Laphroaig Quarter Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 70cl

Cheapest since Black Friday last year...

Same here. Hoping for a deal on the Uigaidial

Wasn't for me. Felt like I was drinking alcohol and mud

Hopefully tomorrow

Was hoping some Ardbeg would be on offer for Prime Day, but not complaining as this excellent as well.

If you haven't already done so you could top up £50 and the extra £7 would get you both bottles for £50 with a little change.

Give a special person in your life 1 thing they’ll love and 1 thing they’ll need: a 70cl bottle of the highly-rated, multi-award winning Laphroaig 10 Year Old Islay Single Malt Sco… Read more

I want trying to imply you didn’t, just setting up my response. Not defensive, just find things like this interesting :) . Keep well

I’m aware of the meaning of disappointment. Your pseudo-intellectual explanation comes across a bit defensive though, just so you know. Maybe you should work on your reading comprehension to avoid future disappointments ;)

Disappointment is not getting what one expected: I did read it, and that’s what got me into the thread (to be disappointed) because my brain told me it was for a pair of glasses most likely due a form of perceptual restoration. It’s because our brains use context to pre-activate the areas of our brains that correspond to what we expect next. So whisky (associated with glasses) alongside a picture of a glass, and mentioning ‘a pair of’ (with these glasses often sold in pairs, not to mention the dual meaning of “eye-glasses” which are always ‘pairs’). My guess is that this is advertised with this picture as such to get people to view it (a ‘hook’ of sorts).

How can you be disappointed about something without even reading the title first?

Disappointed, got excited about a pair of glasses.

Usually at £23 price point this is a saving of additional £1

Think it's been at £19, but that was few years back.

Doesn't tend to get any lower than this. There is something about the taste that profoundly transports me back to the family croft and the salt of the sea and the smoke of the peat - and after a few more into a magical hinterland in the flickering flames of the hearth of the fire somewhere between Brigadoon and Whisky Galore.

I would say (in balance) i preferred the select over the 10, so a great price for a nice whisky

Definitely a great price but I'd pay a little more the 10 or quarter cask if you can wait for a good price. This is a bit meh in my opinion.

Laphroaig 10 Malt Whisky, 70cl - £23 instore @ Tesco, Cromwell Rd

Laphroaig 10 reduced at Tesco Cromwell Road.

I was simply advising the OP to enter the correct info, as a preference to expiring or deleting it as it's still a valid offer. Don't get hung up over something that wasn't even directed at you.

Chill out. Mistakes happen. No harm done

I've expired the deal. Select at £23 is not a deal

Edit the post and put in the correct details.

My mistake. Sorry guys

£26.69 for me with 5% s&s discount (y)

Ardbeg and Laphroaig are probably the most peaty/Smokey/medicinal whiskies you can get. I’d avoid them both if that’s not your thing. It is however very much my thing XD

It doesn't taste that bad lol mmm, tangy...

You might want to give the fine Officers working on Operation Yewtree a call. Sounds like the gentleman feeding you pink saveloys at your local chippy might not be all he purports to be.

Tastes like those pink saveloys you get in the fish and chip shop, in a good way lol

Yes, it's been cheaper but still a bargain at this price. Beware, not a beginner whisky!

Laphroaig Lore, a good whisky at a good price. What more do you need to know? It may be NAS but it's quality, much nicer than the 10 year in my opinion. 5% discount with subscrib… Read more

Now £51.48...

I agree with the uigeadail comparison and both are very good, but I'd give the uigeadail the edge over lore. Heat added

Yes its definitely one to go for if budget allows

10 cask strength is where it's at / ultimateLaphroaig ...not cheap sadly
