Bush Leather DAB Radio Red - £33.99 @ Argos (Free C&C)

Looking online this is at least £49.99 everywhere else and is only this price for the red version, the cream version is £49.99 in Argos

So I am not helping you cut out the middleman? Sorry! (embarrassed) ;)

To clarify - I had the older style red leather one. It became very temperamental after about 18 months of extremely light use of approx1 hour per week if that. I binned it & would not buy another on that basis.

Especially a red one.

I know that but didn’t feel need to give a history lesson. Fact is they are now designed and made in China and generally are entry level price and average performance

No DAB + , no proper lcd screen . Cold for £ 34. If it was selling for £12 , it would have been ok .

Oos south west wales 🏴??????

Thanks for the tip, might get one of those .

You can use your phone with a Bluetooth speaker. You can listen to anything you want, wherever you want. I have a water resistant one for about 20 quid. Take it in the shower, garden, spare room, camping etc. Sounds a whole lot better, and no need to risk your phone

My mobile does have FM radio, but I sometimes prefer an actual radio that I can listen to whilst around the house or garden, without having to have headphones on. Besides, would rather drop a cheap radio down the pan whilst cleaning the bathroom, than my mobile...

Tidy reviews on these and the cheapest I can find. I like the idea of two separate speakers connected to one Bluetooth device

You Sir, are a genius. That done the trick! No mention of that anywhere in the manual and both sets came unpaired strangely. Thank you!

Did u hold power until they are saying pairing ?;)

I've just about given up now. I have two different sets that just say "power on" and no mention of pairing with anything unless I double press the button and allows me to pair with a phone. There is no mention of being a left or right speaker or any link between them at all (for two completely different sets!). Both fully charged and with no USB cable in. My phone can connect to either individually but only play sound through one at a time. I have this hope of some secret, clever button combination that will put them into some mode to pair with each other, but not found anything! I think it's time to give up and admit defeat and take them back.

Yeah thanks, I’ve tried most that I can, different chargers/ cables. Left it on charge over night. Moving charger whilst on charge. Even contemplated removing the grill to see if bad connection. But it’s on solid. Will try few more times, then theyre going back.

In one of mine , usb port was moved a little bit to the left. Try to put charger for 1mm and move it to left/right. If its loose just use small screwdriver and make it tighty. Maybe that will help :/

I love a good HDMI debate! Don't buy cheap from China? But the vast majority of cables are manufactured in China. Even the "high quality, low guage" ones. So how is anyone meant to distinguish between a good cable and a bad one. Point of origin would not be a good way to do so. And although there is no official limit to cable length, I would point out that even the official HDMI site states: "it is likely the maximum lengths for passive cables will be approximately 2 to 3 meters." HDMI standards are arrived at by a very loose group of device manufacturers and companies. Their criteria for licensing isn't sticking to a specification, but paying a fee. (Which is why they won't commit to official length limit). In low voltage cabling, you're going to hit an upper limit very quickly, irrespective of cable gauge and material purity. If anything, I've had fewer problems with long analogue cabling (VGA, Component).

I just wanted to share my experience, in case people pick these up and find they are having picture issues with them. I got some cheap 1.5M HDMI extender cables, so that I could swap devices between my HDMI ports without damaging the TV connector. I found that most connected fine via the extenders, some no issues and others by turning off automatic settings ie. selecting 1080 (apart from the PS3, it refused). The PS4 had an occasional flicker black screen on PS4. No ideal but passable. However, after watching a recent 'My Life in Gaming' video episode RGB106, where guest host John Linnerman (of 'Digital Foundry') at about 30m35s talks about why setting devices RGB range to "Limited" is a good option. I went back into PS4 settings, set it to Limited range, and 'knock on wood' I've had no flickering issues since. I still need to check the PS3, see if Limited range fixes its issue. So if you get these right angle connectors, and end up having issues, try connecting direct to TV first and going through the settings. Turn off any automatic settings, and try changing colour range to Limited, then try the right angle connector again. But if its a 4K device, it probably just won't be compatible. In that case you'll have to source a right angle cable that supports 4K at 60Hz with bandwidth of 18Gbps.

Don't use these unnecessary. Tgese can degrade signal due to loose connection. Lesser the connectors, better tge connection in elecronics.just because they are cheap ,means they are necessary.

Bush has been around for ages, but since the 1980s it has been licensed out to other, mainly Chinese, manufacturers to make it seem like they have a real brand. in 2008 Argos bought it and now use it for exactly that, to brand electronic goods that would otherwise be "Argos basics" or similar.

We had a full size container of stuff going both ways, there was space and the stuff worked so we didn't really see any reason not to! Selling used stuff, particularly in South Africa is hard or impossible as well.

Christ..you moved your dryer across countries?! I always just sold everything in one place and bought in new! Fair play.

Good price hope you bought a dozen! (devil)

2 years? That's not a long time even if it's cheap. Why would anyone buy a cheap tumble dryer anyway? Aren't they a fire risk.

4k is a scam anyway. Often worse transfers than DVD.

Scart lead included.

Not everybody has Xbox 4K money some people are happy with what they have and this would do well for someone with a tv without a DVD player / kids etc

Just because it's old does not make it rubbish. Most of the Freeview content is still in SD and not so long ago we were all watching TV on CRT's with a scart input and it gave a very satisfactory picture. It's also a myth that people don't use DVD's any more but they are still sold after every new movie release. It may not suit a lot of people being scart only but it's 18 quid and making a comparison with an Xbox One is very unrealistic. Those looking for HDMI, Scart and a USB port at a cheap price might want to look around at something like the Logik L2HDVD12 though, which can sometimes be seen around the £25 mark, although you can also find others being sold on Fleabay.

Well said . Scart degrades signal . Dont buy this ancient rubbish . Buy 4k blu ray player like xbox one s instead and connect it with hdmi . Anything that comes with scart is pure junk.

Blimey I've never owned any phone that takes that long to charge :S my p10 lite is done in about 40 minutes ( it is a fast charge phone though ) I see your point better value options out there for very little more £££

The phone does actually have a gyroscope sensor. So probably would be suitable for VR (if you're desperate, since it's not the fastest phone ever).

The 4hrs charge time quoted by tech support would I assume be charging when the handset switched off.

I was neither joking, or sarcastic. So yes, you are wrong :) I never said that I expected a fast charge capability on this phone. You made that assumption when seeing I voted cold due to no fast charge.

I believe the commenter of that previous comment was either joking, or being sarcastic? (or possibly both?, lol). As I don't believe that anyone in their right mind would genuinely choose to believe that any £50-£60 Phone out there (even a China one?!), is likely to ever/would ever, have a fast charging port/capability thing built-in to it anywhere/in some way?). (skeptical) (embarrassed) (But I could be wrong? :/ (cheeky) ) Well, that's my thoughts on it anyway?, lol. :{

It was more about compatability than anything else but yes I get your point..

Your initial comment was about quality - not specification. If it meets the spec you need, then quality (and cost) dont matter as they do in the analogue world.

I don't really understand what you are saying. If you want to watch ultra high definition content but your hdmi cable can only do up to 1080, then your 'specification' will be ultra hd 2160p, and it won't support it. Sure a lot of older cables can run it fine, but not all of them. I'm not saying you need the best of the best, I'm saying you need it to support the format you want your content to be at, just 'working' is definitely not always good enough. You can disagree if you like but those are the facts. I deal with a lot of high end, less consumer AV that you are probably referring to i.e. projectors, where actually the cable makes a whole world of difference.

Nope - as long as it supports the specifications you need.

You do if you have 4K UHD devices and plan to get the most out of them.

I have one of these. It's ok but battery life is poor and it can be slow at times.

I've already bought the Fire 10, but Im wondering about selling it for a sizeable profit and picking one of these up.

Bad reviews

They are quite different tablets: Bush S2 8 -- 8" screen, 1.3GHz MediaTek 8163 chipset, 5h battery life, Android 6 OS Fire HD 10 -- 10" screen, 1.8GHz MediaTek 8173 chipset, 10h battery life, Fire OS It would be a closer comparison to Bush Spira B3 10 (http://www.argos.co.uk/product/7545513), but Fire HD 10 would still be a better choice if you can live with Amazon flavour of Android.
