All Table Tennis Discounts, Offers and Sale - August 2020
Hah, yeah, picked one with glowing reviews (one of which even mentioned having the ebay one previously & being well happy with the upgrade). Fingers crossed.
Hopefully they’re better than the ones on eBay (lol) , if not, I’ll be doing some more 3D printing later this week ;)
Just ordered one on Etsy - loads to choose from (y)
Apparently you can buy them online, but the HUKD member I printed that one for said the one he bought was rubbish, hence why I offered to make that one for him. I also designed & printed this box for my Quest headphones...
Oh wow, where can you source them online? I love what people can do with 3D printing!
That looks awesome! I've just tried to message you as well but it says you've opted out of receiving messages from users too (lol) I've activated mine in the settings now, so you should be able to contact me (y)
All put together and tested with my left controller. I’ve lined the insides with electrical tape so it doesn’t scratch the controller (tested). I haven’t tested it in game yet though (as it’s setup for me being right handed), if I get chance later I’ll try it out (y)
Tried messaging you, but says I can’t (you’re not set up to receive texts). All printed and filed/sanded down to get rid of the majority of the rough parts. I just need to check the fit using my controller next.
Ah brilliant, thanks loads! Seriously don't worry about painting it and stuff, but it would be great if it didn't scratch the controller. I'll drop you a message later :)
Printing started... (y)
Probably the Airoc M or even the S if you prefer softer rubbers. The Airoc Astro is faster Not impressed with the Boost series or the Magna series and don't know about the Neos (but they're certainly cheap enough to try!)
Looks good thanks I'll check them out. Which would you recommend out of the four for BH good control needed?
If you're still looking for rubbers, I just got an email that Thorntons is doing an end of life clearance of Stiga rubbers. I tried posting as a deal but Thornton's Table Tennis still isn't accepted as "the merchant is currently unsuitable for listing on hotukdeals" Check it out - Stiga Airoc and Airoc Astro series for only £19.99 + £2.99 delivery. They're also clearing off the Stiga Boost, Magna, and Neos series but TBH the Airoc series is better. Boost is rather mushy (so isn't great on anything but stiff, fast blades) and Magna TC II just doesn't have good levels of spin for the price you pay.
Then for a budget option, I suggest the Big Dipper (can generally get it for around £20 in the UK). And for a 'better' option I would recommend the Sanwei Gear Hyper (£37 delivered from Topspin TT - there's free delivery if you spend >£60) or the Tibhar K1 Plus (at Prott.vip or it's currently on sale this week for about £30 on TT11, shipping is 15€ though unless you spend more than 80€) You may already know this but for the benefit of others, the BH flick off backspin serves is mainly a matter a few things. I'll focus on two points (equipment like rubbers play a part but not hugely so): - Timing - hitting at the peak of the bounce - Brushing the ball instead of hitting through it. Get the above two right, and you'll be flicking serves back more consistently. I've greatly simplified it since it's never a good idea to focus on too many coaching points but it should get you going.
You know your stuff haha. I am working on the BH flick off backspin serves. Not great atm but need something with grip that helps it get over. I usually drive and counter hit with BH so need something with decent control and power to help that. Not massive looper from BH in normal play.
I certainly wouldn't want to buy a Home Mini table and find out it was a Home Large table :D On a slightly more serious note, if the Mini is too small for you, you can also consider the Home Midi. It's hard to find though!
1.25m long, tiny
And probably terrible bounce :)
Get a wall paper pasting table instead and save £150 job done
Indeed, thank you!
Then the £85 from Speedy Bat Sports is a significant saving!
Thanks again, they were £130 too when I purchased!
Think that's the only one you'll find. Can't find it anywhere else since it's discontinued
I haven’t followed through on the order but that is fab, thank you very much!
Thank you for this. Just ordered now from Argos!
Bought a similar set from Tesco’s for £4.99
I got a simular set form Decathalon a couple of years ago, but came in a nice plastic storage box too. Was around £10
They have to meet certain standards to be posted on site.
And OOS already?
OOS ;( ;( ;(
OOS. Did anyone pick one up?
Anyone know what size it is when folded up? Might buy if it is small enough to slide in understair cupboard.
I'd love one if I had enough space in my house...I used to have one in my hall in the apartment I was renting when I worked in the Middle East. I've tried playing outside before, it just doesn't cut it.
Like any other toys. Kids these days are spoilt to the max.
My kids loved this... for about 48hr.
This one offers a harder challenge (angel)
Why not get a regular table tennis bat and ball and keep count in your head?
No, actually it doesn't XD
Out of Stock
Nets great but the paddles and balls are shocking!
Coming soon to a charity shop near you.
Did you go for this?
How do these compare to Cornilleau Outdoor Table Tennis Tables?
Funnily enough I’ve just looked out of my window and thought I fancy a game of outdoor table tennis. (lol) (lol)
Says it includes cover
I'd recommend checking out Decathlon's range as well - I bought a table with similar specs (to my non-expert eyes) from them in the summer which is available for £250 (link). Hours of outdoor fun for the kids. Took a good bit longer than 15 mins to put together, mind. Decathlon do covers, outdoor balls etc as well for decent prices.
For Folding Table Tennis Table the price shows £79.99, is the discount already over or is it applied on the checkout?
steer clear of the multi games ones. they are jack of all trades and master of none, very poor quality and a pain to store. Especially the table football bit with the poles sticking out.
I thought the size would be a bit too small as well. Oh, well. Thanks for your input.
The bats that come with this set would also be terrible. Get a couple of Palio 1 star bats instead - easily found on Amazon and ebay. Only just over a tenner each and they have tons of spin and control. Very good for beginners and advanced beginners. Avoid ANY table tennis bat in Sports Direct and they're all massively overpriced for what you get. I assemble table tennis bats for people as a sideline and am a level 1 table tennis coach
Saw this late, there would be near 0 spin on these ones. Sandpaper bats would have more spin than these... I suggest the Yinhe 01b or the Palio 1 star factory made bats on a budget. My cheapest custom build I've done was £15
Is the quality good? The handle doesn't hurt the thumb? Heat for the great offer though!
Has anyone got a Donnay Outdoor 1 table? Trying to find a cover to fit it whilst folded...???
The Dunlop TTo4 outdoor table at £280 delivered (with two Rage paddles, 8 balls and a cover) offers a 6mm ACP composite aluminium top that gives you better bounce characteristics than the 4mm melamine Butterfly surface. A 25mm thick competition table should achieve a bounce height of 230mm from a measured drop height of 300mm. The Dunlop achieves 220mm, whereas the Butterfly will be lower. The Dunlop TTo4 ACP top should also last longer too. If you prefer the Butterfly brand then go for it, but there's better value out there.
I don,t understand outdoor ping pong. The slightest breeze and the ball goes anywhere.I once tried to play with one of these in FRANCE Eurocamp and even though there was hardly any breeze we just gave up as you could not have a proper game.
Ordered yesterday. Just had a call from Ransome Sporting Goods on behalf of Costco. Sold out, unless I want to wait till end of August. Will have to get from somewhere else now.
Is it a trampoline you're thinking of? :D We bought the Argos Slazenger indoor outdoor one for around £120 when it was on HUKD a few months ago. It's absolutely fine for us non-pros and can recommend for the price. More of a social thing and gets the kids out the house when the weather is nice. Bit of a pain to move it around but don't want to leave it outside, despite the name.
£8.75. Expired now.
Thanks OP, got them at the lower price, off on hols next week and they have great fixed outdoor tables where I'm going but useless bats!
Its gone uppp
Only seeing £8.12 - any ideas why?
I play a lot of outdoor table tennis in London and these coaches have some good recommendations https://www.tabletenniscoach.me.uk/tips-buying-outdoor-table-tennis-table/ https://www.experttabletennis.com/best-table-tennis-tables/
Know any decent tables that will cope with bring stored outside - are Cornilleau Outdoor Table Tennis Tables with the money?
Thanks. Yeah, does the job I think. Had some good use out of mine now so can’t complain. (y)
nice table for outdoors. worth 145 only
Im an experienced/ high level table tennis player in England. So if anyone (in Nottingham) wants some sessions, contact me However i am in London time to time.

0 in York, shame
Do you have to fight for a table if too many people turn up? (devil)
Yay thank you for this. I have just ordered some bats and balls so I can play at my local park.
Looks like it’s delivery only which increases the price by £6.95
https://www.tabletenniscoach.me.uk/guide-to-buying-a-table-tennis-table/ https://www.tabletenniscoach.me.uk/tips-buying-outdoor-table-tennis-table/ "I’m going to give the same advice for outdoor table tennis tables! The budget price outdoor tables are quite flimsy, more likely to break and the bounce of the ball is terrible. To get a decent outdoor table tennis table, which will last you many years and has a decent bounce, you’ll need to spend in the region of £300-£500"
Not a chance :) Not even as a casual training table.
Wish someone would find a great deal for an Outdoor table cos I can't :(
Please let me know when you write your autobiography. Sounds fascinating
For a proper family experience you need to buy a few more cheap bats, and then play until all but one lose their surfacing. You can then fight over getting the one "good" bat.
