Remember that the next time you, or a family member are in the hospital and despite all the pressures NHS staff are under they still give you a service with a smile and do their best and some work crazy hours, surgeons doing bypasses, saving lives one after the other.

There's a lot for the kids in Thomas Land, including several performances of music/acting and a lot of fake snow being sprayed about to make it feel Christmassy. The parade and fireworks at 5.30pm or so are worth hanging about for too.. Just wrap up warm as the cold can get to you after a few hours!Do note that for this event only Thomas Land and the Zoo are open, along with the central route through the park - the rest of the park is closed. We still filled a whole day though, and none of the ride queues were more than a few minutes long.PS Try the mulled wine, it's lovely!

You don't have to be within reasonable distance if you drive, we're 3 hours away & still went. Worst part was the 2+ hours it took to get out if the car park that put me off ever going back!

It's the same getting out of any other place with thousands of cars, you won't ever go anywhere if you feel like that. Besides, the car parks are changing soon and the traffic situation will be very much improved for next year so give it another go.

We've been several years in a row, last year was a massive let down - the entertainment on a night has gone from party games and activities to a table with glitter and paper in the bar, and we paid extra for character breakfast (xmas eve) and they didn't turn up, the kids we've very disappointed.
Great stuff thanks OP booked.

Depends on age if third child mine is 1 so called and booked and it was only about £10
More for a travel cot in the room.

The online system does not work right when you add 3rd child that is a baby as it doubles the price do just call and reconfirmed price would be my advice.

Good deal, have had many a good day out here
Apocalypse standing floorless is in my opinion probably the best ride. The best time to go for those without kids is during term time as you hardly have to queue; walk off one ride straight onto the next. However from now until September it will be very busy.
Storm force is the best wet ride, no water proofing will save you!

This isn't a new deal though, 4 for £80 has been ongoing for a while

So well paid that you felt the need to add 'reasonably'
Funny you should compare supermarket workers. As you may have guessed I am a fireman and prior to that I worked in Safeway. I just found an old payslip from 1998 and with Sunday hours and unsociable hours (anything before 8am and past 7pm) my hourly rate was not far off what I earn almost 20 years later as a fireman. That's how 'reasonably' well paid I am compared to a supermarket worker.
Pension wise. If I was told at Safeway that I could pay over 11% of my wages into a scheme that would in 15 years be scrapped and replaced by one that saw me work 10 years longer and give me roughly half I was promised. I would politely decline. That's how 'excellent' my pension is.

We went yesterday. It was ok for £15 per adult and out under 2 for free. But not amazing value. The rides had long queues. Friends queued over an hour for the train to go to adventure play park. An hour for a 3 minute train ride! Most rides had long queues.
