Yeah I’m glad they didn’t bring back the Sims Store like with The Sims 3 that was micro transactions to a whole other level! (skeptical)

Kiyoshi

Expansion: £20 The base game plus all the previous expansions: £647981064845

m.ad

The EA cashcow done right. People spend hundreds on Sims expansions and nobody panics... but if you are asked to pay to play as Luke Skywalker in Battlefront, EVERYONE LOSES THEIR MINDS!! (And rightly so - microtransactions ruin games by holding the best stuff back!)

jewels8885

Sims 4 is the most expensive game I ever come across, £280 in a year and still counting (lol) (lol)

Westwoodo

It's 3% off with Facebook now.

Yeh some games are rather annoying, I couldn't get into this on the PC, used to love the first!!

pinkchick1987

It wasn’t too bad actually, but I’m not used to playing games and I don’t really have the patience or time for it!

UltimatePhoenix

Is it bad on console?? I've got it for the kids, they play it on PC all the time but seem to make new characters often

bara.menyn

Showing as £22 now 😥

If you're lucky you may still be able to pick it up I'm Sainsbury's. I did, for the same price

Macdory

Nope - tied to sub. Hence why I said it was an alternative :)

StevenRogers

Can you keep the game after the year if you don’t renew?

leaston

Nice price for Sims 4 alone. I have just been reading about Origin Access too. If you don't want a year's sub, it is also available for £3.99/mth and you can cancel at any time apparently. 115 games currently available for unlimited play when you're a member. That's a pretty good deal if you like the games on offer!

Macdory

Alternatively, you can get a year of Origin Access for £20 which includes The Sims 4 Deluxe and lots of other games. Basically comes down to if you think you will get a years worth or more gaming out of The Sims 4 Voted hot, as cheapest around, but just flagging an alternative that may be better suited to some people.

I'm kind of old fashioned in that I'd sooner own a physical copy that I have for life, like in I can go back to in 10-20 years or hand down than what is in affect a rental system that can see games taken off the shelf or lose access to unless you continue to subscribe. But I can still see this as a deal for those that prefer gaming this way.

JokerFan

Don't believe so but you can build a basement and remove the stairs ;)

carlhoughton10

I second this, brilliant game which was sadly overshadowed by the likes of DMC, Bayonetta, and of course God of War.

TomF

I loled at the price of all the dlc for sims4. The total came to well over £500. Instant gaming have the sims4 at ~£16

loopylloyd

Awesome... Might have to get myself an EA Access sub again, been itching to play Burnout Paradise Remastered! Bang for buck EA Access is.

The World Cup has probably helped. It’s generally accepted that I’ll do my own thing at night, and I’m invariably doing a bit of farming while the footie’s on. Being from north of the border, I’m not sure what I think about this ‘England in the last four’ nonsense (skeptical) ;)

BubaMan

Wow! I think I've had a total of 15 hours to game over the last month and my Vita has more or less become my daughter's Vita, thanks to Undertale and Hatsune Miku. I've had to start prioritising by membership expiry, then physical games, starting with the shortest HLTB times (nerd) It's way too hot for the PSVR atm but I've developed a backlog there too now (embarrassed)

silvercondor

Likewise! Yet I’ve spent almost 100 hours playing Stardew Valley on the Vita the past few weeks. Fired up the Xbox One this morning, actually. Just installed Gears of War 4 (Gears being one of my favourite seriesiesies).

BubaMan

Shhh... The Elders of the Internet are watching! Because of this site, I have a ridiculous backlog on PS4 and a giant selection of games on XB1 for peanuts through Game Pass, EA Access and GWG. I need HotUKlongtermsick to get through it all!

silvercondor

As you’ve alluded to previously @BubaMan ... combining this with, er, the ability to make cheap international calls (ahem) would make this a no-brainer.

Terreneflame

It isnt “bad for gaming” it shows boomerang could have charged more, that is all. this isnt some limited edition item, just very underpriced :)

trojan34

Why would boomerang care? They just take the money.

how2

This is Bad for gaming, I have emailed Boomerang about this problem, I think that a max of 2 copies person buyer. All your hard work in finding the deal goes to waste.

mixmixi

Clearly a scalper. It sold out as soon as I put the links up here. Had to remove it from title.
