Any atgos ebay voucher codes in general? They have some nice things I want to get :D
Out of stock
Thank you, I contacted them to cancel my order :( Will check the link out, cheers!
Not a silly question. S8 & Note 8 use USB-C so this cable wont work. I’ve also used the cables from www.crctech.co.uk and i was happy the cables are good quality as well.
Sorry if this is a silly question but would this work with an s8 and note 8?
also arrived today, and a little disappointingly it's the lower mixit line product, which even on the back of the packaging clearly states usb 2.0 speed, not happy about argos using the wrong picture and not making it clearer on the description. but for charging phones it's still ok (but more and more phones are now wireless charging, so was hoping to use as data cable but usb2.0 will restrict it somewhat), and the limit of 3amp may also limit its ability to charge laptops, so just not very futureproof that's all, but for the price it's ok I suppose.
Thanks OP , arrived today. It's USB IF certified so now I wish i purchased another.
In your earhole......
Not had great experience with Belkin products like routers and power strip. Not sure if cabling is reliable, if only usb2 only then no use for me. Not voting
£2.84 for the 5m
Thanks (y) (y)
And it's back......for now
Just got the last one OOS Stock now
back, only 4 left
Can get 2m micro usb cables for £1.99 from Here if you need longer than 1.2m delivery free too (y) Must use code tryus which they gave me before knocking a quid off. Got 2 pink ones which is an electric hot pink nice colour
I used belkin platinum range of surge protectors and they failed twice damaging equipment then they dodged the warranty and claim for damaged equipment! Zero trust for the brand since
The BSF102af are £5.99 on Amazon but no USB if anyone needs it.
Its not free mate and its an open box product - unless there is a code or something making it free?
How’s this free? Incorrect
Do you have a link to one that also offers surge protection please?
I think people have lost concept of value or board sitting at home clicking on 'add heat' :/
I'm amazed at the comments and heat. A £20 extension lead. Can get a better one for a tenner
Got one here. No complaints
I have this and it is crap. Plugs are too close so you can never use all of them. Also the USB sockets have fallen in to the housing so now they are rendered useless unless I take it apart. Have had it about a year or two. There are much better variants at similar or lower cost.
Typical overpriced apple stuff. An android wireless charger costs 1/5th of this. Yet people still happy to pay it? Why?
There is one that does wireless charging too. It’s £99.99 at the moment I think down from £129.99.
I had one of those and the power supply died almost before the two year warranty was up. Thankfully Amazon gave a refund which no questions asked, but while it did work it was a great piece of kit. The only thing I wished it did was wireless charging for the phone as well.
Nice. Looks smart. Heat (y)
Good price, but so long as people know these wear out over time - ignore whatever the LED might tell you! Easier to replace an in-line unit like this over an extension.
I read it as 'sugar cube' - think the cabin fever is kicking in
Thanks! Yes, they do. Was hoping to be under £10, otherwise for £10-15 there are other several decent brands available...The reduction they have is pretty much the standard price, the RRP is too high. Not bad, but was looking for a bargain.
the USB versions of extensions have some reduction on them not sure if it's a good reduction or not thou.
Voted hot, I wish the extension cables were on sale, I need one.
I ordered four of these a fortnight ago and they shipped as three separate packages delivered over two days. I can't imagine they made enough to even cover the pickers time, let alone transporting them across the Irish Sea, sorting them at my local depot, the diesel for two trips and the driver's time. It made me conscious of how incredibly wasteful it was to the point I almost felt guilty! I needed 4 short cables for a switch in my media cabinet and these were the cheapest I could find for the length I needed...
Nice snake esk photo!
Or the socket is 1 meter away from Roku box
this one is 80p https://www.amazon.co.uk/StarTech-com-Yellow-Cat5e-Snagless-Patch/dp/B00UFQJWLM/
No problem mate, keep an eye you never know, it may go back down.
Haha was a good spot, thanks anyways!
Noooo I was gonna head to John Lewis today!!
;( ;( ;( I can confirm as well the price is back up
what is CPC please?
I actually have this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01566MGEK/ Surge energy rating - 2.690 Joule
Then purchase the belkin for peace of mind
I am happy for you. But a surge protector that cannot tell you what its surge absorption capacity is makes no sense to me.
Well 5yrs running & not one problem..each to there own which product they pick
Does anyone have the barcode please
£20 in Cardiff still
Just checked in Tesco Yate and they’re still scanning at £20
Our just buy a similar 5W Qi charger from IKEA for £4.50 https://ingka.page.link/VPv3QGHGtTe2bbmf8
Just checked a London Superstore, still full price. Must be on a store-by-store basis.
Just checked now at rugby store and it's still £16
It’s still 16 in other stores
Always wished I got one of these when I go away for the weekend in London . Handy to have
Dont know the features but fast charges my S9 the same speed as the official plug
Does it support above 2A at 5V?
https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/livboj-wireless-charger-black-90465245/ or you wanted meatballs?
I think you made a mistake on the price, you havent included the compulsary meatballs (excited) I dont suppose you have any photos of one or a link please :-)
It's 5W only, still not bad price
£20 in Braintree. Not national
£20 in Ashby for charger and £16 power bank not national then, thanks for wasted time (mad)
why would anyone buy a single usb socket charger, its 2020! who doesnt already have a few of these knocking around spare already from old phones/tablets/etc? spend a few quid extra and get a 5 port one instead
Cold from me, there are plenty of equivalent (or better) spec chargers for cheaper - i.e. Anker powerport mini (£7.20 on amazon), and even some much better specced chargers for the same price i.e. tecknet 3 port 30W charger (2 x USB A, 1x 18W USB-C PD).
Is this any good? I used the one from ikea but not very happy - cheap but very flimsy
Cold for the power and price. 4 quid from IKEA
I personally have two of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/mophie-4118_WRLS-CHGPAD-AC-BLK-UK-Wireless-Charging-Version-Black/dp/B075TC3385 little beauties
Looking for 20w with no luck
Terribly slow. Go for 15w nowadays
@Crossbow cheers some very valuable info in second link.
Yes, should be fine for that I reckon (I did a bit of research in the past when I needed one). This one comes with a few more related bits included for a little extra: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/352249464565 Recommended to read the full description of this one first, so you know exactly what you're getting into with one of these: (i.e. not plug & play): https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/292258313711 Edit: sorry, posted before refreshing the page
@Crossbow Had a read on eBay for some of reviews, not for faint hearted, but cheers for find. Heat added to you comment (highfive)
Many Thanks, you seems to have a good understanding. All I am looking for is to add VPN, got TPlink to sort out the range etc. Guess OpenWrt is the best option to configure VPN, and all household devices will be sorted.
A LEDE OpenWrt flashed, pre-tweaked one from eBay for under £20 could be more than good enough for your needs - here's an example: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163989609886 - before purchasing, message the seller to clear any doubts & confirm it has the features you're looking for. Plenty more similar ones on eBay for similar money.
I have this it’s pretty robust!! However agree that large plugs block the other sockets. I’ve lost access to 1 of them due to this, luckily I only needed 7 sockets!
Purchased this a couple of weeks ago. I found the same. The older 6 socket belkin had twistable sockets at the end which allowed at least a couple to be larger plugs. Was disappointed with this for that reason. T
Have not looked into it, but I would have though a whole home surge protection device would be better for that sort of application, although maybe worth having the belkin as well, just for the insurance. https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Main_Index/Distribution_and_Switchgear_Index/Surge_Protection/index.html#WYREC2SPD MK now do wall sockets with replaceable surge protection cartridges, although I'm not sure if they do a fully flush version.
Are surge protectors necessary these days?
While this is true what else could they do but make it really long or an odd shape.
