Be aware the price will be £13.99 as per price increase BT will not honor it at £12.99 im just in the middle of cancelling my contract

Got this last year and after a few months the price started to go up , even tho is was in a contract. Something to look out for. And when I rang up to cancel wasn't given any sort of retention offer

There was a price increase recently Groupon haven't updated it yet

BT have such a poor reputation though!

Bt often change their offers and drop the activation fee to £0.

Monthly charge plus upfront cost.

@Cheapochaser the total price over 18 months is £753.81

Very very confusing, £753.81 for what? For how long?

To be fair I think this was for existing customers who threatened to leave! I was paying as an existing customer about £33 a month for the package you’ve listed and after about 5 calls managed to get them down to £25.99 though my broadband speed was up to 70mb. There was also a deal recently for your package for new customers at £29.99 though this may well have ended. ( think Bt Sport was being offered for free as part of the deal

i never think of using quidco, think i used it a few years ago with currys etc

dont understand why the sky broadband deal for £25 went so hot , maybe im missing something as with this you get bt sports and a recording box

Currently on £33.49 with bt sport, with double cashback from BT (£125) and Quidco (£130).

19.99 for broadband fibre, bt sport andbyouview box ...?

They are virgin mugs paying them full price CEO laughing all the way to the bank rolling in new cars parked outside virgin headquarters.ahahah

Don’t know why more people who just have broadband are not doing the same..especially if you have been with them for years

Rochester, you play the hard way even emailing the CEO like your style. (highfive)

Which is expensive just for broadband

Brilliant thanks for the answer, i remember a year ago i saw in a showroom they had an offer for 18 pounds for internet but the showroom has closed since then and dont entertain paying 27 a month.

I guess I was lucky as I've had the opposite experience on this deal...ordered (via TCB and shows tracked) last Friday afternoon, update emails and texts from Affordable and EE and dispatched via DPD same day. Correct phone and SIM arrived at the specified time, perfect condition and all working great. Plenty of updates since and the phone looks and seems to be great :)

BE AWARE, you taking the deal from third party company. And then , from my experience, i get the wrong sim deal. The blame me, for mistaken. And when i start a cancellation process, it takes ages and ages . And the customer services is terrible. You can get any information needed. They always saying, wait for 48 hours. Or all cancellation process it could last 14 days. Then all refund due , again you need to wait other week. From my experience , it is awful company to have a deal with .

New link. Current one is asking for £47 upfront 👎

I was previously on a sim only plan with EE

SKY definitely getting BT sports after Christmas???!

Just done the deal via the link. It’s a 12 month contract No connection charge £13.99 a month and free hd for 3 months. Much better than dealing direct for £27.99 a month with £20-35 connection charge. The best bt could offer me direct was free for 3 months then 27.99 for the latter 9. Thanks for posting this (y)

I just used this url (22.9.18) to get Sport HD 12mths on Sky, no activation for £13.99pm. Nice one. Spoke to call centre last night and best they could do was £34.99pm 18mth + £20 activation.

No I have Fibre with BT, not broadband. When it ran out a month ago their offer was ridiculous. Like £12 per month then £6.50 for HD. With the offer it’s £6 for 18 months (3 months free HD) but I’ll just cancel the HD and live without it for a few weeks and add it back on for free for another 3 months. That’s usually the offer everytime I’ve had BT on Sky so hopefully that still works but if I need to pay £12.50 per month I’m actually ok with it.

I thought so too, but there is a virgin mobile 100gb data deal. This is good for people who travel as it allows 15gb abroad rather than 6gb.

Why is this cold? Seems like a decent deal to me.

Virgin speeds are throttled though no? Like all MVNOs?

Not even guaranteed the cashback as some networks like to decline it for no reason as for vouchers guaranteed by network.

Where is the bt t.v. on receipt. Looks like just by sport app access...£6...

Phoned up BT, the best they could do was my current deal (£35 inc line rentral), so I put through a move to plusnet and today i've renewed with BT for £21.99 + £3 BT Sport inc line rental and BT sport, which i've taken as its cheaper than the plus net deal I was moving to. Lesson learnt, always move provider to get a decent retention deal! Fair play to the OP for getting the deal you have got!

Seems to depend on who you get with EE, I had a similar negative experience last year... sometimes you get someone who's really not in the mood to get you a deal and will get a bit hard nosed about it and call your bluff about leaving etc, other times perhaps when they need to meet a retention target they'll "have a chat with the supervisor" (aka. mute the phone for a minute to make it look like they're doing something special just for you ;)) Liking this phone a lot and don't mind most of the Samsung "bloat", though I still ended up preferring the new Google Fit and uninstalling S Health, getting rid of the Bixby screen etc. As with others in the thread I don't like the trend towards that new tall form factor, it's annoying that apps always come up with that "full screen" option and often have bits cut off slightly at the edge of the screen if you use it etc. And the battery life is absolutely pants so I ended up getting a charging pad for my desk at work so it could make it through the day. But otherwise it's good and certainly worth the money at this deal price.

great deal, thanks OP

Fantastic deal thanks signed up to replace my wife’s ageing S6 was expecting to bag an S8 at this price, the S9 is a fantastic phone IMO I have enjoyed the camera on mine immensely. I paid a lot more than this for mine! Fab deal cheers. Heat.

hi deanos - Did you say anything in particular when getting your deal ? I'm out of contract and could not get anywhere near what you negotiated even after I said I want to pay no more than 21.99 as thats what others have been getting. Best I got was 25.99 on 38mb speed with an extra #3.50 for bt sport but not bt sport on sky (as she said that would be #17 extra) for 18mths. I tried twice but they wouldn't budge. Thanks.

Just signed up to plus net last night so need to prob get account number etc, how do use find plus net?

Usually if you are asking this question, then the 36mb is plenty ;) If you have several people wanting to watch videos and download large files at the same time (usually a family with teenagers), go for the 66mb. Or if you are very inpatient and download very large files (whole PC games / Windows) every so often, then you might still want the 66mb. If you browse the net, and want to download a movie occassionally, and sometimes you stream a movie or play a internet based PC game, then 36mb is plenty. If you don't care for the price difference, then go for the 66mb anyway, but it's overkill depending on your household situtation. I've had great experiences with PlusNet. Very helpful CS.

Magic - thank you all for your feedback. Think I'll go with them mainly for the BT sport package (and of course good speeds). Only Q now is - Which should speed should I sign up for - 36mb or 66mb? LOL

heat from me, not a terrible deal and reasonable if you wanted both things right now.

not sure if it is good or not so trying to quantify roughly. £33pm 24months £792. phone sim free say £250 playstation 4 say £250 probably some cashbacks around on those. £300 in for the contract £12.50pm that's quite cheap for a 10GB plan.

The 6 months apple streaming is good with EE as they include the data used to stream so your not killing your data blasting music all day. You just need to charge your phone 16 times a day if you listen to a lot.

Thanks for that. I appreciate it

BT Sport on Sky with BT Broadband - £4 month - usually £12.
Found 8th JulFound 8th Jul
Just seen and ordered this on BT's website. It's SD only (HD can be added for an £6.50 a month, free for 3 months). You also get access to the BT Sport app.

This has expired now

I agree with that, but I do find the app casted to my tele actually gives a very good picture, better than SD. That's why I refuse to pay for HD. To have it on my Sky box is handy if I need to record as a last resort.

But SD is pointless these days, to charge that much extra for HD in this day and age is ridiculous.

Ufc 226 was just on yesterday !!!

The £6.50pm for HD is ridiculous. Fortunately I get BT sport with my EE contract and I cast it to Chromecast. Winning.

Sorry mate. Just didnt get on HUKD for a long time. The RPI increase happens every March. For example if you buy a deal which is £45 but being sold as £20, the RPI increase of 2.5% will be about £1.125, instead of £0.50

If it helps anyone, the email address to talk to is: EE Claim IT-

Ordered the card via this link. I accidently added a second sim to the order, phoned EE to cancel that and confirm I'm still ok for the Amazon voucher. The voucher never arrived. EE then dealt with it and said it would be 5 days - I gave them benefit of the doubt and waited 9days. Received an email from them telling me I'm not eligigble for the Amazon Voucher because I didn't claim it within the correct period....and they want documentation to prove I ordered via HotukDeals. Slightly less than happy - I'd not have taken out the contract without this incentive.
