stutter) aren't experiencing microstutter, but just regular drops. Drops make for stutter. Most people just dont know how to identify which is which. And to be fair, they wouldn't, unless they researched the subject themselves. Because ultimately slowdown just feels like slowdown, unless it's like giant hitches that are almost always memory/storage issues. Again, feel free to buy an objectively worse version of the game on console. Even *if* you were experiencing this supposed dreaded framepacing nightmare, you could fix that by locking it down to 30fps. But you're not. And locking it down to 30fps is still an option, either way.

Again, thanks for taking the time to reply, but I simply don't agree with you there. Framedrops to me are defined when 60fps drops to 45-50fps (ie. something I much prefer to a "console 30fps"). However, frame-pacing issues are different. Titles such as WatchDogs 2 where you get a constant 60fps but the frame-pacing is all over the place which results in some frames remaining on screen for longer than it should which equals visual stuttering. That is a deal-breaker for me as I find it far more distracting than the console experience of an "objectively worse version".

Framedrops = stutters. Same thing here. :/ There's no difference. There's no 'microstuttering' issue that happens only with CPU bottlenecks. I can never understand how so many people think that a solid 30fps on console is somehow a preferable situation to 60fps with drops on PC. You can cap framerate on PC to 30fps just fine if you're so bothered by it. And have a ton of overhead for additional effects/resolution, not to mention potential external tweaks/mods and also being cheaper to buy. Plus the PS4 Pro version isn't some super solid 30fps, either. It has framedrops, too. Honestly, PC gamers are forever making the mistake of making good the enemy of perfect. Especially those who laughably choose an objectively worse version on console.

The series did go through a ropey phase until Blacklist came out in 2013 on the XB360 which was very enjoyable IMHO. I recall the days that a SC game save on the original XB allowed you to soft-mod the console! (pirate)

Loved the first few titles, then it all went a bit bad didn't it? I don't remember them quite so highly regarded anyway. We must be due another instalment soon, surely? Heat OP!

ACO gold and FC5 delivered £58.86. Not too bad. Heat.

Postage is 8.99?

This seems like a poor deal. AC was £27 in their Black Friday deal last year. The 'Free' Rayman is a pc download, even if you are buying AC on PS4 They are charging delivery, unless you buy more than one game. You're bound to get AC cheaper somewhere next week.

I'll be honest, I TOTALLY missed this! (angel) Now I remember why I switched to PC games mostly. I just automatically assumed all the prices would be for digital download. Poor form from Ubi. :o (poo)

Can’t believe I didn’t think of that myself, so disappointed!

That delivery charge is steep! (excited) ...I’ll grab my coat :S

Yeah cold on ps4 and xbox as £8.99 delivery ruins the deal. Decent for PC though

I’m with you here! You’re better off getting it from Base for £14.29. That delivery is extortionate!

I agree, Fallout Shelter was fine (though I didn't really appreciate the lootbox of the Lunchboxes). No real need to pay to progress though.
