10p for litre bottles in Morrisons Ayr.

It's pretty much near this price all the time in Wilko. I think just 2.5l containers for £1.25

Is this the same as what they use to clean windows with a waterfed pole.

Carplan De-Ionised Water 5L £2 (+£4.49 Non-prime) on Amazon
I was browsing today and cheapest I could find was Ebay for 6.99 then checked Amazon. Maximum 3 but should last a long time for steam iron
getmore4less

Crazy max 3 ordered despatch from Scotland as 2 packages get as far a Luton and end up on two deliveries. Fluff filters on tumble dryers don't get all the fibre we have a secondary filter on our heat pump and that catches loads and stuff gets through that onto the condencer Tempted to set up a cascade filter with all the masks we are finished with they go down to under 3microns and we have enough 5ltr containers.

You are what we call a special kind of stupid

tommol

Good girl yourself. Did you not get it when it was £1?

Bash_er

No small fibres in ours. That all gets collected in the fluff filter.

Not sure if as good as Demon Foam, but if you buy 10 litres of this, then its £22.78 delivered for FREE. Maybe of interest to someone as Demon Foam seems so expensive.

Evening Standard: Dr Hilary urges people not to wash their cars during lockdown. https://www.standard.co.uk/news/health/dr-hilary-gmb-car-washing-lockdown-a4415116.html Sigh...

colombo

.....sorry mother (lol)

zcaprd7

I could wash my summer alloys, they're sitting in the back garden, much to the annoyance of my Mrs... Also, you should have added a comparison price, people see £20 for a bottle of washing up liquid, and down vote, move on. The chit chat and discussion normally helps a deal as well...

colombo

ha ha ha.....I wash my car in my back garden and so do all my neighbours - what are you talking about. (lol)

zcaprd7

It wasn't a rant, if I got good vibes, I'd have bought it...you've posted a deal for something that is essentially useless, as no one can use it currently?

I have no intension of using water out of a condenser tumble dryer tank in a steam iron or similar. But from the sounds of it some others who posted above might?! CarPlan De-ionised water at £2 for 5 litres seems affordable enough.

gazjon

Bear in mind, unless it's filtered, that water is likely to have tiny fibres in it, the little fluff thing you empty out only catches larger stuff.

cheekster

Usually, the two different types of tumble dryer are referred to as being vented or a condenser. “A condenser tumble dryer collects moisture from your wet clothes in a container, sometimes referred to as a reservoir, which is located within the dryer itself. This tank collects the water and when it’s full you simply have to empty it. Most modern models tell you when the tank is full. This is beneficial for many people as it means you can place the unit pretty much wherever you like – it doesn’t have to be placed by an external wall.” https://www.appliancecity.co.uk/laundry/tumble-dryers/condenser-vs-vented-tumble-dryers-whats-difference/

If you have a dehumidifier......the water there is essentially the same.....and free.

Yup, good advice there. I'll never use hot water, even room temperature water does the job.

Grahamdue

Keep an empty plastic food bag in your car. Part-fill with warm tap water when required and just move bag around windows to melt ice. Great back-up if you've gone out in the evening and your screen is frozen when you want to go home. Keeps your hands warm too!

jaques_kalis

Thats the usual price in pound shops. I would rather buy from local shops to help their sustainability.

Best way to rid the ice from your windscreens is to put warm water from the tap into a freezer bag tie the top so the water can’t escape and rub the bag across the ice Job done

kimbern

I stopped using things like this years ago. Take any old plastic container, fill it with water and dissolve a few tablespoons of salt in it. Melts ice INSTANTLY. (Make sure the water is quite hot before you pour it on the windscreen, otherwise it doesn’t seem to work as well)

Just want to point out for anyone that doesn't know, de-ionised water is used for topping up the acid in the car battery. It is not a replacement ie you don't pour out what is in there and replace with this.

bigwheels

I’ve ordered 5, 3 are arriving today.

turbo_c

Delicious

marty-401

sounds like your air con unit needs disinfecting (mould spores most likely). But water from these units is usually fine to use in a iron.

Grahamdue

I thought it was distilled because the water was vaporized by the heat of the tumble dryer and then condensed back into water- as it's a condenser dryer.

Yes, it went hot! 8)

gazdoubleu

I'll keep an eye out thanks. I've tried this condensate trick that's mentioned above but the water was contaminated with clothing fibres (likely plastic given all the polyester clothing) from my heat pump dryer. I also found mould spores growing in there after a short while especially from the dehumidifier.

a666andy

I've no idea to be honest, it's a while ago since i found out about them, it just looks like they're trying to expand lots and fast. The locations map has 2 coloured pins, blue are existing and the grey coming soon. I think it was something like 150 locations when i first found them but their site says up to 430 sites will be available. To be fair, sites can be as little as a metal shipping container plonked in a parking space or industrial area, nothing fancy so easy to expand to new sites i guess

gazdoubleu

Is this a relatively new venture as the majority of the locations I've clicked on say "coming soon"

a666andy

For those that don't have humidifiers or condensers, look out for sites of Spotless water, around 4p a litre for non account holders I tried posting it as a deal before but the company isn't allowed

I've never had a problem with carparts4less aka eurocarparts. The waiting times when collecting items are bad, but delivery service has always been 5 star. I order from them every few days(due to work)and have never had a problem. There will always be a minority of people that receive poor service though.

I second that, never had any issues with either of the two. Always manage to find stock and delivery has been hassle free to date.

jamie19916

Not much of a booster, adding 500ml to 5l of screenwash only freezes at -5, the same as any cheap screenwash. Takes two bottles to get to -10. Was going to add this to my screenwash to stop it freezing, but doesn't look strong enough to give the screenwash a boost compared to cheap screenwash.
