Maybe not, but useful for everyone else given I see the same chain of discussion on almost every airline deal posted.

Thanks for the lesson in how it works but I didn't need it. I merely stated the price had gone up by £100 in the space of a few hours. Never had prices jump by £100 on another airline in the space of a few hours was more the point. I am sure there were loads of people booking flights at midnight English time...

It's an urban myth that airlines use cookie tracking to bump up prices. Other people have booked the flights/seats you were looking at, that's why prices go up. Snooze you lose / early bird gets the worm etc... Also Skyscanner/Kayak etc cache prices, so unless you click through to get the live price, the price originally displayed in their search may be weeks old in some cases.

That was initially through skyscanner

You're just plain wrong about the food and drink, there's no problem at all. I believe P&O might have restrictions on their Hull routes but DFDS certainly don't on this one. We paid £104.50 booking directly for four of us with sea-view cabin and transfers to Amsterdam. Amazing value. The kids absolutely loved being on the boat so it wouldn't have mattered if we'd only had time for lunch in Amsterdam, as long as we knew that in advance, as it was all about the trip for us. My point is that dismissing this offer is unfair as it's excellent for some people, as with most things. And it was irritating to see the "bobbing about in the North Sea isn't a cruise" comment repeated again to because someone thinks it sounds clever.

When we went they were selling 6x500ml water on the boat for 10 euro. Equivalent cost of the Costco water would be about 50p! Don't forget to take your own. Amber leaf 10x50g was about £90 200 L&B was about £70.

What you’ve compared this to is not what’s offered though is it? You stayed an extra night, how much extra was that? Agree with all the comments you get next to no time in the dam, and from past experience they search your bags before getting on cause they don’t like you taking your own food n drink in!

When we went on the p&o hull mini cruise deal, we stayed for an extra night. Well worth it. The p&o offer usually runs during autumn and spring.

It's £12 per 24 hours so only £24

It was in the paper for food hygiene recently I believe, wasn’t very good at all 0/1 but it’s now got a 5. You can certainly tell it’s a £30 a night venue, that’s for sure

It looks lovely, I just need to pray so we can have a couple of day of

Lovely place, been here several times, just north of Norwich, close to Norwich airport. Well worth the money (y)

Deal no longer available :(

Great price, have stayed here before. Food is very good - rooms basic but never got put that far from the bar/dining area (but even if they had, i wiuldnt personally see that as a bad thing!).

Not been here but - I have been on a few of these breaks with this site and different sites. When get there though, seems they put you in furthest part of hotel (room) and away from main dining room and other diners. Filling up space! I suggest you cherck first when booking. We have been smartly dressed for dinner and others came in wearing jeans and logo t shirts. Although meal very nice this can spoil the experience.

Way too confusing and risky for me. The idea I’ve got to buy it via Groupon and just hope they have a date available in the near future seems like a big gamble, even if the price is great.

Nice hotel and worth a visit. Last time this offer was on we upgraded to a suite - however this was not worth it. (Two rooms at the end of a corridor - no sofa or anything nicer, just a bit weird. Done on a shoestring)

Bathroom in our room was fine

Thank You

Bathrooms look horrendous. I'll pass.

funny how the promo code says it's from hukd

I'm fairly unfamiliar with HUKD's but it seems to me the deals are rarely legitimate. I clicked on 'get deal' and cheapest offer from this hotel is £73 per person ... This happens with most 'deals'. Am I missing something?

There's a Hilton in Shavland?

Agreed, but I'd rather spell it Silicone. Best thing to do is slip in one side and straight out the other. XD ============================================== As to them calling the new shopping centre The Lexicon, the last time I looked a lexicon was a "collection" of words, not a "collection" of expensive shops and restaurants. The deal may very well be a deal (if you arrive with your eyes closed and never leave the hotel, except to go home) but, if this were my idea of a fun night away, I'd choose somewhere more pleasant for my treat, even if it cost a few quid extra?

New shopping centre, the Lexicon which has lots of dining and cinema etc

It was really sh1te, now it is just sh1te.

Resurgent? Please expand.

If you read what's included it mentions Glamis Castle is a 30 minute drive away, so is Murrays Bakers in Perth.

Jesus, we'll need GPS co-ordinates and a compass point to establish exactly where that spot is and where it's looking to. Suffice to say that it is a cracking deal in Scotlands most resurgent city. Aye it's far from perfect but it is dragging itself back up which is more than be said for a lot of places.

Not hot or cold. FYI 4 of us stayed 3 nights at the Travelodge at Lytham St Annes last August for a whopping £66 in total. No parking but lots of free on street parking. Tons of decent restaurants on the main street and surrounding area and the beach/prom. And free wifi from the M&S Food Store below us!

Wasn't a sweeping statement.. but was about those slating it without having been there.. by all means it's open to fair criticism such as yours. But faux snobbery about sleeping in someone's shed makes me laugh.

I don't like camping. I don't like Spain. I guess I only like my house.^^

A shed costs a few hundred quid, a decent camping pod costs a few thousand. There is a bit of a difference in construction quality. Camping in a tent is just paying to sleep in a field covered by a canvas sheet but it hasn't stopped hundreds of thousands of people from enjoying it. Some people will get it, others will be happier with a week in Spain and a free bar (I like both equally).

I had fond memories of Warwick castle from visiting as a kid but we were massively disappointed when we visited, mainly because of the extra cash they try to rinse you for on top of the ticket price (£6 for the carpark, £9 each for the Dungeons, which admittedly was the best part of the visit but that's a fair whack on top of the admission for a family, plus £5 for the archery and £5 for the knight school). When we were there a couple of weeks ago they were overcharging people for drinks and blaming the tills, and even when we pointed it out they carried on doing the same to the people next in the queue! Plus despite all the advertising materials featuring knights jousting that's actually only on a few days a year. The birds of prey show was just about adequate I guess but massively crowded when we were there. God know how you'd stretch it to a 2 day visit - maybe deliberately leave lots of stuff you need in the car so you have to walk there and back a few times at a 30 minute round trip? Incidentally if you want to see a truly amazing and spectacular birds of prey show (one with the sky filled with hundreds of incredible birds, including some diving from a hot air balloon way above you) or a knight/jousting extravaganza that will take your breath away then have a look at Puy Du Fou in France, I really can't recommend that place enough, all the shows will leave you stunned. Obliviously I don't expect Warwick Castle to be competing as they are completely different things, but if you want to see just how good a knight based spectacle can be (or want to visit a Roman Amphitheatre for a chariot race and gladiatorial combat or see viking longboats loot and burn a village etc) then check it out - I wish we had something with that scope and scale the UK.

If you book 5 days in advance is £18 for one day or £19 for 2 days.Hope you have a great time there.

Term time only is a bit limiting :(

Our family really enjoyed it, castle is great, but just avoid Days Inn hotel (Warwickshire North) awful hotel!

Not worth £29 for a night away in a hotel pp and tickets to a very decent uk attraction... but its worth it at £22...???? I wonder where the line is on that one.

You will that people who call places ‘ a dump’, usually have never visited the place. 🤨

I found the Prado to be 'too good'. The depth and breadth of the collection is beyond even places like the Uffizi. To be honest it made my head hurt - I was 'arted out' after a couple of hours. It needs several days to take it all in properly. Amazing city. Brilliant metro too.

Whitby good for a short break.

So there's a different reason for wanting to kill business?

Maybe do some research before you start spouting off? Brighton has a Green MP but the council is run by Labour and Conservatives. Street parking is run by the council but the big car parks are run by NCP (a private company) and the hotel.

Maybe because an off-peak return from London is £36.40 each.

Great deal for where it is. There's a couple of b&bs on the front with similar pricing every day of the year but you'll get ripped off parking anywhere
