Childrens Red Inflatable Jet Ski Rider Ride On Swimming Pool Kids Fun Float £5.99 @ quickdraw_toys_and_party Ebay free c/c @ Argos

Fun pool float for hours of fun Free Delivery or C/C from Argos

Got 2 of these with 6 other small inflatables for £10. And believe me no one can ride on them, not for the lack of trying. Not voted either way.

Makes sense

Voted hot and bought

We've bought something the same shape before, it's impossible for kids to balance on so you ate always having to hold them and it. May be different for younger or older but for mine (3 & 5) at the time it was a waste of money.

I got an email straight away with a code for redemption. Reckon I could fill this in for each member of my family and get a free hour each together? & even for the under 18's?

Anyone had an email yet

Yes. The rating of all the different things out of 10 (I think has been designed wrong) and it wants you to rank them in order. So you can only give 1 of them a 1 out of 10, another a 2 out of 10 and so on.

I booked it all myself, apartment through a rental agency local to the resort, one that I have used several times in the past, lessons and rental hire via the various local agency websites. The apartment (which allegedly slept 10), was £1200 for the two weeks, although we could have booked two smaller, budget apartments for roughly half that, or a mid range apartment for £900. When you use a tour company they charge you for the most expensive option for everything, even if you dont need it, and put an extra premium on lesson prices, ski hire etc. For example, their ski packages include an Area Ski Pass; current price for this (where we ski), is around £400 per person for 5 days. If you are taking lessons, you get NO use of this at all, as the slopes used for lessons have free to use lifts. It is far cheaper to buy a daily pass for the area you intend to ski; Grand Platiers for example, was £10 pp to get up the mountain, then everything up there is free to use. A Day Pass for the most popular runs on the lower slopes was £25 pp; either way it is far less than the cost of a weeks Area Pass. Obviously every resort is different, so read up on the resort, what lifts are free and what runs they access; then price up what you need. Since we were there teaching our then 3 y/o, most of our time we were only using the free to access Green and Nursery slopes; my son and his GF paid for more, as they took private snowboard lessons in the 2nd week, and tried a few Blue and Red runs using the £25 per day passes.

The price you quote sounds very good for 6 people skiing for 2 weeks. Where did you book that at?

Snow Dome in Telford used to offer similar deals during the Summer months, although in recent years they have been rather greedy. TBH the original price here was VERY greedy; for a few pounds more that the current you can get a whole WEEKS worth of lessons in the Alps; I paid £104 per person 2 years ago in the French Alps; the UK lessons will also be very limited, due to the size of the slope, whereas in the actual mountains there is a lot more room to practice - and of course in the afternoons (assuming you dont feel like a cripple) you can go off and practice what you learned in the morning. The 3rd day is the worst for muscle ache etc, after that it all gets easier. if you are serious about learning, go to the Alps, if you just want a taster, take a half day course in the UK. We paid ~£3,000 between 6 of us for everything during a 2 week holiday in a luxury 3 bedroom apartment, 2 x 1 weeks ski lessons, 2x 1 weeks snowboard lessons, equipment hire, apartment, transport, food etc. (I didnt need lessons or gear hire, and one was along for the ride/baby sitting duties).

Your exactly right, I done mine over 2 nights and I was in agony for a week haha, the thighs and hamstrings take a beating

Just a word of warning if you have never been on any skiing lessons before and are not in 110% tip tip condition then this full days corse will absolutely leave you feeling crippled the next day and that's if you manage to get through the actual full days lesson!

I went on a three hour snowboarding lesson here today, equipment was plentiful as decent. Staff were friendly and helpful, told you what you need to know, were on hand if you needed support, but let you get on with it. By the end of the first three hours I was having great fun going down the slope. A few things to keep in mind... If doing snowboarding your day is essentially learning to stop, which is key. Sliding down a slope is easy (genuinely, I did it within my first session) but controlling/stopping is harder. Because the first couple of hours are essentially standing on your toe or heel end there is a lot of leg work. Be prepared to feel the burn in your calf and quad muscles. Take a change of clothes, even if you don’t think you’ll fall over, you probably will, and even if you don’t, you’ll likely spend time sitting on your bum... I wore 2 pairs of joggers and my inner pair of joggers had massive wet patches. Finally, be prepared to write off the rest of your day (especially if you do it on a morning when the clocks go forward!!), got home absolutely shattered!!

Any Ski Lift evacuation lessons thrown in?

The place is too run down

On 27th April we will be permanently closing our Shop and Warehouse in Hemel Hempstead. It’s a sad day, but the good news is we're opening a bigger and better facility just down the road in Watford.

I thought they are just moving to a new store, but just checked the website, and they are the same price as the weekend when I looked.

That's good Glad somebodies Happy :D with This code. thanks for commenting (y)

Stayed at this hotel last year, lovely hotel, friendly staff. Food not the best but can find stuff to eat. It’s a bit out of town, free hotel shuttle running every 20mins. Going again in 3weeks as family. No idea lift pass price on own but we’re paying 220 Euro for 5days ski hire, lift pass and lessons (adults) less for the kids

fantastic advice - thanks so much Mikes123

We have been to Borovets many times. Have stayed in the Flora Apartments the last two timesas found them much better than other accommodation. We found it cheaper to book passes/lessons before going. Also take Sterling with you. There are many little exchange offices with very good rates, much better than here. Most restaurants etc. don’t take credit cards.

no we booked easyjet flights to sofia last april. booked Flora Apartments shortly after that. I still have to book the ski school and rentals yet. We go February half term - 10th-17th

Any idea of 1/2 term prices?

Hubby had gear from there 2 years ago and found it wasn't breathable when we were skiing. Took it back and had a full refund. Before then we've all worn their ski gear and it's always been excellent.

Perfect timing.... thanks... I've written a big reminder note on my desk at work for tomorrow.

If their INOC merino beanie is the same as the Crane one I got from them last year, I recommend it. It's superb- ideal for running, as a cycle helmet liner, or for general winter use.

Be aware that this is the Technical wear (i.e. better), they had the cheaper stuff a few weeks ago. I've been wearing Aldi ski wear for years and for the price you can't beat it. Heat added.

I bought quite a few bits of Aldi ski clothing from their "Ski Pro" range a couple of years ago. While it looked ok, was cheap and appeared to be waterproof, they weren't breathable at all, not even slightly. I didn't find this out until the ski trip itself. When I pulled the ski trousers off at the end of the day, there was literally pools of sweat inside that made a sizeable puddle on the floor, same happened with my kid's Aldi ski jacket. My North Face gore-tex jacket suffered no such problems. I switched to an older backup pair of ski trousers for the rest of the week which were fine. I've skied and hiked quite a bit so am well used to using performance waterproof and breathable clothing, but this was exceptionally poor breathability. If I hadn't lost my receipt, I'd have taken them back. Yes, they are cheap and to some extent the shortcoming is forgivable, but to advertise them as breathable is just totally misleading tbh.
