If i want my baby wetter i dunk them in a bath (cheeky) .. Joking aside everyone has different preferences but even in this thread they are highly rated. although award winners they may not be to everyones taste. For example we have a friend that only uses waterwipes. But don’t even get me started on that (highfive)

Plastic wipes - never heard of a thing like that? :/

deathwishdave

Are these plastic?

Quiffco

If you're talking about the talc and cancer link, then that's a little harsh; either talc is cancer-causing, in which case that's a problem with the whole talc industry, not just J+J, or it's asbestos contamination of the talc J+J are supplied with, which is more the fault of their supplier than J+J? I don't see what that has to do with baby wipes unless they're adding talc to them, in which case it's just as likely other companies would be and therefore would be just as risky? I'm a regular talc user (not J+J branded), so I've been following this link but I wouldn't say J+J were any worse than other companies?

SimyJo

Are they flushable?. I only buy the biodegradable ones that you can flush one at a time. Pros: I need to clean my furry bum - Cons: I don't want to cause fatbergs and contribute to the global ecological balance being destroyed through said bum-wiping.

Yes they will be getting them in for the sale. My local has had some of the items in for a few months.

vicstar115

Thanks, was just checking it was definitely meant to be happening. My mum spoke to a staff member in a local store who said they only got the products in last week so she was surprised they would be reduced so soon. Will keep an eye out tho

Caroline_1993

It was meant to go to £1 on monday i seen confirmation of this of this off a manager. He had the printout in his hand ticking what stock they had as i bought the wipes. Im not responsible for poundland changing or delaying any price launch. As you can see from a previous deal they delayed a persil launch for a few days. Keep checking as they are going down in price

There is also 10% off baby when you spend more than £5 if you have a health and beautycard, so you'd get 4 of these for £5.33, and triple loyalty points at the moment. Sadly, the Top to Toe wash is OOS at the moment (although they do regularly restock) but there are lots of other baby wash products in the half price promo :)

Wow, we got given this set when our first was born. The contents weren't that memorable but the actual little bag and changing mat we've used for our "in house" changing bag for the last 3 years on 2 kids and its still going strong... (strong)

Not sure if national but... there were loads left on the shelf, I only bought 2, these were on promo and not reduced/clearance in store so I think that the asda baby event is nationwide and these are part of it???

Aveeno Baby Emollient Cream - £5.56 (Prime) £9.55 (Non Prime) @ Amazon

This is for the baby emollient. Usually £8.50, last time I posted when it was £6.37. Checking on Camelcamelcamel, this is usually the lowest price offered.
Slackuro

Not sure why all the cold votes when this is the cheapest for this product. Everyone seems to get mixed up with the normal baby variant and not the emollient one which is more moisturising for dry skin. Although Waitrose is pricematching https://www.waitrose.com/ecom/products/aveeno-baby-emollient-cream/487381-583364-583365

Slackuro

Are you sure its the same? This is emollient, not the normal one. Asda is displaying it as £7 https://groceries.asda.com/product/baby-skincare/aveeno-baby-soothing-relief-baby-emollient-cream/910002967258

The absolute nerve of J&J to use "ocean protection" as an excuse to downgrade the materials and charge the same money. Cos we all throw our cotton buds in the ocean first thing in the morning from our bedrooms and bathrooms do't we?

fattyflumpalump

Really torn about the new paper ones, I understand why it's just they are rubbish now and bend so pretty useless

asters

I bought from Amazon 6 for £3 less 5% for S&S. Not worth any more now they are paper and weak. Certainly not worth 90p.

djdave2929

The sneaky penny pinching mugs now make them in paper not plastic. Took away the edge of it being the best cotton bud. Now, it falls into the budget category, like all the others.

Heat added but have to agree with previous comments. They have replaced the blue plastic with a white paper stick. Very good they have replaced them as obviously there are a load of incredibly dumb people in this world that cannot discard of them properly and the world cannot cope with that much plastic if they did anyway. However, I wish they would have come up with somthing slightly better than the paper option........but maybe there just isn't. Maybe somebody needs to design one where you can keep the stick thing and replace the bud only! 😁

muf

Too many cotton buds are ending up in oceans. Other brands now have strong card bud stems, hopefully Johnson will improve theirs soon (without reverting back to plastic).

gill71

They're bendy and baggy now.. heat added though x

petethemeat76

I complained to J&J about the new ones being so bendy & they replied that they did it 'cause dopey folks kept flushing the blue plastic ones down the toilet so they switched to white paper ones rendering them totally useless in my opinion.

dasachmo

Those new white flimsy ones are a joke! They bend with the lightest pressure!

Lord have mercy on you

jessweasley

Johnstons have changed from plastic to paper to help combat this. I do agree though, but it's how people dispose of them which is the main problem (grrrr)

mcek

I've always hated the plastic content of these and only buy the paper versions. In the old days they were made of paper anyway, people get used to plastic so easily. And don't get me started on the environmental costs of disposable nappies, fatbergs, and micro plastics in toothpaste and cosmetics. And don't Johnson's still do animal experiments, baby shampoo in rabbit eyes etc?

ilyLFC

the news one are rubbish will they ever bring back the blue stick ones
