I can't even log in to it for some reason. No problem on their website but no juice with the launcher.
Curious why people complain about launchers. When I started playing PC games we'd have to find what we wanted amongst everything in the start menu. I like the Steam launcher and just have everything launching from there (add non-steam games).
Now this is a hell of a deal. Shame about the Bethesda launcher as usual, but £8 for one of the finest shooters ever made? Great stuff!
"Warning: DOOM Eternal PC (EMEA) cannot be activated in Ireland. If you still want to purchase, click "Buy Now"." This is not true if anyone in Ireland is looking to purchase it. It works perfectly fine. Brilliant price
Had some good bargains from ASDA but pot luck, most of the time I have a 10 minut wait at the checkout to be told it's not in stock. So frustrating , how hard would it be to TAKE THE GAME OFF THE SHELVES WHEN IT'S NO LONGER IN STOCK!!! (mad)
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order PS4 also £5 on scan at till (no dummy box/ or price on shelf) (Bargain) i seen this in the stock draw at the checkouts, and ask them to scan, as a rumour of a fiver price. Had last one, but no doom for ps4 (stocks for xbox where available) Asda are notorious for.... 1. Changing the Ticket prices (on Display) Updating to new current price This game was not on shelf/ or site (£5 at till) 2. Empty display box/ or out of stock ticket (Not updated) If you want a game that they sell Ask them to physical check stock draws at the checkout possibly in stock. 3,Alot of asda superstores have a music/dvd/games department with own counters (Currently unmaned due to covid non essential rule (So stocks/price's are not being maintained) due to no staffing for that department.
Got the last ps4 copy in my local asda. Total steal. Heat
Yeah it would do, I played it on ps4 I imagine it would run just as well
I've just left Norwich Hall Road and they have about 2 copies each of this (£4) Jedi Fallen Order (£5) and NFS heat (£6) on Xbox One if anyone is after it
I got it for the Q2. Great VR experience. It costs close to nowt on pc and this version includes the DLC so I'd say get both :) (if you already have the Aim), this is a great price for a new release
Get the mod for the PC and at least be able to play it with proper tracking, i did and it is fantastic, makes RE7 looks like a a day at the beach, and no aiming drift that i suffer constanlty from my aim controller, and never been able to fix it, i might get 30 mins of it actually working before the sight starts drifing again, so the PSVR 2 can't come out quick enought for me at this point, but play this game on the PC with 100% better tracking, you won't regret it. ;)
Got it on the quest 2 but seeing as aim controller games are few and far between might as well grab this version too (y)
I've played the Quest conversion, it's very atmospheric, not one for people who don't like scares. Being in VR makes such a difference. The Quest version is free, although you do have to own the regular PC version (which you can pick up for less than £2), but having a proper VR version is worth paying £13.59, heat added. (y)
Hmmm. Should I get the mod for pc using quest 2 or get this so I can use the aim controller....? Hmmm.
ordered, Thanks, was just looking for something like this
The DLC is a bit mixed, feel it was rushed to get it out, was disappointed. Fairly short, most of the new enemies have long invincibility periods or require specific weapon mods to beat and the bosses (especially the first one) are frustrating and not terribly fun.
When he spat the mad hymn gems
No it wouldn't
Does this work if you have your copy on Steam already?
I got motion sickness rss after 15 mins! So uninstalled. Funny I wanted to play this for ages and loved all previous Doom games but this one.. after the early area with the jumpy bit and the gun mounted spidery thing I kinda wasn’t feeling like it was fun. Usually first 5 mins of Doom is hype, but this one I was already Zzz. Maybe install again another time and try playing with settings to resize sickness but not motivated. Totally agree with your sentiment, all I want now are games that are easy to control right off the bat. No time or mood to spent hours learning controls or diving into inventory systems. That stuff is there to be time consuming and push the player into a learning curve for longevity. Was fine when I was younger but now I want plug and play. Think that’s why I loved Until Dawn so much. wss thinking to try Horizen Zero Dawn but looked like it was full of options and a deep control system. I know I’d have gotten bored before I’d learned how to play it right.
I use a PS2 pad with everything mapped via Joy2Key - works fine. The game is too hard for me though, I'm getting a bit sick of games that need you to learn about 15 different key combos, just give me up, down, left, right, fire and jump and I'm good.
Bought the Bethesda version but can’t use my PS5 pad with it. Anyway to use my Bethesda version in steam? Pad works great on steam
Can't sign in to the Bethesda launcher sadly. No problem on the website but the launcher is completely broken so this is a no go for me.
I bought this, seemed to take about 24 hours to install and in the first room I someone ended up in the middle of the floor, with textures clipping in and out. No idea how I managed that. Reminds me of Quake 2!
I can only find it on Xbox - is there a link to the PS4?
Got this a few wks back forgot I actually had it (lol) (lol)
I was going to mention it - does the physical version have any extras? I personally prefer physical copies as it's easier to trade, however I like the convenience of the digital version - no disk swaps needed! Heat added btw!
That's Doom VFR, not Doom 3 VR. This seems to support the Aim and DS4.
Fair enough on all that. Though I think many people who 'dont get motion sickness' may find that there is indeed a line that can be crossed. :p
Is it on PSN to pre-order yet?
I do get what your saying and as a marketable product I understand. It would not be for everyone which would be a big problem. I do not get motion sick but I know alot do and things would have to tweaked/ toned downed to allow it to be more VR friendly (though not to the extend on Doom VFR which is a different game completely due to the changes you mentioned). It would be to much for the average person to, kinda like riding an intense roller coaster for hours on end. I think it would still have to keep the same input devices for the quick reactions to, I do not mean those hand controllers I just mean the headset. It would be a niche product but I still would like it to be tried, just for the hell of it, a full on (or 90%+) doom 2016 or eternal experience, it would be something not many could handle for various reasons but to the few who could...what a rush.
Fast paced is fine if it's directed. One that has you completely surrounded half the time and requires tons of jumping and weapon switching and dashing and whatnot - that's not fine. One of the reasons a game like Doom Eternal works so well is cuz you can move and react so much faster with controller or mouse+keyboard than you could normally. There's a reason that they made Doom VFR instead of just porting Doom 2016 to VR as a whole. This let them tone down the action and pace, while keeping enemies largely in front of the player. Doom Eternal is also a whole extra level of insane on top of Doom 2016. I genuinely dont think it's doable - or rather - only a small percentage of people could handle it, both from a motion sickness standpoint and gameplay standpoint.

Looks like Amazon is sending out French version of the game - worth bearing in mind if plan to re-sell/trade in after playing.

When that day comes, I too wonder how many sigital games have just been removed from storefronts and cannot be played anymore.
yeah they did it with Dead rising trilogy which I was ready to buy at 9.99, then they never put it on sale for ages, which just happened to be after we get the 1st game free on GWG which makes me believe we will eventually get the other two free, so no need to buy it now.
They do that all the time it’s annoying - the cheaper deals usually come in the bigger sales they do throughout the year like Black Friday etc — AC EC is also what made me notice them doing that!
imagine what it will be like when there isnt any discs ?
Skate 3 for me. Absolute bargain!
