I'm. More interested in the keg on the bottom right for 20p 😳 (lol)

I am, but there are 3 guys at work who do this, away days are entirely based on where there is doom bar on tap.

Tell me you are joking?

Cheetham Hill?? Even tho they reduced they’ll still get nicked

Doom bar is the best beer out there, nom nom nom nom, i travel 60 miles to a pub that sells it.

True, but then you can argue...cask? Hahah, probably not! But yes, if you consider it a big can, which in essence it is, the deal isn't so great at all, just novelty. If they brew the beer in this vessel, we're talking another kettle of fish ;) If it's gotten sweeter, I would hazard that the brewing has changed in bottle/can. I would assume cask still tastes the same. If none of these have changed, you're probably right - your taste perhaps has changed slightly!

I think we're in agreement there but I would point out that this thread is for beer in a (big) can! I don't know whether the recipe has changed but I don't remember Doombar being so sweet when it was first generally available. Maybe it's because I've taken a liking to the 'citrus' beers using Citra and other N American hops so other ales now seem sweeter?

That's a can, not bottle. Bottle carries a premium pricing, but I take your point: cans have reduced the price point - something I hadn't considered when referring to the £1.79/£1.50 price. When I was working in the industry, Doom Bar was still in growth, and can derivatives are usually introduced at point of maturity. I personally find bottled ales to taste a bit more accurate than their can counterparts, but cask is still best. Yes, it's brewed outside of Cornwall for bottle (and presumably can), using Cornish water. Cask is still brewed in Rock, as far as I am aware. They have tanked water up to the Midlands to brew bottled Doom Bar, to allow the 'Cornish' reference on the bottle/can. Unless they are now reverting to a Burtonisation process to match the Cornish water and have closed any legal wording problems. So apologies - I didn't mean to jump on you there. As for taste, Doom Bar was a creation as a mix from two others - I think one of them was Cornish coaster. It went from there really and has been in growth since. It's no doubt popular and carries its detractors as a result, but some of Sharp's other lines are great - Atlantic on tap is brilliant and Honey Spice IPA is superb, if you can ever get hold of it.

£1.25 at Asda: I quite like it but it's nothing special (a bit sweet - to suit the lager boys perhaps?) to command premium pricing: most of it is brewed in a Burton beer factory by Molson Coors anyway. I found the 'brewery' in Rock this summer: unattractive little place on a scruffy industrial estate. Added: Tesco do it for even less: £1.125!

This is filth

Happily pay you for it if they don't pal :)

Unless you'd forgotten you'd already bought it last Christmas (embarrassed). I know, I know, I should've checked Steam first, but I'd probably just have convinced myself it was the original version anyway. Here's hoping cdkeys support issue a refund.

DLC is included for free, change was implemented last year.

This will be my 3rd time playing this on a different platform. For just under a fiver it's criminal not to..

I'll second the praise given to Doom 2016. Absolutely fantastic game. It was worth full price, for a fiver it's a no brainer

Yeah I do always check that things are in stock, it's just a shame that the very good price didn't last long. Who's gonna pay that price for it :/ . Fun while it lasted (y)

It's been OOS in the UK region since they updated and added it to their recent Bethesda sale. It was £4.75 when you posted and in stock, now we know why (annoyed)

Well they put that price up quite a bit. I've expired (y)

yup dodgy as hell, no showing of paypal my end.........

Why is physical still so expensive on Switch? I want to give this game a go, but it's hard to justify paying it so much, especially since i already finished it 2 times on my PS4 Pro. Regardless i voted hot, for those that are ok for going digital route.

So I've linked my paypal account which shows in the English e-shop and the Norweigan e-shop, but doesn't show at all in the South African e-shop. Anyone else having this issue?

Wrong box art in the deal. Doom 1 isn’t on Switch. Id love doom 3 on Switch...

I think I’ll be getting Dirt Rally VR if I take to my PSVR when it arrives on Friday. I have it on my X, great game, but I reckon in VR it will be on another level. I’d imagine you can use the DS4 as a “steering wheel”?

Anyone recommend any games (3rd person <Red dead> open world <horizon zero dawn> simple/OCD <lego> etc)

It has me too. But I've not minded. Dipped in and out got absorbed in all the mini games amd stuff. You could probably complete it in 20-30hrs if you just focus on campaign. I've done all the sun stories, the real estate royale, the sunshine clubs. Just got absorbed by it. If you went for 100% completion you'd be looking at about 170-200hrs.

Anyone any thoughts on Ghostbusters as a local coop game?

Alright, thanks. It is as I thought, there is no other way of turning than turning yourself. I have small playarea so it is a massive problem. I can play standing but if I start moving I will tangle myself in cables. Ohhhh well. £ 8 down the drain until they patch it.

I couldn`t turn in game, had to turn myself. I didn`t do anything really it just worked and I see my Rift controllers.

Have you figured out how to turn using touch controllers. Is the only way to turn by changing position in real world? When I accessed options it was showing vive controllers. How did you change it to show touch controllers? Thanks.

Works just fine on Rift and shows Rift controllers to in game. Heat added, been waiting for a good price and this was about right. Sadly though in playing it I have not really enjoyed it, so it will likely sit collecting virtual dust in my library.

Didn’t know that, I just went on what the Steam page says but I know they don’t always list all the types that work. I’ll update the description accordingly. Thanks for letting me know!

Further to the overheating and loud pro conversations we have had here is a link to easily clean the pro and hopefully cool it a little

Went to pull the trigger at my local store but sadly wasn't in stock. Tried calling a few others and they all said no stock. Expecting stock in a few days but no idea if offer will still be on

Difficult to say at the moment, to be honest. I've not properly played any games which fully utilise the pro. I really should get back into God of war, that seems to be the game that really shows the pro at its best

Fair enough. I'm on the fence. Very tempted to go into my local branch and try my luck but also sitting there wondering if the upgrade will even be worth the money. Figured once I've sold my original PS4 it's going to set me back about £200 and I'll feel robbed if I can't tell the difference. I do have a really good 4K HDR TV set but so many mixed reviews of people saying it's good upgrade and others saying it's not worth it. Choices choices!!!!

I contacted them 2 days ago asking what branch had it near me but still no reply. Bit poor customer service.
