Yet I struggle with professional, despite there being players who play several tiers above.

I can best him, but only if I do my "perfect" serve, which is typically an ace 4/5 with the other bring a fault. And sometimes pro hits starting edge of table when trying a fancy serve.

Best tip I have is practice keeping it slow and working the two far corners but also the near sides too, you'll find you'll be able to hit the areas acurately before long and at Pro and below, it doesn't punish you for given him too much time to strike the ball and rewards you for placement
I love this game. First game which made me happy that I owned VR

It sounds stupid saying that, but unlike in real life, you don't have to go around picking up the ball! The gameplay is as close to the real thing as you'll get.

Completely agree. I sucked in real life, but then I played this, and in practice, you can strike the ball and immediately generate a new ball by squeezing for a ball in your non-dominant hand, really natural. I just did that over and over till I learned some basic techniques, which didn't take long. Then went and played in real life and I was infinitely improved.

It's a very therapeutic game too I find, time disappears in there

Great find, this is a brilliant, sturdy games table!. We purchased this last Christmas for our then 5 and 8 year old boys and it’s still going strong now.. admittedly table tennis has only been played a few times but football and pool are still played weekly.. We’ve had some great family tournaments, lots of laughs and only a few tears!. Have some heat! 🔥

Just to answer my own question, it is a Giant Dragon E6505. It has a 15mm MDF playing surface which is fine for recreational use. I have ordered one for the garage.
Does anyone know what make and model this table is? I'm tempted to buy one.
Still got 1 left in Newcastle :-)

For £22 don't expect much. These things are usually bought at Christmas then never seen again.

I certainly wouldn't give it as a main present X)
We have this, and it falls apart quite easily. Stoppers at the end of the football poles fall off easily. Pool balls are tiny, which is fine but they are lightweight. Does the job, but don't expect too much.
