Funny enough, I got my deal yesterday too, similar to yours but mine is £30 a month + £20 activation fee. 100mb + player tv + talk more weekends - £50 bill credit - £50 refer a friend = £280 or £23.33 per month... XD

I am tempted to try and get them to match the new customer offer for this at £29/month. Presume you tried and they said that was the best they could do?

I just got 100mb broadband, telephone, and the basic tv with new modem and v6 box for £32 for 18months existing customer.

Virgin page states 'new customers only' - see bignasty187 comment, as an existing customer they were offered this for £39 p/m.

Good deal.

Yes the prices are always different

That's why I moved to BT. BT always has better deal for existing customers wheras with Virgin its the other way around.

I quite agree, the whole sky TV thing is a big con, it makes me laugh that they've left open this big loophole for these apps companies to exploit, if sky and others charged a reasonable price for there services in the first place, then maybe most people wouldn't go and use these apps. Do you also find that when you call virgin media, every rep gives you a different price for the same service?

I got offered that same deal today for 24.50 so took it. I will run it along my iptv subscription, cos sports and movie channels can be expensive if going through virgin.

That's for new customers, after 12 months it goes up and even with negotiating it may still be more than £88

Coming up on BT Showcase BT Showcase is closing. BT is from next season no longer obligated to provide Free-to-air Champions and Europa League coverage. Finals will be shown live online.

So it’s the OPs fault that BT bid more than sky? Or Uefas fault for selling to a higher bidder? It’s nothing like your ham analogy either - the library is a public service which we pay for through taxes anyway - ITV are a commercial company that no longer see the benefit of providing champions league football as the return on investment is not there for them - they never ran it as a public service. I can’t stand this culture of everyone being owed something and expecting things for free - I bet if the champions league was on BBC you’d be complaining that it is being paid for by every tax payer to provide this ‘benefit’ when not everyone wants to watch it. Oh and if you don’t think it’s free than I’m pretty sure you don’t understand the word as at the point of consumption there is no additional cost. I bet you write and complain when your rice isn’t white enough or that your coffee isn’t black enough

Good deal. If you have Plusnet you can also get all the BT sport channels via the BT sport website for £5 a month.

Oh dear someone got their knickers in a twist. you could also argue they were not free on ITV as you needed a TV licence to switch on your TV. OP have some heat all round well done!

This didn't work for me on my Freeview 115 channel, just kept getting Lampard handshake promo (mad) . Didn't have much luck on the website either. But when I tried a football stream, it worked...

Is this still on?

I got BT Phone and Internet for £28.99 a month and it said “Hurry deal expires in 12hours”........ So I rushed my order through, sacrificing BT Sports as was an expensive add on. Then..... 12 hours later and BT Sports has been offered Free for 12 months via Sky!! My line went live last Weds so a week ago. How do I go about getting the Sky Sports. Every time I try doing it online, it keeps trying to get me to put through a whole new order!? Do you think BT will honour the Sky Sports? HD add on seems expensive around £6 extra a month however

can you cancel BT sport after the free period?

Still waiting for BT to install. 4 weeks later 1 cancelled appointment and now cancelled order because they cannot find my address? Shambles of a company. Now 10 days of no internet.....

Even though I provided 30 days cancellation notice after 12 months, I appear to have been charged a further 25.99. I've worked it out and looking back at the bills, BT charged me 12 x 11.49 and then the 13th payment of 25.99!! And my BT Sport wasn't viewable surprisingly after the 12 months were up, so effectively I've been charged 25.99 for nothing. I haven't rang BT yet but it will be interesting what they say. So people check you bills after you cancel.

Can you also receive the AMC Channel which is part of the sports package only I don’t see it listed

Hi, no it wasn't me. But basically all you need to do it get the affiliated link up and copy the link. Then clear all your cookies and close the website down. Open a new page go to quidco/tcb load and open the BT broadband page then in the web addresse paste the copied linked from the affiliated page and that should open the page you need. Then just order from that page and hopefully it should track.

Hi Was it you that posted a link to "how to change the affiliate link to get the bt / mse AND tcb / quidco" from another hukd forum post? I am looking for it and can't seem to find it now that I've come back to do it! cheers

Just give them your notice and worry about the new contract later. They say the service will cease so you shouldn't incur any charges...

That is exactly what I am confused and worried about. My Virgin contract will end on 21/4 and they told me that I give them my 30 days notice on 22/3 at the latest but if I do that, when should I ask the new provider to start the contract without incurring any charges from Virgin?

i am still in the contract until 03/04, can't get the deal ,'already a BT broadband customer, the package you selected isn't available'

Good to hear, what did you pay per month on your order please as the landing page from Quidco is higher than mentioned above?

PS. CASHBACK through quidco and tcb work on cookies so aslong as you visit through there link but finish the mse deal through bt webpage you will get the cashback

I got £80 from quidco as per picture below. And as i have sky, i never thought of anyone else. Free sports if u want join bt tv as well. I was paying olusnet £20 month for unlimited broadband. It works cheaper for me at Around £17 month for me in cash terms with this deal and i get free sport for 18months

That is why I asked the question, as the Op mentioned the lower package price and the higher Cashback rate, so I was asking how this can be achieved please. On other sites in the past it is the package (eg infinity 1) that is tracking, not the price actually paid (it worked this way previously with mobile phone deals according to some comments on here). I don’t know for BT, hence asking for clarification here.

I'm dammed if I see how that would work, once you've gone via mse link at £29.99 for 52mb fibre, then start tcb or Quidco link your previous mse link doesn't show up in the tcb/Quidco links, as it's different affiliated offers specific to those individual affiliated links! I tried looking at combining mse and tcb/Quidco yesterday but it just wouldn't work, ended up purchasing the mse link.

To all reading this.... if you ring up and ask for your existing deal to be synced with the free BT sports offer it is possible ... Nope because BT only have to make the european games available free to air they did freeview to stop sky customers viewing it as they are rivals. It will be gone end of the season, the only free euro games next season will be 12 Europa games on German 19.2e via satellite and even German champs league has gone too. Oh yes and the 2 finals on YouTube. Satellite is dying.... Everyone pirate streams nowadays anyway don't they ?!?

Is this channel on sky at all?

well said Boba. In my opinion BT advertises itself as the the BBC of internet providers. The bastion of the nation and then offers hand outs to the so called self marginalised (us) that would not be worth the argument to get the channel switched over from Emmerdale Farm.

wheres this deal for £18 ?

Just to confirm, I am not or have ever been, an EE mobile customer. CS offered this in response to me asking if they'd price match Virgin's £9 5GB SIM only deal, no haggling whatsoever.

So, here is what I learnt from today's call with EE Customer care.. 15.99 deal is for someone who is currently in EE prepaid scheme. So, you can first switch to EE prepaid day 1 and on day 2 switch to this contract to get this deal. :) The agent also agreed if did So, they can't deny 15.99 deal. Hope this helps! how long was it before the TCB paid out?

Received my £95 reward card yesterday and blew it all in Tescos this afternoon.

also £55 TCB as well. on 15GB+ sim only deals I done this last year 20GB at £15 PCM and got £100 voucher + 80 TCB. so it cost me nothing for the 12 months. I also done this the year before but I made some money as the TCB offer was £90-100 (bit of a hassel this year as i had to change my number to another compnay (vodafone) wait 7 days then move it back to my new SIM on BT (as they would not move numbers from BT sim to BT sim. how i do it open TCB go to sim only deal, click on it wait for it to open the page. then past in the BT sim page (that shows the SIM deal and voucher) and processed with your order. it will not track in TCB but once i got my sim I then contact TCB and say it never tracked. and then wait for BT to check and accept TCB or reject it. have not had them reject it on 4 BT SIM deals (over 2 years) Edit should of said i moved both SIM to a family sim package that save £1-2 of a month. (cant remember the saving off the top of my head) also it is ready to move deals I found on 1 sim we had. we started with 3Gb then within the 1st move we moved to 12GB @ £15 then the same deal come back around 20GB @ £15 about 2-3 month later and moved the sim on to this deal. this did not change the contract length. not sure if you can do down in price. as never tried that.

Ive rang up a couple of times and they won't reduce the price. I could move now to EE and save a fiver a month. frustrating

BT charge £9.50pm for anytime calls to landlines and discounted calls to mobiles. Vodafone is much cheaper with £8pm for anytime calls to landlines & mobiles. Alternatively BT offer a discounted sim for £6pm with unlimited calls / texts & 0.5Gb. With a £40 reward card and £15 TCB this is about £2.95pm. Much cheaper but possibly more hassle. Update - As per the OP, BT offered anytime calls to landlines for £6.99pm during sign up.
