Where is it coming from, the moon?!!

Agreed, the delivery fee really is atrocious!

Buy two copies of Assassins Creed Odyssey with free delivery minus the 20% discount. £25 a copy. Sell one on and it's the cheapest price you'll find for this.

I know you mention that it's best to purchase 2 games to get the free delivery, but the £8.99 added to each of these for delivery kills any of those listed above as a deal, sadly. It really does need highlighting :(

Not saying i used this method... or had to find that random xbox memory card !

The series did go through a ropey phase until Blacklist came out in 2013 on the XB360 which was very enjoyable IMHO. I recall the days that a SC game save on the original XB allowed you to soft-mod the console! (pirate)

Loved the first few titles, then it all went a bit bad didn't it? I don't remember them quite so highly regarded anyway. We must be due another instalment soon, surely? Heat OP!

Thanks (y) it's refreshing to hear that once in a while. Re social I agree violence is not just because of gaming, gambling is also a big issue.. I think/feel modern social media has forced everyone to fit into a group or crowd, focus on that and care little who is not in our crowds. Which then for the people who are not in 'clans' to be more extremist in their ways because of lack of support and no community sanity checks (which leads to shootings, preditors, terrorism etc).. That's just a big big guess though. I have nothing to back that up. Just what I see/guess :/ I haven't studied socialism or whatever so I'm as ignorant as they come. Re China As insane as it maybe, people are just moving with the times.. China is a force to be reckoned with, complying with none essential things for the gains imo is fair. Similarly, we collectively on here do not turn our noses away from deals from China when we clearly know they are taking advantage of the current trade system (no tax, cheap postage etc etc).

Do you know what, you're right. Studies can absolutely be biased and it's important to check where the funding has come from when taking them into account. I guess I'm just thinking about the amount of gun crime in places like the states compared to countries with tighter gun control. I've no figures, but I doubt that there are way less people playing violent video games in the other countries, so it makes me think its not as big an impact as some would like to believe. I would look more towards scare mongering news, social media regulations and lack of funding for mental health as much bigger factors. A violent mind might be drawn towards violent games, but I doubt its the CAUSE of it. Also, my issue is with changes being implemented to a 3 year old game. As far as I can tell, they are purely cosmetic. The violent gameplay itself isn't (currently) affected. Slot machines on walls have been removed, but the in game 'gambling' aspect is still prevalent. Skull faces have been replaced by masks. A melee icon changing from a knife to a fist. If this had been the case all along, then fair enough. But these changes are in my view, a bit insane, and pandering to the whim of the Chinese government.

Not my primary angle, my primary is that Eastern culture they do not show these things openly. Its kept hidden away from public view. Imo that is a good thing to have some fake none violance layer for the publics eyes. Since the families have no time/skillset or general concensus on standards on how they should ideally bring up their children for this topic, the government steps in to do it for them, to provide laws to protect everyone from sex/drugs/violance/gambling. R6 complying to this imo is simply accepting their culture and how China does things. It doenst critically harm the game or "freedom of speech". I wholeheartly think the more exposure you have to stuff like this the more one thinks its acceptable actions in the society. So, yes, I believe showing lots of betting adverts will incline someone to bet and get addicted. Yes I believe showing sexual media openly will create more rape victims, yes I believe showing a kids/adults to GTA etc will mould their brains thinking running over or shooting someone isn't 'that' bad. Final point: "studies" are professional opinions with statistics (that can be biased either direction). If you actively look how studies are formed, generally the systems are corrupt. Eg look at how our PhD system is set up, you don't get recognition for disproving something that's been written already (or rarely). It's in a hierarchical process, if you don't agree with the 'team' you won't get funded or given the time to search for it. Therefore it won't be written. Edit: I understand some of my points are not backed up by 'solid proof' etc but I can see chrildens (and adults) mind can be moulded depending on environment. I mean, I kinda do it as a job professionally which can make or break £m's and typically I don't need technical evidence that often nowadays :D ...

So Ive downloaded this and the only part I can play is the first stage where I have to kill 8 enemies. How do I access the online?

Really? The 'online shooters cause school shootings' angle? I'm pretty sure they've done studies which show there is no correlation between violent games and violent acts. And aside from that whole enormous angle, we are talking about a game involving anti terrorist units around the world, taking out terrorists, with guns. This isn't Kirby: Star Allies. Its been active for what, 3 years now? And they have only just decided to make these changes to appease the Chinese government (which from what I read, will be hosted on separate servers anyway). Yes, it's greed. Hardly surprising, a game company wanting to make more money, but it's still annoying as a fan to see unnecessary changes made to a game for that reason.

I'm on the ps store and it's asking me to pay £10! What part of free does this promotion apply?

Lol I've had that happen too. Maybe it's to do with jealousy or them wanting MVP? There are some very strange folks on the game anyway :).

Yep totally agree it gets to a point where you hope you die first ! Having said that I was the top scorer on a game the other day and got kicked :o no idea why ! But I prefer that to being tk.

Makes CSGOs community look friendly!

Yep, gotta love the headless-chicken Ash players who get mowed down within the first thirty seconds & then complain about your strategy and vote to kick if you don't get an ace clutch :).

Depends, if there is only a FTA, like the one Canada has, then no, as there would be custom duty to pay, like when you buy something from the US. Also your consumer rights won't be as good, due to the fact that the UK won't be in the EU anymore.

Where are you getting 27K from? The last count shows 123,993 current players. Steamcharts shows a very similar number. Again, it's the 4th-most played game on Steam alone.

25 million accounts and most of them are Smurf’s especially if only 27,000 are playing it on steam !

Maybe the number of accounts is cause everyone creates multiple smurfs

I got it after free weekend for 16.80. I like it as you can just pick it up and play a quick mission. Good for juggling around work and kids. Games like xcom and sniper elite require a longer period of concentration!

I replayed it during the free weekend I still like it but won't pay anymore that £15.

I thought so too. But have recently returned to it. Now, the "Max Out" of Level 30 has a Tiering system on top. The more tiers you climb, the harder the default setting gets. You start at Tier 50 - im about Tier 30ish and its *nails* Honestly, Unidad turn up and I drop charcoal brickets in my pants.

This is £15.99 on PSN for a couple more days.

Decent game to jump in and out of but main missions are very easy, then it just gets repetitive.

Also worth noting the game is shocking... I loved the way vehicles bounced off things! Yea yea... I know, my opinion and some will love this game. Heat for price though op... well done.
