Thank you all you guys for your comments. I could have been interested in buying, but not anymore, thanks.
I have one - not a good buy, even at £37.99 earlier this year. The head goes blunt within a few weeks. The head is also designed in a way that makes cleaning with a brush ineffective & the build-up of hair & skin starts to stink after a while - the only solution is to rinse under hot running water every day. When I first got it I was pleased to get 10 days on a charge, but that's already dropped to 7 days. The unit itself is also big, bulky & cumbersome. The single redeeming feature is that it does catch & cut longer hairs, so you don't get the effect of the odd long whisker that was missed while short & then too long to fit through the holes in the foil. My last Braun (a Cruzer) was bought in 2006, and worked well until earlier this year when it started to fall apart, which is why I returned to the brand. Go buy a Panasonic or a Remington or a rotary type - just not this one.
Yes I've got both and it seems to take a long time using the braun compared to my Phillips rotary wondering whether there's some knack to using it.
Don't buy Braun Series 3 if you are used to a rotary shaver. Truly awful. I'm back to a new rotary shaver, probably Philips.
There's no way the RRP is £110. The highest it has EVER been on amazon was £99 in 2014...it has an average price of £48.06 on three camels.
