Belkin Boost Up QI Wireless Charging Pad for iPhone / Samsung - £9.99 Prime / 14.48 Non Prime @ Amazon
Found 7th DecFound 7th Dec
Belkin Boost Up QI Wireless Charging Pad Amazon lightning deal expires in 5 hours. Previously really hot on here at £14.99

You're talking 1amp vs 1.5amps between 5w and 7.5w..I've been using 2,4a charger (but prob pulling 2.1) for last 2 1/2 years on iphone6+...still going strong

im sure your £1k phone is smart enough to know how much power is required to charge its own battery, iPhones support 7.5w and android phones support 10w plus with the new 3.0 smart charging tech the phones are in good hands

Slow charge is better for your battery tho, so I'm tempted..ive just spent a grand (two years) on a Phone, last thing I want to do is degrade the battery.

Not really, the charger will out live the phone

Thanks, I'm going for this :) Reviews for this charger here

Cheaper on Ebay £0.93 if you buy 5+

Cheaper on eBay, £1.07 if you buy a few.

I use all 3 cables. I found cat7 to be better in data transfer. My house can only get 220. Close to 28-30 MB per second. Different experience for me

Nonsense. Max Virgin speed is 350 Mbit (Megabit). This cable provide max speed 1000 Mbit (Megabit).

It's still £9.99 you have to select lightening deal, it then reduces in price

Wasn't this post for when it was £9.99 on a lightning deal which was a great price- surely it should of been expired when that deal ended instead of just updating it to the new more expensive price of £14.99? It means later people viewing this will see our posts of how great the price is and then they buy it for 5 quid more without even realising? :/

Sorry mate not sure what went wrong. This should work. You may also need to purchase a fast charge plug ..but reviewers state it is not essential as it does the business with just the charge cable provided. Best Regards,

I got the charger below for £4.99, it charges through my case and 2 credit cards. Wireless Charger, Yootech Qi Certified Wireless Charging Pad Compatible iPhone XS ...

That's a pretty shocking deal for a power bank.

It's annoying that Belkin changed these so the two rows of sockets are no longer offset, plus they removed the two sockets that could rotate to fit larger power blocks.

The £4 Wilko Extension Lead with USB 1m 6 Gang White lead deal is still active if folks are feeling thrifty

£18 for an extention cable that diesn’t even have individual switches..not a good deal imo.

just a heads up, the plug distances are tight and face each other, really struggle to get anything but a normal plug in them, chargers and moulded plugs cover the other sockets. Fine if just using 8 kettle leads but I find more and more that every piece of equipment has a different sized moulded plug

Cheaper with switches available from CPC .

Quick update, manage to get my warranty replacement for the item, took 40 minutes on the phone but at least the shipping is free so not bad, just hope the new unit will fare better.

Big, bulky can’t attach to wall, it kept tripping my RCD when daughter attached 1000 Watt small room heater. It’s ok for light use.

Care to elaborate? I've found mine perfectly fit for use over the past year.

Spent £27 on this a week ago. Dammit.

The main cord is 2m, not short or long, and the length is not a hidden feature. It becomes long or short based on user needs. You're describing something that does not suit your needs as a flaw. Anyways, no one thing is perfect, things break even from new ( there's warranty for that) and your particular individual experience with it definitely does not describe the product. Not saying that they're great, don't have one, and I can't mass test the product.

Whatever dude, I've worked as a chemist for the last 15 years, I also have a PhD; not that it gives any gravity to what I say

How on earth has this gained heat?!?! It's 5W... That's not even fast charging. I wouldn't want it if it was free tbh.

Wireless charging is pointless got new huwai one 15w for my mate 20 pro always end up just unplugging it and putting cable in as it charges at 40w.

Li-ion battery degradation can be caused by many things and may happen simultaneously. But generally, keeping the battery in a relatively cold place (10-15) C and avoid absolute high and low SoC , avoid High Charge rate , will prolong the battery life . Some people say that modern Battery Management System has circuits in place to avoid overcharging . I agree but they prevent overcharging using physical electronic components such as dissipating resistance which they increase the losses over time also because the dissipated power is I^2 * R .

this won't be helpful for that anyways as it's just USB 2.0 and not the 3.0 necessary to charge

Gutted. I've been after this length for a while, so I can charge my Computer with my powerbank at a table on the train without loads of trailing cable. Nearest is 50 miles away.

Good for charging but not much else

USB C connectors on a USB 2.0 cable, seems kinda pointless but useful if you just need a USB C compatible cable

It's USB 2.0 standard which is now 18yrs old! USB 3.0 is ten times the transfer speed, hence why they've reduced this I'm guessing.

Been looking for a router for a while and this one showed up for only £25. These routers normally cost about £100

Sorry my bad

i have same vm package, i can honestly say the belkin router is working better than expected. Your router maybe in a crowed signal area (change channels) or you using the wrong kind of cat cable, also alot of wifi devies dont go above 120 at most

you forgot the postage also

Received it today. Very impressed (going in with very low expectation). :) Wifi speed went from 30MB to about 73MB (out of 76). Now I have 3 APs (5Ghz, 2.4Ghz, and Guest). Will put Alexa onto 2.4, everything else needing speed onto 5Ghz.

Ah, I had this router and it was not all that. It functions as a wired router pretty well, but for wireless it kinds sucks and the usb port on it is pretty useless. It can only handle 500 or 5000 files (cant remember exactly its been a year since i used it) but it would always crash every time that i treid to load something from a drive.

Interestingly yodal tried to deliver today. Couldn't find the address as usual. (lol) Hope to get it tomorrow.

Maybe, I was under the impression that powerline adapters don't work well across different rings but apparently they actually do! I'll pick up some powerline adapters, thank you for prompting me to take another look at them.

Wouldn't powerline be better for that than wifi (unless you have electrically noisy mains appliances, which could degrade performance), such as the gigabit ones posted earlier (unfortunately only one port and no wifi AP)

Ravpower is a good make. I have QI and cables and have lasted a long time. My rav QI does not get hot. Just because it's made in china, doesn't mean its cheap crap. Labour is next to nothing over there. That's why stuff is cheaper

I find the wireless charging mats handy:- - When at work it sits by my laptop, topping up. I can pickup check something and put it right back. Alternatively easily grab and nip to a meeting. - By the bed. As I use a case the charge cable doesn’t always engage fully. A mat I can lay it down, see the light come in and leave it. -When my kids decide to pick it up, normally to wind me up. There is no risk of damaged cable ports.

Yep, I worked out that by the time you spent £25 or so on the RavPower + Quick charger you might as well get this higher rated one for just a few quid more. Yet the RavPower went over 900 degrees yesterday and this got cold. HUKD is strange sometimes

I normally go for the cheaper brands on amazo and decided to take the plunge on this one having tried it in the apple stores. I have the Anker and the ravpower ones with their recommended chargers but are not as good. The phone heats up when using them as opposed to the Belkin and they would sometimes stop charging randomly which is very frustrating

These are 5W and 7.5W

If you're leaving it overnight then the fast chargers are overkill, a basic £6-10 will do what you want.

Belkin N300 WiFi Range Extender - £14.99 @ Argos / eBay (free C&C)

Not a bad price for this Belkin Wi-fi extender. Usual Argos free collection and guarantee. Also available direct from Argos site:
Get dealGet deal

Good deal. Bought one of these yesterday as our existing Netgear N300 extender was getting a bit flaky. The Belkin is much better for the simple reason that it extends the existing network using the same SSID, rather than creating a new SSID that you have to switch back and forth to (this is how the Netgear worked).

Extenders kill internet speeds. Between to use 2 routers.

I bought one of these while I was on holiday last year. The advert for the place where I was staying mentioned WiFi but in practice it was 'leakage' from next door and the signal was zero in half the house. I put one of these in a socket in a place with a signal and it filled the house with no problem.

Personally love my one of these, had a constant 1 bar in one corner of the extension upstairs, plugged in to outlet at opposite corner closer to router, now get constant 3 bar and never have any issues, would reccomend

Had one of those and it was crap. Would constantly disconnect and slow down the speeds to a crawl.

10 amps !!! Wrong unit. You mean 10 watts.

7.5 is Apple’s fast charging capability, whereas the majority of Android is 10Amps

Aren't the fast chargers minimum 10W ie 5V 2Amp, if so this can't be a fast charger just half way between normal 1A and fast 2A+ at very very expensive price.

Also, no band 20 and I'm sure, plenty of other things to complain that they "don't" have, but no one would expect it to have! (If you follow the phone threads on here you'll know exactly what I mean ;)) For the product, it's purpose and price - heat from me!

That's normal operation. They contain a MOV that slowly burns out as it absorbs the little surges. They can either take one big surge or lots of little ones. Chances are yours took too many small hits.

Got this before, £8 I think from memory. Claims 2.4v shared but even with one device I'd say it's falls a bit short. Haven't tested it though With that in mind, useful at work where we have a limited number of plugs if you're not using a hotdesk and just in a breakout area

I bought an Eveready 2 socket plug with dual USB input from B&M for £8.99 (surge protected too). Might be worth checking out your local stores.

I'd like to know that it's £2 anywhere other than Sainsbury's Heaton park before I make the trip to donate to charity.

It's £2. Does what you need. You also give a home to an orphan.

If your tv had an internet connection, any wired device connected to it (console, sky box, blu-ray) could receive it too without a need for its own connection to your router. THATS THE THEORY However none of the hardware manufacturers adopted it’s potential (I think the terminology is Orphaned Tech). So it’s likely the only thing you havethat’s HDMI Ethernet capable, is the cable itself.

but one end goes into a display... i honestly cant see this being useful

Any device needing an HDMI cable can use HDMI with Ethernet cable as it is fully backwards compatible. This cable feature allows your internet-ready entertainment devices, from gaming consoles to Blu-ray Disc players and more, to share an internet connection without any need for a separate Ethernet cable.
