No! This is so strong it will even rip loose wood away. I've used it to bundle sawn lengths of CLS studwork timber so I could take it on the bus and when I unwrapped them small slivers of wood were torn off.
Is this good for decorating? A bit like using it as masking tape to cover skirting boards until the painting is done? Need something strong enough to hold paper covers but gentle enough to remove and not leaving tape or residue behind?
£7.09 for 32m at Zoro if anyone's interested.
I discovered a place called the Sticky Stuff store that does Gorilla Tape products cheap - cheaper than Amazon, eBay etc. They only do free delivery above £20 but if you can get to the Uxbridge industrial estate where they're located you can buy over the counter. Confusingly their physical premises are under a different name which escapes me, so best to check in case you become as hopelessly confised as I was. stickystuffstore.com/search?q=gorilla+tape
I'm needing some of this stuff but don't know what I can get that will definitely be real stuff but fake? Ive tried Screwfix Halfords etc but seems the don't do the 3M stuff but their own/other brands would that be preferable to risking getting a fake off Amazon/eBay?
Depends how critical the application is. Car manufacturers stick trim on with this stuff. Viking, CPC, RS and Screwfix all sell it and none of them co-mingle fake stock.
They still come from China and all are made in same factory most likely I have bought quite a few of these rolls and didn't notice any difference. Bought from AliExpress, amazon, ebay and even local store all of them worked the same very well when you heat them up. (cheeky)
Thanks, ordered this for putting foil behind rads
There's a brand I've not heard in ages. Remember the massive long buttons that you had to almost stand on to move. (lol) (lol)
Soundwholesale is on eBay, but the prices are quite a bit higher than on that website. They have 99.4% positive Feedback on there. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_dmd=2&iconV2Request=true&_ssn=soundswholesale&store_cat=0&store_name=soundswholesale&_oac=1&_nkw=tape Best deal I can see for 3m tape from them on eBay is 6x 132 meter clear 3m = £13.16 That is the same amount of tape as the 12 pack on the website - which is £11.99 on there. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/361361689849?hash=item5422d5ccf9:g:PuUAAOSwT6pVya7G
well spotted, yes i'd rather buy from eBay as they can always step in, shame the clear tape 66m OOS now
https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.soundswholesaleltd.co.uk Yeah, those reviews are awful. Obviously the same company but it's a different website if that makes any difference. https://www.soundswholesale.com vs http://www.soundswholesaleltd.co.uk - (bad reviews - no tape for sale on there) I've bought off them twice and there was no problem. I saw that the 6 pack of clear tape was listed as £64.90 on the website. Took them a while to fix it after telling them on eBay.
It’s a cheap price but not all tape is created equal Has anyone actually used it? and has any one used it in a tape gun? ive Found that cheap tape can be a false economy as it doesn’t stick, or stretches and then contracts so pulls back through on the tape gun rather than being ready for the next box. (I had to time myself and price it the penny per swipe to justify 3M tape to accounts in a previous role)
Very good price however some very bad reviews on trust pilot
