I booked a 2 night stay on the travelodge website and immediately had a bank notification of pending payment to them. That was on Monday and I've yet to receive any booking confi… Read more

Thanks. I wasn't logged in when I booked unfortunately, their site wasn't playing ball on my laptop so I switched to my phone. I know payment pending in my bank doesn't mean I have a booking, but it means something went through. I'm currently waiting to chat to an agent so can leave the tab open while I do other things.

This has happened to me as well. Took a few days for the email to arrive. I emailed their customer services about it but it took a week for them to respond by which time I'd received the originals. You can log in and see your booking on the site if you're concerned.

I would have expected a few minutes. Have you checked your junk mail? If nothing, I'd get in touch with them and make sure there's no problems. You don't want to turn up and not have a room.

Travelodge Check In time HELP!
Hi guys, Thought this would be the best place to ask about the sneaky Travelodge hotel, I’ve got a reservation on my girlfriends name and we won’t be able to check in till 10-11P… Read more

I can assure you 100% that Travelodge over books rooms and then just bumps you to a local hotel which they pay for or the next nearest Travelodge if you turn up too late and the rooms are gone.

Def you not gonna be outbooked as most of the hotels running under capacity. But most of the hotels won't check u in without the named person on booking.

Happened to me. I told them when I booked the room that I would be arriving at approx 8pm. They still gave it to someone else. Eventually they sent us to a different Travelodge on the opposite side of the motorway. Annoying when it's hot & you're hungry & tired, with kids.

I’ve checked in at 3 am before, just let them know you’ll be last checking in

I’ve given them a call and they’ve noted it down, thanks for the advice!

Travelodge gone into CVA!
3rd June 2020 Dear customer, Update from Travelodge As a valued customer of Travelodge, we are contacting you today because you have a booking(s) with us or a voucher(s) or h… Read more

But if their competitors get discounts, it wouldn't help.

Shareholders would vote for it, but other stakeholders (the landlords) don't want the business to save money through paying them less rent. The business is not close to going under at this stage, it would survive without CVA (paying the fairer reduced rates already offered by landlords).

Why would stakeholders vote against something that will save the business money? Surely that would damage said stake

This CVA will be unlikely to lead to administration. Travelodge are taking it out solely to cut rents at the expense of landlords (majority of which are smaller than the company). They are taking advantage of the COVID-19 situation, after previously refusing to pay rents they are trying to get massive discounts until end of next year. The business may not be getting many bookings now but it is financially stable enough not to need a CVA yet, I would vote against it (and imagine the majority of stakeholders will do the same).

That is the next step.
