We had a few readers fail over the years, they don't last long. It's not the fastest but for tiny files. We've had this reader for two or three years, never failed. We got the 3.0/3.1 reader last week which was three quid odd on sale. Anyone recommend any faster readers

Great deal, these wee card readers are excellent and at that price I’ve ordered two for back ups , heat from me.

There are £1 Integral branded card readers at Poundland? Also, USB 2.0 is still fine for a lot of people. You also have to have an SD card capable of transferring high speeds to benefit from USB 3.0 speeds anyway. At the £1.99 price, this is a good deal, especially if you want one as a back-up etc (which I do). Thanks OP.

Don't remember Poundland delivering to my front door. Heat added OP, can't complain if using to go through old SD cards

COLD. USB 2.0 is veeeeery slow. I wouldn't pay £2 for this. You can pick them up for £1 at Poundland. But you're better off paying £6 for a USB 3.0 or 3.1 instead. They're very, very quick.

I know its only 16Gb but you get 2!! so less than £6 each. £25.96 at Amazon but may be cheaper elsewhere. U3 30MB/s Useful for: 4K video, RAW images shot in high speed burst mode

Trust isn't anecdotes.......I think it's reasonable to expect Seagate once they've won their customers trust back to betray that by cheapening the drives.........time will tell but companies get greedy make mistakes and only part of that customer base comes back......if they do start failing drives again they'll lose all of their the end I am totally western digital I've yet to see a new drive fail...... SanDisk micro SD cards are the same i slam them too that's again far from anecdotes.......your trying to provide black and white answer which I never made its ok to look at a cheap manufacturer and question why they are cheap.......then you can say cheap and nasty.........I don't take chance with data whilst I have everything backed up twice my photos in the cloud too I see the importance of putting a hard drive in my mum's house just in case my house burns down.....this is just a 16gb card tbh I have a SanDisk wireless stick 16gb 50 quid that copies wirelessly over an intranet so I'm covered even in remote senarios where you need to put things on tellys or phones of course you have WiFi direct but what if that isn't available...........

Whilst anecdotes are not data, I have six U3 V30/V60 tier Integral cards for use in various mirrorless cameras and they get slammed. They seem to cope. None have failed in a few years use. That being said I have 5+ year old Sandisk Extreme cards that are also still trucking, my only beef with them is the wildly inconsistent performance stats quoted (or suspiciously not mentioned) on their packaging. I've had a lot of Kingston micro-SD cards fail in my time, which might just be bad luck but I've left them alone in recent years.

Integral are like Seagate I wouldn't touch them........whereas SanDisk are like western digital........everybody says Seagate don't f everyone over anymore but they did is everything when you talk about data loss......I think in 10 years one of my wd recert 4tb orange my passport drives with SMR btw came up with a check disk error it was cexxed the next day and I lost a tenner

I've been a photographer for 10 years. Shooting cards back to back. Only had a few sandisks, mostly other brands, in 10 years I had 2 cars issues (full card dead and 1 with a batch corrupted files) both issues were on sandisk. I rather trust far more reliable and uk made brands like integral which are not just cheaper but faster and so far, much more reliable to me

If your using them like dash cams you need endurance cards.....if SanDisk find dashcam footage on a normal Cards that invalidates the's in the t+c I'm not saying you are going to get caught because there won't be dash cam footage but if your usage is the same then I'm not surprised you've got usage is karaoke I've raided a 400 and a 512 to give me access to rigmars 180000 karaoke backing tracks my usage is industrial but not endurance .....I'm a music promoter / manager

X100V for 1.99 - bargain! :{

Evidently the poster repurposed this deal after realising the previous error RE the camera model. Fair enough!

Sorry guys, I thought it was a genuine price as they had them listed on eBay and OnBuy at a slightly higher price which is normal for Rarewaves being cheaper on their main site, but they have been removed as well.

Was kicking myself for missing these but looks like I dodged a bullet if they are just refunding orders. Did they ever actually sell them at this price or did they cancel last time too? Any 32GB cards at a similar sort of price to this (don't care about brand as long as not fake)?

Yes, refunded. Thanks, OP for the heads up though. (y)

Just to report that I had success via Facebook DM. My refund has now come through, a week after having contacted them via Facebook. Fat waste of time though. Will never use them again.

Just tried web chat again, but stuck at We're transferring your chat to another agent for the last 30 minutes. Tried a Facebook DM but again no answer. (mad)

I managed to get the chat working, it was an ad/pop up blocker that was blocking the live chat button. However, tried it 3 seperate times now, and get as far as 'You may be in a queue, please hold' and then nothing... no responses from support. Have left it for hours and they never come back. Reading ever increasing comments on Facebook and Twitter, this isn't isolated. Its like Currys PC World Business have massively dropped the ball. My order was only for a £3 SD card, but its the prinicipal now. I want to cancel and get my refund, again which may be even harder than getting the SD Card!!

I think the chat button only appears if someone is online to chat. I was in a queue once after waiting over an hour and they just stopped when I was next in line. This was about midday. Went back to site and could not see the chat link. 30 mins later it appeared again and I was again at the back of the queue.

Yeah, I had a few issues with the button not appearing too. I think it relates to whether you have ad-blocking enabled. First time I contacted them via web chat I had to disable my router-level ad-blocking to get it to display. The second time I tried from my work PC (which doesn't have router-level ad-blocking) I ended up using Opera, as the only one that would display the button. I'm pretty sure I tried disabling uBlock Origin in my usual browsers first, before I tried Opera. It may just have been coincidence that it worked in Opera, if the button is a bit flaky anyway. It's definitely the business site you want. Judging by other people's comments on FB, I think getting a refund is likely going to be as difficult as getting them to fulfill the order. There is also a phone number, 0344 561 6789, I haven't tried it though, and the FB comments suggest folk haven't had much joy via that route either. It's a bloody cheek they've got debiting my card knowing full well the order wasn't dispatched (annoyed) I'll give it one more try next week, before I go public on FB.

Probably gonna be neg 3 million degrees but I'm only posting because it has high read/write speeds.

That's a heck of a price for such a fast card. Similar from SanDisk/Lexar are double that

I found this review: Apparently faster than advertised too
