I’ve watched a review and it states that there is no Bluetooth.

Might sound a bit stupid - But are these safe enough as far as being left plugged in constantly on standby - like you would leave your Virgin Media box on constantly? Have always avoided electrical stuff from outside the EU, but this looks like a great wee box for what I'd want.

Back in the day when I had flagship iPhones and iPads I was always terrified I was walking around with £1500 of gear that could be dropped or stolen. The specification for the Lenovo tab are amazing for the price. 1080p won't be obsolete any time soon. The dual sims - wow! I remember losing my debit card abroad a few years ago and short of paying international rates for a premium 'local' rates to my bank, I just whipped out my tablet and made a paid for Skype call back for less than a penny per minute. It was a life saver and certainly made me appreciate the value of these devices in emergency situations. They are so versatile. There was a time when people happily paid £100 for a satnav, Google maps device, media player, phone, camera and yet now we have computers in our pockets that combine all these features in a single pocketable portable device more powerful than the last laptop/desktop we owned. This device pretty much ticks all the 'must have' boxes for a premiere mobile computing device. Size, form factor, CPU, Sims etc. I would actually have bought this myself is there wasn't such an overlap between my iPad and my Oneplus5T. In the future there will be faster more powerful portable devices but that won't make this one any slower :)

bitcoin5

Fabulous feedback and spot on, hence why I post deals, I feel will have use or in your case, a dual use, we too have iPad Pro's but you try sticking one on a dash board, or walking around oxford street seeing the sights or using it with a drone controllers.. you need arms of steel & the stamina of Hugh Hefner to carry it around all day! Love the fact *if* you need to actually make a call or check a map or watch a film on the tube, you can, without taking your £1500 iPhone or £1000 iPad Pro, out with you.. and at this price, you can not eat out one Friday night and buy 2 of them, one as a chuck away sat nav!!! No Band 20?

FrugalFergal

These look like impressive specs for the price. Android tablets seem pretty dead at the moment so its nice to see new devices like these coming on. I have just got back into the tablet game after five years by getting my new iPad yesterday (the £250 HUKD one) and they are great. This particular device would be very good on holidays as it can be carried around easily just for google maps and the internet in your hand and with dual SIM support a spare phone too. It also takes the strain off your main phone so you don't have to take a break halfway through the day to recharge it.

Cheers for the heads up but this is going to go freezing... purely because this is a deal forum and you've posted just about the most expensive mobile game out there at its RRP. I'm going to try the demo and may give the main game a go if I like it. Can't stand in app purchases and would much rather mobile games be made and sold like this.

Aeschylus

Most predictions throughout history are based on logic and data... so no, it was not a complete guess, it was based on Capcoms other monster hunter game on iOS, which rarely goes on sale I might be wrong, but history tells me I am not

JohnnyRoller

This goes on sale tomorrow, early bird offer. Half price on all capcom games. How do I know this you ask?... The same way the OP knows it won't go on sale for ages, a complete guess.

Totally agree. As a consumer product (i.e. "out of the box") these devices are good, as an enthusiasts product (i.e. with custom firmware flashed to them) they are absolutely superb. You can probably tell by the number of posts I make on these Sonoff and similar products that I'm a big fan of them. I have many of these devices doing a host of different things - smart guinea pig hutch anybody?! XD No...seriously. The latest application is a Sonoff TH16 (16 amp switch with integrated temperature sensor) running ESPurna. This is wired to a 2.5kw heater in our summer house where our two guinea pigs have taken up winter residence. The temperature probe, which is situated in their "bedroom" monitors and feeds temperature readings back to Domoticz via the MQTT protocol. A script in Domoticz then runs each time a new temperature reading is received - if the temperature is below a certain threshold, it turns the heater on, and when it reaches the desired temperature, it turns it off again. I get alerts on my phone if the temperatures exceed the tolerances (too cold, too hot) and I can control the switch manually if needed. Of course the heater has a timer and thermostat built in but being analog these are wildly inaccurate and my method is not only keeping the temperature at the perfect level, it is also keeping my energy usage down (a five minute run time is enough to keep the temperature at the right level for anything between 2 and 8 hours depending on the outside temperature). Come Christmas time, our outside lights and display will be controlled by smart plugs and even our little old candelabra has been made "smart" by the addition of a 4 quid Sonoff basic in place of the switch it used to have.

DJBenson

These are not compatible (out of the box) with Apple Homekit (y) I control all my Sonoff devices with Homekit using Domoticz, Homebridge and homebridge-edomoticz which exposes a vast array of Domoticz devices to Apple's Homekit ecosystem. For those who prefer Amazon Alexa or Google Home, you can use ha-bridge instead which does the same thing as Homebridge apart from it exposes the devices to both Alexa and Google Home instead (I run all 3 protocols on my network so every device is controllable from any home assistant platform).

aLV426

Same thing has happened to me with eBuyer, I don't go posting "it's a scam". They would not remain in business if they consistently failed to deliver products. It happens from time to time - go to the payment method and see if you are insured that way. I have also had a lot of items posted by CEX. In the end I just chalked it up to experience as the emails kept asking for the receipts/delivery note (so they could check which store shipped the items)!? If I haven't received the items how can I have a delivery note? I probably could have taken my own advice and filed for a refund through my credit card, but at the time it was too much effort...

aLV426

Erm, no this technology is not in it's infancy - hence it's so cheap, problem is to keep costs down the software interface is not as polished as a full consumer level brand product. There are hundreds of blogs reporting how great these devices are and more positive reviews than negative. Perhaps you haven't got them configured correctly?

1*Man_Squadron

This is a great option for lamps that have the smaller screw bulbs and not e27. E27 seems to be the standard for a lot of smart bulbs like Yeelight. Much cheaper than getting a bulb too. Heat 🔥

No1_Dave

defintely best looking sony phone to date with their first oled hdr screen, but as mentioned above it's really quite pathetic to still only have 64GB storage for a flagship phone when your competitors are all 128GB or above, I know you can add microsd card but many apps installs and uses internal storage only, so once it's full you must delete. I'm still on my xperia z and have been wanting to upgrade, thought finally the xz3 will be 128gb (there were rumours, the oled screen rumour came true), was then hoping to see if there is a XZ3 Premium with even higher spec and 128gb storage but so far nothing, very weird as sony usually have 3 models compact/regular/premium for their flagship. Oh and specific to certain asian markets eg HK & TW they get 6GB ram whereas RotW gets 4GB only.

aliboy86

Sony phones always looked like crap in my view but this is looking better 😁

PhilK

Bit overpriced to say the least. Sony phones have fallen behind due to their obsession with pathetic storage (16gb into 64gb age) and poor design from a company who used to set the design standards Ripped off in UK ? You're right, I didn't notice that. The "Windows Without Card Holder" is OOS. "Windows With Card Holder" is currently £149.99. Though the subject title says "Dual Boot". Didn't see Dual Boot mentioned in the manufacturer introductory video I watched? To be fair, the Laptop Outlet ebay blurb/illustrations/Specs tab doesn't make it clear, either, as it mentions Windows 10 Pro, even when you select Android. Main difference between the two (Windows versus Android) seems to be the supplied keyboard.

Guys, for £300 you can get a proper and better one. Even if it is second hand. I know people think Anker is a good make and I agree with this, but still better brands out there. Got my 2nd hand LG PA1000 hd ready, 1000 ANSI, wi fi, etc for £100 on eBay. Barely used. If you really want one to have it in the house for as and when, you can get a rubbish Chinese one for £50. I think this one is nice but probably for £100-200, from £300 up you can get better brands with better specifications, don't think is worth to pay for the smart, novelty and wow factor.

NikLP

I'm surprised that Anker have even bothered to release these, they're normally so avant garde. This is a cool idea but the spec is pretty naff.
