The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY [XBox] £15.95 @ TheGameCollection

Is this a physical copy?

Thanks. Might get it on PS4. Thanks.

With the original consoles I believe that the PS4 offers the superior visual experience. It runs well on the XBOX One, at least there were no major issues for me

Very interested, if still available pleas

Anyone have first hand experience with this game on the PS4 and Xbox? I wanted to work out which version to go for. Read that the patches have fixed "things" on the PS4 but not so much on Xbox. I just have the normal consoles BTW.

Seems like a fair price for a lot of content. Unfortunately does not include any of the DLC's as far as I can tell.

Nioh maybe they thought Darks Souls + Witcher 3 = Nioh

Thats on PC (Going by search results). Its a few more £ on Xbox. A lot of the time its not the hard copy thats on sale.

they were probably thinking "good things come in threes" but missed the point

Exactly my thought!

What a bizarre pairing.

I was too tempted by the sale, and since i always prefer my games on digital i didn't think it would be cheaper then this for a long time, so i purchased it! What an amazing game it was, definitely worth the sale price, i feel almost bad that i didn't purchase this game when it came out as its worth much more then its released price!!! So glad i purchased it, im about 10 hours in i think, got a few hours of play through left probably. But what a Story!!!! To be honest, im not a huge sci-fi fan, and generally hate futuristic stories, but this games story really got me hooked! In fact forget gaming, its one of the all-time best stories based on AI that ive seen. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Whether you've played it or not ... Witcher 3 is a must buy for everyone A ridiculously incredible game

There's a few games I want but going to wait for black Friday / boxing day.

The Witcher 3 game style is bit of a bridge between RPG-heavy games like Skyrim and action games like Horizon ZD. It looks gorgeous, has great voice acting, well-paced story telling, decent combat and a vast open world, yet constantly entertaining (no lulls). It is by far the best of the Witcher series of games and the GOTY edition has enough content to fill 100+ hours of gaming. Just read a few reviews on Metacritic if you're unsure.

I see Detroit BH as a disc purchase due to the short play time and limited replay appeal but others may disagree. Also consider that while the reviews are mostly positive, the game style might not suit everyone. If you buy when you're ready to play it and trade it in shortly after, you'll lose about a tenner for the privilege of playing. If you're getting cheap PSN credit and game-sharing with someone willing to pay their share, the £27.34 PSN price tag could work out about the same £10 spend for each of you.

Atmosphere throughout the game is incredible, combat takes a bit of getting used to but there are overhaul mods out there. Played it through again a couple years ago and it held up fine. Although, I am a pretty big Witcher fan haha!

Witcher 2 and 3 are nothing like this one

They already have created 2 more games exactly like this game (excited) Just search for The Witcher 2 and The Witcher 3 (cheeky)

Great game. Wished they would make another one like this.

How different we are

GW2 has a good community. Only ran into a handful of toxic players in the 4 years I've been playing. Anyhoo amazing game so heat (+ 10% off for monthly subs)

really tempted as getting sick of MMOs and all the sub-humans you meet in team games. heat added

Great game, just started playing this week having had it for about a year and not played. The fact this is a 3 year old game on a deal at £13.99 says it all, it's still that good.

Decent game I just got bored fast single player games can't hook me anymore :((

Good deal for Witcher 3 under £10. 10% off applied at checkout. Quidco available.

I have not played the other 2 and it didn't effect the gameplay. There is however one part of the game which is at the beginning where an annoying guy quizzes you on the previous games. I just clicked on whatever I thought was the best answer.

Yeah couldn't agree more. The DLCs are better than the main game IMO which is amazing in itself. Hundreds of hours of enjoyment.

Thanks :)

Actually picked this up brand new in Tesco a year/year and half back, GOTY edition too for £15 and it’s still in the cellophane... do I get a medal? Or just imbecile status (lol) 🙈

Nice. Okay I'll Google em when I'm brave enough

Okay interesting. I guess then maybe the base game is a shout. When I'm feeling brave enough then I'll Google em. Chances are tho, if they move like a spider and/or are hairy, then it'll be enough to trip me over!

Correct, it's had some kind of graphical upgrade pack for something like near 4k plus HDR

I got this answer from Steam Community, because my only playthrough was on PC and I haven't yet played the expansion packs: "Only with the hearts of Stone expansion and they're quite creepy. The base game has some insect-like creatures (endregas and arachas) but they don't look that much like spiders".

Yes, I would certainly agree, if you don’t know what you are doing then don’t mess around with this. However it is worth bearing in mind that, with a little work, it is possible to save a few pounds on these things!

Please don't use a vpn on steam!

Yes, if you move about. They can tell from your ip address your location. They have this sort of stuff in place to stop scammers. I have over 300 games in my steam library and I wouldn't want to see all them go, just to save money. Sorry to sound harsh, it's just the reality of the situation. I don't want you or anyone to lose their entire steam account.

I suppose you could create a new steam account and buy it as a gift, then send the key to your main account. That said I highly doubt there will be any issues... it even says you can change store if you move about!

Not sure... Never used Revolut, but if it’s similar to entropay, then probably... Just need a payment method that works!

I'm a big RPG fan, and never could get the hype for this game on PC, the very "akward" movement mechanics puts me off every time I try to give it another go

Thank you so much. I really didn't know that there were such books. I was looking for something decent to read. This will be one (y)

Not sure if you're joking but yes, the books actually came first with the first book coming out about 10 years before the first Witcher game. The author's called Andrzej Sapkowski and the vast majority of main characters, lore, and settings in the game come from his books. There's 2 books which are a sort of short story collection, a 5 book series focused on the first years of Geralt/ Ciri's relationship, and one other more recent stand alone story. The short story collections and what I've read of the main series (4 and a bit out of 5 books so far) have been fantastic, really enjoyable reads full of memorable characters. If you're interested I'd start with The Last Wish then Sword of Destiny before reading the main series. They're the most accessible and there's a couple of key events in there.

There are “The Witcher” books? (horror)

Voted HOT - Great Game, great Dev's great deal

It's nothing like piracy because even though its a lesser amount than other regions, the important part to note is *the money still goes to cdpr directly*, you are simply paying the price that cdpr are officially charging for the game in a different region. We can argue about the morality aspects of pretending you're in a different region to pay a preferred price, but please don't equate this to outright theft.

This is nothing like getting it for free.........

If we are accepting this practice we may as well accept that you can download this for free rather easily. Or is that too frown upon?

As per title, fantastic game for great price. Grab it if you missed previous offers as at this price its worth every penny

I missread the word. My mistake.

Be aware is a phrase meant to spread awareness. It has no inherent negative connotations, unlike the word 'beware'. The person you responded to didn't say beware. There's a difference between spreading awareness and giving a warning. TLDR. Be aware =/= Beware

Worth it for Blood and Wine part alone

As a fan of the GW series and only ever playing Witcher 3 I can tell you they are in different leagues. The Witcher 3 is a 100X better. But as said, in different leagues. One is a MMO and the other is a single player game. Worth picking it up.

Strangely it was the very opposite for me, it was Novigrad that made the game click for me, up until then I wasn't really getting the fuss then suddenly it all changed; I'd say it was one of the best games I've ever played.

I'm not confused at all you have already validated my statement.

Yup. It's not illegal. There is no law about key reselling. Your confusing a crime of stealing credit card details and the practice of reselling sites. If someone steals credit card details, that's a crime. But we are not saying Instant Gaming are stealing Credit Card details are we. Have they been found guilty?

So you are aware and yet you still stated "Just to clarify. There is no legal issue at all with key reselling sites."

Oh okay, great. What did the police say when you passed on your evidence to them? Did they pass it to Interpol or did they say that links to youtube videos wouldn't stand up in court? To be fair I am fully aware of some of the shady business practices that some of these key sellers have been suspected of. That was what my comment was in the description. I know some have been found guilty and shut down. That is obviously not good, as criminal behaviour is bad in anyone's eyes.

Well, that's not true at all its been well documented that a lot of keys are bought in bulk using stolen credit card details and sold on at a fraction of the price before the keys are revoked.
