All Baby Monitor Discounts, Offers and Sale - August 2018
My 2 year old has the slightly more expensive AC1100 model. Couldn't live without it and I have complete peace of mind, had a few problems at start but I was using the wrong settings, once tweaked its flawless. Got another baby coming in November and will use and trust Angelcare again.
We had the AC401 with motion sensor. Brought more peace of mind than any camera or microphone ever could. It was very sensitive and worked flawlessly. As long as we didn’t forget to pause it :p
We dropped our handset on the floor and the screen was damaged... complained to them about the frailty of the item (it wasn't a bad drop by any means) and the best they offered was to replace it for about £40 (I should add we had the top of the range model at the time) so not great but was happy to pay it for the peace of mind it brings. Got woken up to the alarm going off a few times in the first few months so consider it a bargain whatever the cost.
We had an angel are sensor monitor for our little ones. It worked perfectly for 3 kids. Even survived my 18 month old putting the handset down the toilet. Excellent bit of kit.
I been using on main.
Great item but batt life becomes poor after 6-12 months.
This is a good monitor. Pricewise, advertised usually at about £120, you can find it most of the time now at about 80-90.
Not sure about the price but bougjt this for about £130 few years ago. They are brilliant .never had problem. I have this item for about 7 years
Asda and Aldi always seem to have good promotions! Hear from me
Thanks (nerd) just bought a couple items
I just bought a 720p yi cam for less than half the price and it does everything this does (plus PTZ) except you need to use your phone or a computer. Works very well. Not really what you asked I know, but food for thought.
What are these like any good ?
We’ve had an older Angelcare monitor albeit without the Video function and it has served us very well. We tried quite a few beforehand and found none to be anywhere near as good. Have a separate camera already or I’d be quite tempted. Can highly recommend Angelcare based on the model we’ve had (highfive)
We’ve got the version with the mat and has been good with our first. Now being used for our second. Only negative is battery life isn’t great. Not a major issue for us as it mostly sits on charger next to sofa, but maybe an issue if you need to carry it around
For the money it looks very good. Well worth £40 for something that is usually double the price for a baseline model (y) 🏼 (y) 🏼
I've got this very model and we love it. Just make sure not to leave the screen on as it will hammer through the battery.
I've just been in and had a look...its MBP481 but doesn't seem to have great reviews.
Any idea of the model number? Im on the lookout for one but seem to be so many different Motorola models.
Thanks for sharing, @KevinLonghurst - good find and first deal :D
I disagree. But if you want to buy one then you should.

A must buy for any parent
I do have it myself. It depends what you're looking for. This sits in my kitchen allowing me to check in the cat. I also have a canary which sits in the dining room and sends notifications etc. It's a much better piece of kit but again it depends how you want to use it. The Samsung app is rubbish but they outsourced!
I take it you wouldn't recommend this then? Any other suggestions?
The camera is impressive. The android app is shocking!
Don’t bother. Had it a year and it’s the biggest pile of (poo) Can never get it to connect.
Had this, thought it was terrible. Bought a couple of IP cameras and the difference is colossal, and far cheaper
Got this before + my staff discount. Cheers op
Expired now unfortunately
Great price. Cheapest it ever was on Amazon as well according to 🐫.
So it there a place to hook the base onto? Don't suppose you could attach a picture of your setup? I was thinking of getting a tripod and mounting on there, or using those sticky things you get for hanging pictures, really don't want to drill into the wall if possible.
We have one and it is very good, no problems at all over the last 3 months. The picture isn't as clear as ideally would like given you can buy HD quality security cameras for a similiar price but size of image and the pan and tilt options are very good. It can be wall mounted but controls dont change orientation as it can be hung at different angles. We actually just use a picture hook and it stays in place really well.
I read that this is wall mountable. If I mount the unit on the wall does the camera controls change orientation? So pressing the up button would actually now be left as it's mounted on the wall?
Yes I have it and it’s pretty good. Paid £93 new from Amazon nearly a year ago. Picture quality is good, has a 2 way talk function, don’t bother with the music on it as it’s very tinny sounding
I have the AC1120 but that has AAA batteries which you can add your own. I thought this would be better but due to the fact you have to use their batteries I think I might be better off with the one I have.
Seems a great price. But reading reviews across loads of websites, the reviews aren't great. The battery seems to be a massive issue, Lots of people having the devices replaced after 3 months.
Thanks OP. Anybody know if this takes AAA batteries for the unit you hold? I've seen some bad reviews but assuming you can fix by getting decent AAA rechargeable batteries.
Standard feature. Mine is the same
Got mine, all setup and so far so good however I have some strange issue on the screen. I've taken the protective film off but there are three distinct squares on the screen. I tried rubbing the screen but the blocks are not on the screen. Not sure if I have a faulty unit. Once the screen is on you can't see these blocks, only at extreme angles or when the screen is off. Anybody else got this issue?
@HutchAW good deal 8) 8) 8) Argos have the same @ £114.99 http://www.argos.co.uk/product/2145028?CMPID=BPLA01&_$ja=tsid:72553|acid:38002085|cid:273131720|agid:1189671618882128|tid:pla-4577954101355638:aud-805836077|crid:74354481656999|nw:search|dvc:t|st:cheapest anglecare 1120 video|mt:be|loc:&cmpid=BPLA01&msclkid=2a33b08eafdd1da795f9eb9b9377a020&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Nursery||Med&utm_term=4577954101355638&utm_content=Nursery||Safety
I did yes, plenty of choice out there, just make sure it has IR for night vision, change password credentials etc
Do you use that in combination with a wifi camera?
No Matter how much you tighten or loosen it in a Corsa and a Suzuki xcross. It doesn't stay in place. Seems to slide upwards.
Agree. Brought the royal one too. So much better.
Full price in Ferring store.
Find it online. Once again, minimum £25 spend. Good deal but can't spend £25 just to get the mirror!
We have one in our 2014 Yaris & one in our 2015 Qashqai and both fit perfectly and are both very different sized cars.
Found the Dream machine very useful considering its FREE. No issue with the App so far. It updated the firmware at installation. Hope the mentioned software issues are resolved. Let's see.
Ordered one as been looking for a baby monitor for ages. Had a great experience with Motorola previously. Guess dream machine can be used as night light, considering not good comments about it so far.
Only as a night light/soother but the software if horrendous. It doesn't recognise that it's even online half the time and I have to restart it. There are only 3 picture scenes available which are rather boring and I can't findmore to buy. I have tried the monitor aspect and I wouldn't rely on it! Have a read of the reviews on Amazon and also on the Play Store (for the app). It's that bad that after 3 months that I have returned it to Amazon as it really isn't fit for purpose. The reason I mention it is that I wouldn't want people to buy the monitor purely because they get the Dream Machine with it.
@Bovrilontoast do you use dream machine as monitor or just as night light/soother?
good deal thanks
Baby monitors are a little bit flawed because it tells you when your baby is unconscious. I was dumb enough to buy this set anyway. I must say i cant see the benefit
Has anyone got one of these, I have an ac401 and used a WiFi camera as well. The camera I found to be very unreliable and hard work so was thinking of getting this instead. Any opinions or experience would be great please.
Earlier thread is Amazon and this one if from John Lewis so we wouldn't class it as a duplicayte (y)
Looks good, but very bad battery life. I had it for not even a month and camera couldn't hold its charge. John Lewis gave me full refund luckily!
Yeah these seem to be really hit and miss. We’ve got this model and have had no problems with it in the 7+months we’ve been using it so far. The pictures good, the range is good (babies room is at the front of the house and ours still gets signal at the back of the garden 120ft away) and we’ve had no battery problems. The only thing that is a bit annoying is that whenever you press the button to turn the screen on in the night it does beep. But looking at some of the reviews since we bought it there’s definitely been some issues people have had, on the battery side of things the charge cable has to face a certain way but could be being jammed in the wrong way round by some users as the port shape isn’t defined enough possibly? 🤞ours continues to work fine
Nice price but terrible reviews
