For anyone wanting an opinion the polar opposite of @kovacsadam89 here is what I thought about the game during its last free weekend: Played the game this weekend for free. I won't be buying. This game is as Ubisoft as it gets. About two minutes of story in an initial cutscene then that's it, straight into your open world checklist! Combat seems fine, weapons are nice and punchy and satisfying when you kill someone, but that's the most fun I had with the game. Granted I only played for a few hours but from what I understand the whole game is just the same few missions over and over again. Graphics are...ok. This game is so poorly optimized I can't get a stable framerate. Animations are pretty sub par, comparing against The Division from the 2016 (a year prior to this game's release which I picked up last month and am loving) is almost crazy, that game is so polished and all the animations are silky smooth. Speaking of bad animations, holy moly the driving in this game. The car never goes where you want it to go, and driving a bike is even worse. I'm currently playing through The Witcher 3 at the moment, and comparing the smooth animation of riding horseback to what seems like 4 seperate frames while riding on a bike is almost insulting. From what I understand, the Gold Edition gives you two expansions, one based on driving which is currently sitting at a mostly negative on Steam because...driving and then a second one which is more story focused. HOWEVER, they are seperate to your main game, so you're not missing out on anything on your main character by not getting it, so I'd pass. Oh yeah, there's a 4v4 PVP mode with the season pass too but trust me, having played lots of Ubisoft multiplayer sections they're dead on PC after a month. Heat for the price, and I guess I'd recommend it for anyone wanting some mindless openworld slightly stealthy/action based co-op stuff (the most fun I actually had with this was messing around with my mate in co-op just in disbelieve at some of the AI/physics in the game). For me with a huge backlog, there's no way I'm adding spending 30+ hours completing ?s on a map, not again Ubisoft. if you do want an open world checklist Ubisoft romp, I'd heartily recommend The Division, much more stuff to do in that game with the loot system being much more rewarding that this game's level up system. Level up! Increase your revive speed by 8%!!
Probably the best coop game I've ever played. It's like MGS5 meets Narcos. It's a steal at this price
