128gb would be enough, I'd struggle with 64gb. Its the RAM which is more of a concern as I typically keep my phone for 2 years and I'd like to be a bit more "future proofed". The white does look soooo good on the mix 2s though. I was hoping to find a deal on here for it but this one popped up to help complicate things!

Mrswitch

The mix 2s is my next phone, has to be white. Not fussed on storage. I'm not an Samsung hater, had a couple in my time, just can't get away with the interface, move to stock and then I'll reconsider.

Mrswitch

I can't find any info on what this has, the exynos, or sd. In every day use, I'm sure most people wouldn't notice the difference.

Tei

Not from personal experience. But what im reading, the snapdragon has better battery life and performance. Edit: I thought I'd clarify... The exynos is the standard version sold in the UK so this german model (if it has the same) will be no different physically. I've voted hot as this is still a very good deal, so much so that I may purchase it anyhow! I was looking at either OP6 or Mi Mix 2s with 128gb or higher, and haven't been considering the s9+ due to price. I'm using an SGS7 now after previously having SGS4, SGS2 and SGS1 so I'm not exactly a Samsung hater either :P

Great product with charge lasting 1-2 months. Two problems I encountered. Screen is impossible to read outside in natural daylight. The strap locking mechanism (plastic peg in a hole) will catch at some point and if you are not careful, you will loose the watch unless you become aware. I solved this by pinching one of my daughters hairbands and using this (wrapped around the strap multiple times) to secure the lock

kos1c

I got one of these roughly 3 weeks ago. Still on my first charge if 27% left. Great watch, HR monitor is a tad off at times. Sometimes it'll do 3 readings 2 within range of each other and the 3rd miles above what the others were. Screen is really poor in sun light. Very hard to see it, even when covering the screen it just doesn't light up enough. Step counter seems to work with the swing/bounce off your arm. So pushing the bike up the hill doesn't count for me. (Just read above of placing the tracker in your pocket for these sort of things). For the price it's a great watch. Bluetooth notification is great, even in the small screen. The morning alarm is good, sometimes I sleep through it other times I react instantly. If you're looking into your first tracker. This one is a great start.

EMGPORT01

Are there any uk suppliers for quick delivery.

Benjy25

Has anybody else experienced this with this particular version and is it a deal breaker?

YikYak

It has both. Screen and button where you can view steps, hr and calories etc. And an app to track sleep, steps, workouts and set alarms etc.

I have the 49XE8004 - fantastic picture and Android OS should be a plus. It isn't - can be annoyingly laggy at times. The latest firmware update (LINK) is meant to solve some of the lag but I'm not convinced. Changing some settings (4 processes, kill Samba/SonyShare) does help for a while.

I thought higher end Sony TVs use more powerful chips to drive the set i.e xe93 works just fine with android and very responsive. Not sure how lower end Sony sets perform though with Android.

kkrush

I owned it for 2 weeks and returned it. The os performs poorly on the media tek chip on the sony tvs. If you Google for Sony android TV performance you'll see it's not model specific, all Sony tv so far uses the same chipset to power the OS. The display itself is great, and the price is great for amazon. Voted hot!

‘Normal’ viewing test above. Image retention apparent very quickly. When people are spending decent money on a TV, it should not have these issues. The guarantee against chocolate buttons statement is about user misuse. Using an expensive TV normally shouldn’t cause issues. It took Plasma TVs a number of generations to deal with this before it was resolved. As for it’s not a fault, if I saw the remnants of the sky news ribbon on the screen, when I watched something else, I certainly consider that a fault, would you not? Millions have been sold, agreed, but millions more view this as a potential problem. Hence why this set is a good option for those that will wait for it to be resolved.

ezzer72

I'm getting so sick of this idiotic thing that people keep harping on about. It's not a fault, so LG will never add it to their warrantys included list - it's like waiting for them to add cover against putting chocolate buttons in the cooling slots on the back! Normal usage will not create any issues, especially on the B7/C7 etc. series. Presumably the new 2018 models are even less likely to suffer. They have sold millions of these TVs, and there may be a handful of people who have had a problem - I personally don't think anyone who can afford to buy an OLED should miss out on the experience, purely based on being the one-in-a-million unlucky ownere. It really is comparable to never crossing a road ever again because you MAY get hit by a bus.

Markdb

Well Sony are about to replace my XE with an XF due to the Stutter problem. However my friend hasn’t had a problem with his. The XE is a great TV and it will be a while before the XF hits that price...

nice-new

Well I have been on a hunt for a new TV and just don't know if I should buy the 55XE9005 or wait for the 55XF9005 to go down in price because of the better motion and Dolby Vision.

nick05

This was as cheap as £1799 plus 5% discount earlier in the week. Price will come down again soon I’m sure. Anyone know if JL or RS price match Power Direct? For what it’s worth I like this TV. Great motion handling is a major plus point for me. Shame the feet are so ugly though and the 1080p input lag hasn’t improved. Likewise it’s disappointing to seeHDMI 2 and 3 are still the only full fat ports.

Less than 123 quid from Banggood (and choice of all 3 colours) with code S2BGG6, with option to pay 4 quid to insure against customs. I'd post it as a deal but Banggood deals are banned.... I got mine from JoyBuy and with the 30 quid customs came to just under 150 quid all-in (blue only at this price). Still an absolute steal at that price so the Banggood price makes it a complete no-brainer. Absolutely love mine and so nice to have a 5.5 inch screen housed in a body that fits easily into jeans pocket...

patricia_1066

AliExpress don't have PayPal as an option. I found PayPal very helpful in a previous Chinese phone purchase. The phone was received in apparently perfect condition, however could not make or receive calls. If I relied on the seller, gearbest, I don't believe I would have had the full refund, as how could they reproduce the wireless condition in UK? PayPal refunded me as soon as I had proof of return. Gearbest then were still saying that tests would be required to give a partial refund, no postage. This experience has affected my willingness to buy in China unless I can use PayPal. For a purchases under £500 from UK ebay seller, eBay indemnifies both seller and buyer.

Yeah, the v20 was underrated, that's all you hear regarding LG mobile phones these days underrated, which is sad because I like what they do. I can't recall the v20 having any bootloop issues, maybe someone will correct me, but if it did, then I didn't hear about it. Ahh a removable battery, how I wish we had them days back, as for battery life, I can't comment, but just buy a spare 6 and keep them with you at all times, and you shouldn't go short I wouldn't imagine. Also can't really comment on the camera, but I remember reading it had a good shooter, although every phone camera nowadays (again) is sufficient for most people imo. Savvy choice, especially at todays prices.

woldranger

As a bit of an afterthought, what do you think about a mint used or refurbed LG V20? If I can get one for around £180 I think it would tick a lot of boxes - a good camera and a removable battery would be awesome! The battery life is supposed to be pretty decent, from what I read. Did they ever end up with any of the crazy issues the G3 and G4 encountered?

I have the global version of the M2 and that has the Play Store so why doesn't this? That phone has 4GB RAM, a slower processor, no NFC and is still on Marshmallow so I wish I'd waited for this one. Although this phone will probably be stuck on Android 7.1 forever as ZTE are indeed terrible for updates. Though the deal from the Italy warehouse is probably better at only £3 more as import duties from Hong Kong will be more than that. EDIT: The review posted above makes it sound like the global version does have Play Store.

jasee

It seems it's possible to install Google Play and then Google aps see: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nubia-z17/how-to/how-to-unlock-bootloader-flash-twrp-t3636861 and https://www.theandroidsoul.com/download-nougat-gapps-7-0/ But I understand :) this only gives you access to a restricted number of google aps. It never occurred to me that there could be phones without the Google version of Android for phones (which Google own) I saw this as disadvantageous, you would not have access to a lot of common and very cheap/free aps. But actually, if you think that Google is already too intrusive, then it is advantageous! OTOH, you are in the hands of ZTE for updates and security.

davening

ZTE were banned for not keeping to their agreement for 7 years from using US technology eg Qualcomm after being caught selling to N Korea, Iran, etc. Trump was asked to help resolve this situation as ZTE would have gone bust or used CPUs from other manufacturers. Recently in context of Trump being asked to help, a Court order was ruled to prevent any reduction of the 7 year ban by the US Administration. But, here is a news report mentioning progress. ZTE Fined $1 Billion: Deal Reached With U.S. Administration To Lift Ban - Gizmochina gizmochina.com/2018/06/08/zte-fined-1-billion-deal-reached-with-u-s-administration-to-lift-ban/ In summary, there would be a Compliance team checking that ZTE wouldnt be doing anything dodgy through inhouse inspections (from my understanding).

jasee

There is an asian version presumably for the Chinese market, this is the 'global version' it would be very annoying if google play didn't work with it agreed. I've tried to chat with them about this but they're probably all sleep :)

louiselouise

Not strictly true, but anyone who is even casually aware of ZTE knows that the Axon 7 and 7 Mini have had updates and Oreo is just around the corner - the Lineage OS version (from https://www.reddit.com/r/Axon7/comments/8ovghe/unofficial_lineageos_151_released/ ) is ready, at least. The Axon Elite, which my sister has, definitely didn't/won't get updates, though. Edit: As the Nubia Z17 has a Global ROM I'd assume you'd be relying on xda for updates - there are Z17 ROMs, not sure about the Lite, but plenty to explore anyway https://forum.xda-developers.com/nubia-z17/development

mine developed a fault where it didn't charge fully even charging for 2 days, only 2 out of 4 lights status. It would also seem over time (4 months) it couldn't charge many devices. Could only charge my phone (one plus 3) 2 or 3 times only till depleted. Cheap product, took whole day to charge the power bank. Before it became faulty it charged devices automatically when devices first connect, but recently had to connect the device then press the button to begin charging your devices. Not great tbh.

darknesskai

It is a good deal for the price. If you’re out and about and need to charge your phone, I think you’ll choose a “slow” charge over no charge. And why are people in a rush to charge their phone anyway? Just throw it in your bag and keep doing what you’re doing. I have one of these and it’ll charge my iPhone 7 Plus in about 1-1 and half hours. Very sturdy and well made. Can’t go wrong with RavPower.

So Norton's still not got any better in the last 15 years then? Back in the days of the Ark when I used to use it the lasting memory of it is that it was probably more of a system-slow-downer than if you actually got infected...To this day things are blamed on 'F'ing Norton'. Anyhoo, agree with the ESET post - by far my favourite but by far outta my price range. AVG, full of false-positives; Avast, see AVG; Avira, I think my issue with that was the splash screen every time you wanted to fart, as well as falsies. BitDefender though, think the time I tried that out it pretty much froze my system, maybe has an issue with Dual Boots?

eslick

AVG sold peoples data without asking so more than annoying :( have a try of Avira, its one of the best out there.

thegamingkinginfo

I agree with your choice of Eset, I have used them in the past and have been very good but due to their expensive nature i've resorted to Avast Free and Malwarebytes which has been a great combination for many years now.

Lowtrawler

Agree entirely with this post. In my experience, Norton is resource heavy, annoying and as difficult to get rid of as any virus. McAfee it's just very poor and AVG is very annoying. My favourite is eset but they are much too expensive.

thegamingkinginfo

I would much recommend free ones such as Avast or BitDefender or even Microsoft Security Essentials. Usually you would find many offers on HUKD for free licences for anti-virus' and anti-malware's such as BitDefender 6 months. Avoid Norton, McAfee and AVG in my personal experience

Having had there for a week or two I have to say this is probably the best use of 50 quid if yet want some really good sounding comfortable earphones. They are superb sounding and really comfortable. I use them with an mp3 player and not a phone. The buttons don't work but I never expected them to so not a mark down from me. Really pleased with them and tempted to get another pair as spare to go with the dozens of earphones I have!

Thanks op. Bought one with Amazon £10 coupon after they missed the delivery for one of my order yesterday. Looking for a replacement for my returned soundmagic e10c earphones which had poor mic when using it with my s7 edge.

Apple solved that problem for you. They removed the 3.5mm socket entirely so you don't have to deal with these trivial matters of in-line remotes not working properly (lol) I know they have those stupid Lighting-to-3.5mm adapters but I recall losing both of mine within 3 days and just ending up with wireless headphones instead.

I have a pair of these and they have been unbelievably robust. Very good sound too. (y)
