Well, I know who Philip Bloom is, but the others ...

manedwolf

It's funny how good quality analogue video never looked like the output from these filters - the only way to get it like this would be to use a tape that had been recorded over several times, in a beat up/low quality camcorder, then play back the result in a low end tape player XD Bit like the "old film" filters that make everything blurry, scratched and sepia toned - only really badly stored/handled film ended up like that!

mrner01

Well in that case !!! (annoyed) (lol)

AgeOfExcuse

But this app has been "used by Kendall Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, Victoria Beckham, Wiz Khalifa, BTS, Die Antwoord, Philip Bloom". Whoever they are (lol) (lol) .

Yep, I use VHS 1984 which is a relatively good way to explain to people of the impact on vision can be like after some detached retinas

No import costs with this?

MugenPower

It maybe dependant on which third party brand you go for and which firmware the camera is using. Indicated on this thread Duracell and Ravpower have no issue based on their experiences. And yet on the following forum, examples of battery % indicator problems with another brand of battery: dpreview.com/forums/thread/4329103 It is expensive for a battery I agree, but someone just might prefer using the official battery which usually retails for £65. I’d say the OP has saved someone £9 or so if they were going to buy it anyway.

jazzuk777

See the other comments on here about third party batteries, people don't seem to be having an issue. I understand what you mean, but it's not a deal when it's paying so much over the odds in my opinion, and so cold is the best way of indicating that.

Alin_Stinga

I used Duracell same model. £20. Never felt the difference 8)

MugenPower

Bit harsh to be voting cold because you don’t like a companies practices. Its not the fault of the OP. For an official battery this is a good price to pay. Also not all third party batteries perform the same either or give the same experience on Sony cameras and some of its firmware e.g. they sometimes give warnings before/during shots, which is annoying as its something you need to acknowledge before being able to carry on with shooting.

Arrived today - literally brand new in box sealed. Cheers.

Is DSLR not overheating or something?

Mastr_Khan

Think of it as an adapter for a camera. Most webcams are terrible. But with this, you can use a regular camera/ DSLR as a webcam. Good for those who live stream or do Zoom/ Team meetings often.

Thats not what this is for. This is for inputing an clean HDMI output from a DSLR or Mirrorless Cam (or something like a Go Pro) You should be using something like the HD60s as that will also pass through the Audio.

PandaGod

No worries if it's noticeable it's gonna be pretty high and not useable

LukasBB

very noticeable. not sure how many ms exactly as I haven't measured it but it's pretty much unusable for playing games but for using with a dslr it's great. if you really want to know I can test it later once I come back from work and give you a more accurate number

PandaGod

How is the lag on these aka playing games from the obs output? I know u can get the pass through ones but that's not what I'm looking for

Got one 5 years ago and video quality is very bad under water

sparklehedgehog

Yeah but they are at least modernised and higher quality than 1948 yet these aren't any better than they were when they came out. There are better cheaper alternatives out there than these

19DembaBa19

This looks like it came out in year 2000, because I remember buying one of these for £2-300 so it's worth the price but too much new technology has come out now. I really want a camcorder to record all the kids and family with something that isn't a mobile phone

spannerzone

I'm guessing you weren't around then? :D We would have killed for this in 1995....and in 2005.
