My question too! No answers as yet. I've not voted either way as I don't drink brandy.
£11 -nice offer i think but whats making it cold please?
They had a similar offer last year https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/ej-original-brandy-70cl-was-1650-now-13-at-asda-also-at-sainsburys-applying-checkoutsmart-2860084 I think the negative votes are just brain dead group thinking morons. Not one has posted a better deal,or had the courage to comment.
Obviously can be bad judging by the voting, is it because of the brand?
Not packaging it with a spoon, Criminal...
Why would anyone ruin brandy by polluting it with curdled milk? Criminal.
Why would anyone want to ruin beautiful, delicious clotted cream by polluting it with Brandy? Criminal.
170g according to the pic
I just use this for making peppercorn sauce with my fillet steak, harsh taste matches well. Shallots fried in butter, crushed peppercorns, deglaze pan with this, add beef stock, touch of sugar, cornflour and add creme fraiche...
Okay for lighting the barbecue, certainly not worth drinking...
I've drunk a litre of similar spirits in the day, nothing bad happened until I fell off my bike that I was riding at the time.
This stuff about as rough as it gets. Heat added as it's 1L of spirits for £16.
It's a litre of a branded spirit, it's sub £20 and it's not vodka. Heat given
Must be massive if you need 2 bags for life to carry them home in 🤪
Voted hot for Champagne Cognac
Good price. I don't drink it neat. Usually mix with sugar or syrup and lime juice to make pisco sours.
Any idea how it tastes?
See people rockin’ Hear people chantin’ It is Hot Hot Hot! Keep up the spirits !!! ..... (lol)
Grants should be in the DIY section under paint stripper.
Woo hoo, just as my 70cl bottle (That was £12 a couple of weeks back) is getting perilously low!
Can confirm that £15 instore today. Offer ends 03/04/18
As you say still £16 online hope someone can let us know if it's that price in store?
The awkward moment when you pay 10p in your own local last month lol
You were robbed! Lol
This actually tastes ok bought a load last year but at 25p...
About the right price now.
Ha, this post is the first result in google for suggestion 3. Apparently hasn't been done, so as of right now looks like there's... 80 possible candidates?
It's OK not rough but no great depth of flavour. For the price it's a great deal and will keep the Mrs from my Carlos No.1!
It's a great deal. Just a week ago I bought 35 cl at £9.5. 1ltr at 16 great price.
Was this price at christmas and oddly enough I opened one up earlier. Not bad tasting for the price, certainly had a LOT worse (y)
I buy this fairly often when traveling. A litre bottle of Three Barrels costs 16.50 Euros (roughly £14.75) in the duty free at Basel-Mulhouse airport (close to where this is made). So 16 quid from a UK supermarket is a pretty good deal. Thanks OP!
9 bottles left at the St. James retail park Harrogate/knaresbro
Just ordered 2 bottles online so back in stock.
Got six in store. Happy days!
Oos online when try add to basket
Better get on that time machine you have then...
Tesco's offer 1L for £15 before Christmas was even better ;)
Good find. Thank you
Decent find. It would be rude not to procure a couple. Cheers OP!
One would be better off buying the 1L bottle at Asda for £18
Here Sam stick it in one of these with some coke (or coctail as you call it) Remy Martin's 1738 Accord Royal Cognac was created to sit between their VSOP and XO. It is named in honour of the Accord Royal granted by King Louis XV to Rémy Martin in 1738, allowing the firm to use his land to plant vines. This is a rich and robust Cognac. V.S. ("very special") or ✯✯✯ (three stars) designates a blend in which the youngest brandy has been stored for at least two years in a cask.V.S.O.P. ("very superior old pale"), Reserve or ✯✯✯✯✯ (five stars) designates a blend in which the youngest brandy is stored for at least four years in a cask.XO ("extra old") or Napoléon designates a blend in which the youngest brandy is stored for at least six years.
Been this price on Amazon for about a month now.
I rather buy a old vintage at £24 than this new produce . Does not mention vintage in this
I presume this will depend on stores having too much stock left, as well as depending on the date, so it will be store specific - mine still had jars of Robertson's mincemeat at 10p last week, and nobody buying them.
Always one of, if not the last piece of christmas left on the shelfs every year.Does this ever get bought at a non reduced price ? That little bird should tell the stock controller not to buy in so many !!
Coincidentally, got two today - one for our Aldi Xmas pud which has its Best Before date at the end of this month, after we failed to eat it over Xmas!
gotta love B&M 10p deals, reminds me of the good old 1p deals at tesco RIP. Since tesco shut some of their little sh$tty metros etc these 1p deals have disappeared. Shame
Got mine in a nice tin
VS is £20, but this one (VSOP) is £25
£20 in Waitrose
Yes you are correct ... the 'OP' is missing from the £19.50 deal we got, but that doesn't matter as it's a present for the Old People, who might go missing themselves
thanks matwalabo, great deal you posted. (y)
:) Well written...
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you as well. If you read the one Asda customer review for this brandy from last year...can you guess who wrote it?, sorry no prizes for the correct answer. (y)
My sister in law bought me this for my birthday a few years back and since then, I've stopped wasting money on VS Cognac as there's not much in with with ginger ale added. Great for general drinking and keeps my nice Hine for when I want something special.
There's also a -£2 from Quidco Clicksnap (at Sainsbury's) if you're not in CheckOutSmart.
This stuff is rough.
£13.99 for 700ml works out at £19.98/litre
This was on at Asda last week, now back up to £19, heat added (y)
£13.99, is that a 1 litre bottle though ?
Got to stock up before min price applys here in Scotland
Price increased to over £7 now.
Mustard and taragon for £2.06 though: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01GPNPQWM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
