32" = small TV??

Yes, absolutely, most TVs start at 32" these days, smaller sets are the exception. To be fair LCDs are so thin these days you can fit them in a lot of places you couldn't imagine having a TV before.

Freezing deal though, JVC is nothing more than a Vestel budget set and 720P is very poor these days, 1080P should be the minimum and why only DVD when Bluray has been around well over a decade?

Nothing against unbranded sets mind, my main TV and bedroom sets are both Vestels and work absolutely great but I got them extremely cheap as a result, here you are paying almost big name prices for a no name set....
Was on offer before xmas, i got one for the daughter November for the same price
Seems like they will wack anything on a 32" TV these days before just making them full HD!!!! Does my head in... I don't want a gigantic TV dominating the livingroom, just a 32", Full HD, good sound.... you know... like you could buy 5 years ago.

It def can. Is also multiregion. The laser on ours failed and was completely replaced within 7 months, the 2nd's pivot hinge has broken and SD card internals fallen out after another 12 months. We paid twice this from Amazon. Possibly quite reasonable price even after this experience though.

I think you will find that the avforums reviews are quite basic and naive. …I think you will find that the avforums reviews are quite basic and naive. They rarely state what test setup they use, very little technical details and bang on about how 0's and 1's cannot vary from player to player. If that is the case, then why bother reviewing a device? Other than to comment on ergonomics or interface issues.If you look at the hdtvtest link, you will see that the Xbox one S has an incorrect colour decoding and hence outputs a different picture than intended by the disc/manufacturer.On my 65 OLED, these details do become more evident, although the XB1S is fine to drive my smaller 32 LCD in the kitchen (rather nosily though). Depending on your setup, needs and sensitivity to such changes; you may or may not find the XB1S good enough. But do take the avforums reviews with a large pinch of salt. I love my XB1S, but it is inferior to Panasonic/Sony and Oppo's 4K players.
