Any recommendations for a decent DIY tuning kit which won't break the bank?
Probably some good YouTube videos would be best. It's essentially melting this onto the base using a wax iron (other options would work too), spread evenly over the base, allow to dry properly and then use a scraping tool to take off pretty much all of the wax. Any base repairs and edging should be done first too. (y)
Get it in time for the British Summer, along with the wet suit
Can someone please recommend instructions or good videos on how to apply wax? I'm a total newbie.
My dare 2 be jacket was good value and has lasted 3 trips already. Not worth spending hundreds on unless you are trekking off piste for days. Just a decent one which is not a fashion jacket then layer up if it's a cold resort.
I buy mine on ebay, then resell it after the holidays. Free rental and sometimes at a profit!
I've not looked too far or hard, as I've got enough stuff without buying any more! XD But, I had a quick look in the sale @ DC, and this purple jacket and black pants are both 15K and come in at £270 total. Returns are free at DC as well. https://www.dcshoes-uk.co.uk/servo-snowboard-jacket-for-men-3613376353778.html https://www.dcshoes-uk.co.uk/relay-shell-snowboard-pants-for-men-3613376353297.html Another brand that you could look at is Dope - They've not been around quite a long as other brands but are snow sport focused and I've not heard any complaints about their stuff. Their stuff is usually cheaper than other brands, I think they're only available in the UK through ridestore.com.
Any chance you know any sites where I could get a decent ski jacket and trousers for around £250?

My 10yr old & many other kids in her class, & teachers, are off to Claviere, in Italy, on 6th March. None of the kids have had vaccines because they aren’t allowed them yet BUT most have had covid (lol) (y) I’m hoping they get to go & have a great time as skiing is beyond me these days despite me loving it & snow ;(

These are great jackets. Boyf has a variant of this (without the hood, he prefers that), it's light, warm, though only water resistant, so don't get it too wet.
I have a Columbia jacket very similar to this, foil lining it's very lightweight and warm, quality is excellent too! If you like regatta lightweight jackets you will love these
