Well I googled and watched the first YouTube vid that came up. 3M didn't come come bottom in any of the tests that guy done and in fact came out top in one.

I never said Gorilla or T-Rex tape was cheap, I was comparing my own experience with an inferior brand of tape against the 3M tape. Anyway, it did the job for me.

Gorilla tape is not cheap duct tape. No comparison. Any Google search will bring up a you tube comparison of the best tape. 3m comes bottom, and yes I have used it and wouldn't again. Gorilla or T Rex are miles better for their intended purpose.

3M might be a quality brand, but the 3M duct tape at Lidl is terrible. Very thin, with poor glue, and doesn't tear straight. Absolute waste of time.

I think you misunderstood what I said. I was very much agreeing with you - 3M spend a lot of money on research, so it's not surprising that their tape is much better quality. (y)

no it's not like that at all. quality can be easily personally seen and tested. 3M duct tape is among the best, this "work zone" is weak, cheap quality rubbish.

yea I tried some of these from Amazon as well, stay clear. They were terrible and needed to be replaced within weeks. They looked low quality as well. COLD

Thank you igloolad. Deal still £12 for prime members, despite being marked as expired. I have the Stanley 8m and my work mate has the FatMax 8m. The FatMax is a much better tape for a ‘pro’worker: just ordered one.

I bought these a year or so ago, get used fairly regular,dropped, bounced, kicked and still working well!

Good tape but most people don't use this everyday, maybe twice a year for some so poundland tape would most likely be sufficient anyway hence the cold votes.

Previous posts for the £2.50 in Tesco have been for the 1 metre one. Which works out same price per metre as this is for 2 metres
