I understand the hotel check in/out times but what about arrival and departure times for using their facilities? I’m confused, are we only allowed to be there 3pm-10am
Great... but it looks like the animal village is closed on all those dates??
No good for children as they will be at school midweek.
Theme park is closed at that time however
Yeah, stay there so you don't bother me on my holidays.
It's a Counting Crows' song.
you on grass!!! :)
Asleep in perfect blue buildings Beside the green apple sea Gonna get me a little oblivion Try to keep myself away from me… Voted hot, I like Blackpool. Admittedly, it does have an element that occasionally needs its nose put out of joint. But there's loads of places that have that. Went Pleasure Beach last year n either didn't see any wrong uns or we were the wrong uns.
I live next to Blackpool. I can confirm that "Shanty Town" is the politest name you could give it. It's truly a pit.
We always used to have a cheeky night in a travelodge on Christmas Eve (before we had kids)... worked out cheaper than getting a taxi home!
I think this is a brilliant deal...especially if you're visiting family that don't live close to you. I'm not a big Christmas fan, we dont really celenrate...so a couple nights away with me n my 2 boys over that period would be lovely ;)
If no one books these dates over Christmas, some extra staff who work there might get extra time off (cheeky)
Christmas in a travelodge? Depressing.
I noticed (through editing your search criteria!) that Cardiff is also really cheap for 23rd-24th December ... hope that helps someone!
Thought the breakfast at this hotel was amazing. Heck even the porridge was best I've ever tasted.
I am from Durham and love my "normal" accent. The hotel is very nice, 2 min walk from the main city areas. Parking is not too expensive on the road and free after 6pm. yes building works next door, but not at night and weekends - so not an issue. Some view from the hotel overlook the cathedral and castle - alt - walk out the the hotel - cross the foot bridge and walk 8 mins.
Daft question but does anyone know if you can book 2 nights at this price per night?
What an idiot , Accents make the area you are visiting even more enjoyable. Durham is a beautiful place and one I would have no problems visiting again .
Durham locals have a very normal sounding accent and easy to understand unlike some other accents in the northeast. One of the Most beautiful little place in NE. Very rich in culture. It's a shame they are modernising the city
Cold, I want to sleep in the castle!
I'd probably say no tbh but worth checking with the hotel you want to stay at just in case.
Does any one know if it's possible to convert this to two rooms one night?
day off school maybe? wont effect your little one trying to become a scientist or whatever they want to be ;)
Does Victor know about this?
Yep, great deal for anyone with 3 or 4 year olds. Other ages, not so much.
All term time dates
from what I read of the reviews, the no window rooms are not even ventilated!!...even if you could handle the smell of them you could get really sick sleeping in there.
sold out for the dates i want
Never did a Yorkshire man say... We sunbathe all year round.
Neverrrr! Dont like cold. I wear a jumper in mlst of the summer.
I'm from near Leeds it's not that bad! Man up as one would say. ;)
False advertising - this hotel is not in the Peak District, it's in the Manchester commuter town of Bollington. Cold.
We stayed there a few weeks ago and had a lovely view.........of a brick wall ! As would the other half dozen rooms on the ground floor on that side of the corridor .
Huh, I have taste thank you, I only drink Asti as it's so dry.
You could always ask for a glass of black tower as a substitute - tell them you’re allergic to bubbles?!
I'd have gone for this if you hadn't mentioned prosecco.
Not too impressed with the menu.. otherwise looks a good deal
Isn't 'Martin Mere' nearby, that's worth a visit. Also there used to be a Sunday Antique fair in area, get there early for the bargains.
There's some miserable people. How about rivington? They even have a go ape. There is Cuerden valley, yarrow valley. Some nice restaurants not too far away. Foot golf and karting not far off. I quite like it round here. There is a canal not too far off with pubs a plenty.
It’s not too far away from Martin mere wetlands. Cannot think of another reason to spend any time here
Blackpool is nice and next to the zoo. Bury is in a great location to see manchester and a decent hotel/restaurant too.
Glasgow and Newcastle are both decent glasgow one is only 2 or 3 years old.
Brilliant thanks, just booked the pompey 1... Need to crash 1 night prior to Southampton cruise. Perfecto... Thanks to poster. 😁
Can't complain for this price. However the food is awful
Stayed a load of times at Newcastle and the rooms are clean and tidy. Very comfortable beds and full Satellite TV (club rooms only). For the price they are brilliant.
A cathedral is a religious building. Spirituality is different from organised religion.
Personally I don't like Shrigley, the whole area is dated and very...local. I went into a café and asked if I could change my newborn before I ordered my lunch, I was told to do it in my car! This is typical of the staff in everywhere I've been in the area - they act like you're a total inconvenience. I've not heard great things about this hotel - those photos are a few years old!
yeah - i went a few years ago and it was okay. think we paid not much more than advertised price but it included dinner we had a great room overlooking reception / golf course we ate in restaurant and dinner was good i used the pool which was okay but a bit dated
I went for a one night stay before visiting Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet. Had most of the afternoon there using the Spa and having a some drinks and snack. The evening meal was terrific, room was pretty decent in my opinion (This was Oct time). Only disappointment was the Jacuzzi not being in operation (After speaking with a frequent visitor - they said it had been like that for some time now). Not a massive pool/sauna/steam room but I enjoyed them. Would def book again.
Thanks for that. I was about to buy it.. ;)
Stayed here for a wedding, the rooms were horrific and in hot weather the rooms are unbearable. I'd personally avoid.
Just tried code SUMMER25 , doesn't seem to be working anymore , even though it does state book by the end of 31st July. Unless it means all available dates have been booked :/
If you're going as two adults, there's a B&B right outside the towers. Opt for that, 80 a night.. and also get two cheap sun tickets on eBay. Alternatively, Kellogg's BOGOF. Then go back the following day for an additional tenner I believe it is. Doing that again this year once schools are back in September. Will be about 200/210 all in for 2 nights and 2 days when the kids are back.
Tis true , we got 4 rides in 7 hours and not to mention all the down time on a few rides
Why would you go to water world when the Alton Towers waterpark is so much better
Crazy queue times in summer holidays. Wicker man ride was 2 hrs 25mins last weekend! Lucky if you’ll get on 3 popular rides.
Any deals on THAT car
Yes, I found it 18 lines in. Why don't you just put it in the headline? As a Mod I thought you should demonstrate best practice. Are you concerned that it would look less attractive or something?
I guess they want it in the title...
My wife called and someone answered quickly and told her they are really busy and if she leaves her name and number they will call back in a couple of hours.
Yup, quite difficult to get someone to answer, apparently there's not enough staff and they need to deal with customers that also want to check-in at the hotel, hence the reason why they're not picking up straight away. Your best guess would be after 9PM...
Jeez...i already have the vowcher. if I can't find the dates I want I will just cancel the vowcher and get a refund. But no one is answering on that number..
I've managed to book a day in July by calling the hotel, number listed on Google ending in 500. It was quite a lengthy process, I might add, as I called once to check for available dates before purchasing the voucher and after that a few times to confirm the booking and give them card details too. Hopefully it's all ok, although I had to call again to ask for a confirmation email, however still not received after 3 hours. Will call again probably.
Anyone knows how to book the hotel as no one is answering on the number listed on Google. Is the only way calling the 084 numbeR?
I've done the North Sea 4 times in the last year, but via the Stenna Line, and have always found it totally fine and so did my friends - but people handle sea travel differently and with it traveling across further north this boat may be worse. If you're London or elsewhere, and you don't like flying, just take the Stenna Line from Harwich, get a train to Amsterdam and then book a hotel stay for 2-3 nights. It's a wonderful city and needs much more than a day to appreciate - less than a day would just be frustrating. It's a expensive city to eat drink and stay in though, so I suppose in terms of 'going for the sake of it' and it being cheap, I guess this is a good deal.
15% Quidco could track too.
Just park your car at Royal quays shopping centre in North Shields,it's only a few mins walk to the ferry terminal & it's free
