IF YOUR A PLUSNET CUSTOMER YOU CAN NOW SIGN UP FOR BT SPORT FOR £10 PER MONTH VIA THE PLUSNET ENTERTAINMENT
Rhydal

Plusnet is BT.

Legendkiller2k

Great for UFC, rally, WWE fans, Tennis.

Ivanmac11

I remember getting it for £2.50 per month by going via live chat. Looks like BT themselves have told plusnet that they can’t negotiate on the £10.

OBH6UK

Used to be £5 then went up to £10, so this is the standard Plusnet price.

blast71

Great for the ufc. Fight island soon and the fights are coming thick & fast.

BT Sport app is on Now Tv now & if get free with EE or BT mobile & can upgrade to "large screen" (£10month which aint too bad when consider can watch on two devices simultaineously) Some "essential" EE tariffs come with 3 months inc large screen (not free after obviously) but might be cheaper than direct from BT? I even upgraded to BT Ultimate 4k via EE for an extra £5 (on top of "large screen") which works on now tv's 4k smartbox. BT Sport also available on many other devices too inc console & chromecast

dbeach

now tv do simila deals (one just last week) but no committment & was for 3 months at £20 & could cancel whenever

Add another £5 if you want it in HD. No thx.

I can't really remember - I thought I got an email about it, but maybe I just logged on to check my bill and seen it there. It was very clear on the website

TheRoyalEnforcer

I just got bt sport last month for the ufc events, cancelled a few days later because only wanted a month.

JimDiGriz

I cancelled my Sky Sports as soon as the footy stopped and to be fair they cancelled it there and then - no one month wait. They also gave me BT sport for nothing so cant complain! Ill probably add Sky back on when footy starts.

mpw1

How did I not hear about this? A bit sly from BT to not communicate this with their customers (mad)

FatherTed

This never seems to work for me. I just get stuck on "Please wait, the form is being submitted" every time I've tried it.

I had this as well but am now looking again but not finding anything near this price i need to as no aerial and out of my 12 month deal

rhymnosauras

I'm on the phone to virgin now, their customer service is worse than Vodafone used to be!

Logjam

Virgin are utter garbage. I haven't had Internet in six months. Multiple engineer visits, takes days to actually speak to someone following any event as you have to use the garbage app or generic number for contact and explain the issue to five different people before getting to someone who can do something. And virgin media are outright lying scum, the tier one tech guy in India told me today I need to pay for a greater than 100mb package to get better than 600m/s latency because I use 500gb a month data The only solace is I'm not alone, just check their twitter or reviews online. Regulator should take their license.

SaleeB

yes another vote on this. It was down whole of yesterday evening and i ended up using my mobile data. Just off on a call from them and they said i cannot even come out of contract without disconnection fee as i’m locked until next Feb 2021. Their argument was that they’re solving the issues for customers within 3 days of time and so in their T&C we are not allowed for compensation or credits. No matter how repetitive the incidents are!!!! 😩 another dissatisfied customer. It was much better with slow internet speed when I was with sky rather not having internet at all with virgin. (annoyed)

Mentos

BTW, despite the clause saying you can't, its still worth trying to pause BT sport. Signed up on the deal two weeks ago and submitted the pause request and it still worked (got the £9.95 credit on first bill).

For the benefit of anyone else who's ordered. They switch happened seamlessly. New Equipment arrived yesterday, the day the old account was set to cancel. Switched boxes, phoned up their 03454541111 (from the mobile registered with them) and it asked me if I wanted to activate my equipment. Few minutes later it was all up and working. Only snag I had along the way was day I ordered they changed the delivery date +1 week. I called them and they switched it back. Now just hope Quidco pays out and its a result :D

Mentos

It's just occurred to me for next time. I could have referred my wife from my existing Virgin account, getting £50 each. And used one of their own codes, for example they have BRA5CB0 right now which gives you another £50. So that would have been £150, plus the bill credit. And no worries about quidco :( Amateur mistake, will go that route next year if I stick with them.

xenole

Would be nice if I could get a decent download rate. 2.6Mb/sec at present when it should be 4x that on my parents' 108 MB connection. I would never rely on cashback of this amount for things like this. Great if you get it, bummer if you don't. Would take a contract out and base monthly expenditure on it. The same with mobile phones. Sure my mother went to a VM shop in our shopping centre and got some bill credit or something that would have been about the same as cashback at the time. No more shops now though.

s87

yeh so on the application where it asks for a landline just put ur own existing number in and thyell do the whole port over from ur account to ur wifes. not sure about the cashback mate i would assume it would keeping ur number is nothing to do with cashback and ur eife is considered as a new customer

Mentos

So when you start the new contract you put in your old number to be transferred? Does the cash back still pay out?

Odd I can't see the expire button. This offer is over now.

SSGdeals

Has anyone had a fresh install in the last 2 weeks... been hearing virgin cancel last minute :(

Mentos

I'm guessing there was no cable run to the boundary of your property. I had the same issue, as my property was a repossession, all the services had been ripped out prior to my purchasing. The engineers that come to install don't deal with running the cable from the junction box to the property boundary. Theres a different team that do that. When my Engineer came to install and found the cable missing, he had to call them. Then came back after they'd run it to my boundary. I presume thats why you have had the first visit as well. They must have known there was no cable run to the boundary, so sent them out to do that in advance. The second engineer should be happy to run it however you want from there. But bare in mind they can't dig a new trench from the junction box. Wherever the underground ducting runs to in your boundary, thats where the run will have to start from.

Fingers crossed

Redking

with German football returning I'm assuming they'll start charging again from Saturday, has anyone seen anything from them to confirm this? Don't fancy paying £30 a month for German football

jonno.wilson

I'm really annoyed with this. I got a confirmation from them when I originally applied for the "credit", saying "It’s a goodwill gesture and we’ll extend this automatically if there’s no live sport on in June.". So silly to trust that they'll automatically extend it. They've taken £36.99 out of my account today for the month of May.

Will do that next...year now

roadie

Basically I called within first 14 days and told them I'd like to cancel as its too expensive..so he added an extra 5GB as I have broadband with BT. He then said I can add £60 credit if u stay. However the adviser didn't apply the £60 credit for a month so I called back and the adviser added an extra £10 for the inconvenience. I went via tcb so my cash back became payable this week too. My headphones arrived last week.

xPabloz

How did you get the £70 credit?

roadie

I get 25 GB extra speed for 15 per month- then got £70 credit. £75 via tcb and some JBL headphones. So 110-75+the headphones and BT sport.

Cheapasnowt

Yes- I have managed this for several months with no issue on the PS. Just need to get the BT sport app and the first time put your log in details in and away you go.

Can't argue with that. Luckily I've never had Face ID problems at night with my 11, if I did then I wouldn't like it either.

shef0072

I have had the iPhone 11 which is too big, iPhone X and XS and I always go back to my iPhone 8 in which I’m using I’m hesitant to move onto the Huawei in which the Touch ID is better. I find Face ID doesn’t work at night properly when lights are off and i do most of my banking I’m pants at remembering passwords lol. I like the UI but if it had a built in Touch ID I would buy it, let’s c how apple react to the market

uczmeg

Is that based on using Face ID, or just you think you prefer Touch ID? It's just I thought that, and turns out I was crazy! And the ability to swipe between apps you have due to no home button is something I couldn't live without now. (OK, I wouldn't like to live without, I'd probably survive!)

Theyve made a deal that SKY can offer BT Sport and BT can offer the full NOWTV range but you pay either BT or SKY direct rather than having two seperate subscriptions.

stingersplash

It does but it doesn't have what I want. I was hopeful Sky would maybe do a deal to add it for 10 quid and maybe BT customers could get the same for Sky. I want to give them money but it has to be reasonable.

azda81

Think about it. How can SKY offer BT Sport cheaper than BT themselves. If they do they will increase other packages to make up for it. If they havent already, 22 quid for the standard entertainment pack at full price? Even at a discounted price Netflix highest package in comparison offers way more.

stingersplash

Will they? It was meant to be in the summer. I want BT Sports for WWE and the CL Knockout stuff. If that deal is coming it needs to be soon.
