Thanks. See that offer gonna end on 5th of July

I reported this as 'unexpired', as the same amazing deal is already back on Steam.

Thank you very much, “SpookyMulder” was taken :D spot in though, definitely two of the best episodes, they were never able to recapture the magic of the first couple of seasons (fierce)

Kudos to you sir for that username! The Tooms ones were some of my fave X-Files episodes!

Missed it! *shakes fist* This deal has my name all over it in the summer sale! On your marks...

linux version - heat added. also on sale in steam ( £2.24) but gog is a wee bit cheaper.

I've never seen GOTY edition - I don't think it exists.

Is this considered a DLC? I was looking for a "GOTY" edition for The Witcher 2 but am unsure as to what's, what.

Yeah and I think this sale ends tomorrow but I still cannot decide over it. I realise for £18 you get loads of content but just don't feel like I will play it much. I might be best waiting until Black Friday for all I would play of it between now and then.

I have had it for over two years now and i still find myself only play one or two missions before i quit playing it again, as it is just not doing it for me, but San Andreas just became bc and i am now well into that so swngs and roundabouts i suppose. Lol

Preowned music magpie, also good for the occasional ebay 20% off

Lol will division servers be gone soon? I’m surprised rainbow six is still so damn expensive.

Such a good game. 👌

13.99 from CD Keys as stated but you can get the 5% discount code for CD Keys website https://en-gb.facebook.com/cdkeyscom/app/393344207416996 plus I've attempted quidco for another 13p but v much doubt that will work, at best this can work out at 14.15 at worst its 14.28... either way thats hot with the fact a free World Cup update is on its way :)

Heard so much good about this game... Bought the GOTY edition a while back when it got the 4k update on the One X but I got bored, or should I say distracted by other games... I think I will try again!

@mercutio98uk you were after this right?

OK Cheers :) , I'll get round to it (eventually). I'm playing Pillars of Eternity, at the moment. Wasn't sure in the beginning, but its got me completely immersed now. My steam library is ridiculous, don't think I'll ever get round to playing all these games. (skeptical)

Controls are absolutely fine, it’s not like tying to play System Shock or even as unnatural feeling as Gothic, combat is very simple - it feels more like a rhythm game than an action RPG at times but the story still holds up. If you do go for it- turn lighting to “low” or the in engine cutscenes just won’t work and run in “Windows 7” compatibility mode or you’ll be crashing to desktop every 20 minutes or so. Still even with that - save often. :D

What is the first Witcher like? In terms of the controls and gameplay.

Yawn. What a BORING game.

Same thing with Shadow of Mordor. For that reason despite getting platinum I never got 100% completion. Paid for DLC is ruining games

Definitely worth mentioning. That's why I've just bought this particular deal. I was about 40 his in when I sold the standard edition to buy the game of the year edition, not realising that the game save was not compatible.

Just a heads up, if you buy this and later on buy the game of the year, you'll have to play the campaign again or reach level 30+, because the saves files from the original game aren't compatible with the GOTY edition.

Greatest game of all time. Worth paying extra for the game of the year edition though.

The First W3 Expansion is a bit underwhelming as it's set on the same map as the base game and is basically one really long main quest with a couple of side quests, but Blood and Wine is pretty damn awesome.

Base game and all DLC - Any game that is "Game of the Year" edition includes the same.

Funnily enough my gf was saying the same thing just the other day! Really looking forward to Blood and Wine which she said is on par with the base game, if not better! So I’m in for a treat! 8)

I think I'm going to get this game. I see the Trillogy is £14.20, but be careful as W3 is not GOTY in this bundle. Heck, I might even get W1 and W2... Go nuts! (cheeky)

I didn't say physics which I agree are bit sluggish. Saying that it has option in the menu that changes the character movement to make it less sluggish but still doesn't solve the issue. I didn't really have any issues once I changed it in the options menu.. Again, what combat system would you use? Give me an example.

Some better physics for a start. Same when you're moving the player around obstacles. It's just too 'approximate' and random rather than precise.

Just no. What combat mechanics should they use instead?

Yeah, I had the same problem with the PS4 version. It's to do with games coding that makes standard Witcher 3 saves incompatible. I ended up selling the PS4 version and getting it on PC.

I didn't think that the whole "Turkish currency" thing worked for 360 games, unless it's changed recently? Good price either way though. I guess quite a few people will already have it from when it was free

The combat is strange in that initially it does feel like a button masher - kinda like a Souls game where you don't have to bother defending. When you fight enemies who are a higher level than yourself though you don't stand a chance button mashing - you have to start using the dodge and parry. Parrying seems really clunky at first but to get used to it I recommend going into the bare knuckle boxing matches that will be a quest at some point. As you progress through that even the dodge doesn't really work with the higher skilled opponents so you have to learn how to parry and that helps enormously to get the timings correct when in a sword fight. Once you get used to using it combat becomes quite elegant. Plus the first two difficulty levels (Just the Story! and Story and Sword!) let you get away with button mashing for the most part. Increase that to Blood and Broken Bones! and you have no option but to learn how parry and dodge.

Does combat get better? Seems pretty pants compared to something like Shadow of Mordor, basically keep bashing X until the thing you're attacking dies.

It took me a long time to like this game too. In fact it probably took near enough 30 hours before it finally twigged. The problem with it, at least initially, is there are so many overwhelming variables. Weapons, magic, armour, crossbows, potions, Gwent, levelling up, etc. The truth is that most of that can be ignored until you're ready to start trying them. Just go out, pick a quest that's at a similar level to your current level and have a bash at it. When picking up weapons just swap what you're currently using if it's more powerful. Armour, pick one of light medium or heavy and swap that when you find something stronger (I've never worn anything other than light armour). I've never used a crossbow for anything other than that first Griffin fight. Magic just use Igni initially to give you a slight advantage in fights, eventually you'll try other spells. Learning how to block in a fight is more important initially that what potions to use. When levelling up go initially for the extra energy stuff, then all the light movesets first (never bothered with heavy as hardly ever use it). It'll take ages to get to the more advanced stuff so just making fighting a bit easier for yourself first. Eventually you'll just start investigating the other stuff to see what it does and before you know it you're defeating enemies several levels above you, and enjoying it in the process. Playing Witcher 3 is a long-term commitment, but it's worth it for an extraordinary game. (And Gewnt becomes super addictive once you figure it out).

There is so much content in this game that I'm pretty sure it could last you till the PS5 comes out.

This is on sale for this price so often I'm starting to no longer see it as a deal. It's not a bad price but don't jump on it if you're unsure. It'll be on sale again next week.

Absolutely stunningly good on the X especially the sunsets just breathtaking, tbh even on my original xbox I didn't think it was bad at all in fact still very very pretty. This is an absolute bargain especially at this price, so much gameplay for so little money.

This game is easily still worth at least £30 due to the sheer masterpiece that it is, getting the goty edition at this price is crazy!

I bought it from tesco on xb1 earlier for the slightly cheaper price and used one of my gift cards so its £6.....yeah i think I'll get my moneys worth there ;)

Just started playing it now. Well say just started, told wife I'll have 10 mins on the Xbox while kids had their dinner about 4 hours ago. Really enjoying it. Was a huge fan of the mass effect games and this is in a similar mould. Camera control is a bit twitchy compared to shadow of mordor (controls on that were perfect) so turned it down a bit and I'm crap at combat at the moment. Wished I bought it on PC now, resolution is pretty low, I'm guessing somewhere around 720 or 900p and scenery popup is a bit jarring but so far I'm really getting in to it.

Excellent price paid £22 a few weeks back...Missus loves it.. and its great watching her perform. (embarrassed) Heat from me
