Thanks.. Ordered one for my son

Excellent deal! Thanks OP For free postage you need to spend over £60. You can only buy 4 pairs of these shoes so would have to add other items to get to that price.

great find I have twin boys who get through about 4 pairs of school shoes a year each

Lots of others on there, though they appear to be going fast - maybe I should ask for commission? :D

I have clark's boots and love them. Fit well, so so comfy and still going strong after daily wearing. I find their shoes suit my feet. Never look at the info label as to where they are made.

No longer available sadly.

I seem to have helped them sell out of the example I picked so here's another one (of many):

i still would rate clarks highly .. just make your homework and check the reviews/check the quality instore before buying etc.. I own a walking shoes that i use daily and its been 2 years and still going strong.. same goes for my son's trainers .. much better than the ones i get from m&s and next etc... So thanks OP for the heads up and ignore all the country of manufacture nonsense going on here..

With the normal prices, hard to imagine why these shoes couldn't be made in the UK. Good sale prices though, hard to accept this deal is cold when others similar Clarks up to 50% off deals were hot.

FFS. Debenhams out of size 10.5 of Buckley Cap. I wonder if Clarks would price match.

Looked at the kids sale. Some truly awful looking shoes there! (horror)

Yeah obviously stuff they can't shift only.

The image looks like light brown coulor but mine is very dark.. it seems as a black one

Image might help.

I've received mine today and recognised it's a dark brown colour not the light brown as listed . Is that the right colour? Or you received the light brown because I am thinking to return it back . Thanks

Size 7, 7.5, 8 and 9 now in stock.

So how any of you find these a little big for your size?

Seems to be some kind of 20% off offer most of the year now at Clarks - is anyone paying full price anymore?

Voted hot, shame Clark's prices (only looked at men's shoes) have shot up so much in the last couple of years.

Code doesn't seem to work now?

yep can confirm code works even if you log in from your account

Thanks. Still suits some though. Probably other sizes in other styles? This was just an example as it 'popped up' when I was browsing; I haven't explored the ladies section of the site. ADDED Just tried another similar one at random: lots of sizes and the extra 20% works too: Or these?:

"...the stitching come undone and they'll be scruffy within a month or so..." Really? A month or so? Take them back! Do you wear them on a building site or something? Possibly this deal isn't for you then? Actually, unlike so many British brand names from the past these are still designed and made by Clarks of Street in Somerset, albeit most are actually made in Vietnam. I guess if they were hand stitched in the UK the price would be 2-3 times as much? Anyway, my experience is different to yours and they last much longer than 'a month or so'. Maybe its my age but I put comfort first in a pair of shoes and I've found most Clarks styles to be very comfortable, though I usually go for the wide fitting these days. I'm reluctant to buy shoes on-line as sizes and fittings vary so much but I have found Clarks to be pretty consistent so if a size fits in one style it's very likely that the same size will work in another style.

Thank you, ordered a couple of boots for winter! Hope they will fit :)

I don’t think it’s made in India. Anyways Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) was busy as just launched 2 British satellites in space.

WELCOME20 works

Brilliant - thank you! This just saved me quite a bit on new school shoes :)

This was running a few days ago then suddenly stopped. I managed to get in just in time. They use Hermes for delivery but fortunately our local agent seems to be pretty good, unlike many I've heard about.

The image clearly shows the outer cable but none of the text mentions it is included. You can get about 10 inner stainless steel gear cables on ebay for about £2.50 but don't include the outers. You can get full kits for about £4 although some reasons some supplier's don't include inner gear cables but include gear outer's strangely.

Truth is, Chinese don't misjudge the UK market, their websites merely imitate what UK companies are ordering from them, much of which Chinese people would not be seen dead in.

Holy moly I've just realised after all this time that I was talking nonsense; I saw "Clarks" under the title and thought the OP was the company itself. Just saw a Dell deal with "Dell" there in bold and realised my mistake. Sorry :)

Hope a few people got a good deal. I think the sale has ended now so I'll expire this thread. Don't worry, there'll be another one along soon!

I think what he means is that a fake reduction isn't a reduction at all, so the word "genuine" is, or at least should be, superfluous.

Many are 'fake' - which is my point; is that really so hard to understand? Mountain Warehouse is a perfect example: half price is normal price; they're only 'genuine' reductions when they come down below that. I'm sure people can give many more examples. Don't you get out much? ;)

Genuine reductions? Don't you just hate all those fake reductions? :/

Is this still active today?

Haters going to hate but I've been wearing Clarkes for 20 odd years and still do...Brought some last year wore daily for work and they still could last another year! Maybe some of you play sports with them on or have 2 left feet hence why all the complaints!

Should be shopping at shoe zone or the like then haha.

Unless the item is on a massive sale, you really don't "get what you pay for" at Clarks these days. The shoes I've had from there over the past few years have been mediocre and fairly expensive. Also, they seldom seem to stock the wide width in the more fashionable styles, so they're not really offering something you can't easily find elsewhere any more.

What a load of garbage. I have been buying shoes from Clarks for years now (over 20 in fact) would never buy anywhere else. Yes they are expensive but as the saying goes you get what you pay for, always comfortable and extremely well made. Don't pay full price buy them when they are heavily discounted (like now at 60-70% off) and you cannot go wrong! Just purchased 3 pairs for a total of £130, original price was £340 absolute bargain compared to the crap you will buy from the likes of shoe zone etc. NO I do not work for Clarks simply giving my honest opinion of a brand I have used and been extremelly happy with for many years. I hope this may help somebody. Cheers.

Just to add clarity: It's a store wide clearance, not just shoes or kids.

if you bought it in store I'd return to he store as I always find them very helpful

I'd kick up a stink with them. A sign saying "sold as seen" does not absolve them of their statutory rights to ensure something is "as described". Should be able to get your money back if you start quoting legislation at them, or if that doesn't work, small claims is dead easy.

I bought a bean to cup coffee machine in the JL clearance a couple of weeks ago. Good price and so I checked when buying is it new? Oh yes - discontinued model hence the discount. Box was sealed and nothing to indicate that it was not straight from the factory. On opening I found that bits eg scoop, descaler missing. Machine looked fine but on using I found that it had already been used to make around 200 cups of coffee and needed descaling. The milk frother did not work either. Upshot is for me to cart it back in and get a refund and to add insult to injury after prolonged emails I am told "all Branch Markdowns are sold as seen". So beware John Lewis - not the store it once was. If you buy a clearance item I suggest you open the box to check before paying.
