iDECT Edge Plus with Call Block - showing as £69.99
Thanks, bought the one base unit with answering machine, £21.50 after buying a voucher through work scheme. Didn't want anything fancy, the Panasonic's look good but around £5 more, it will probably only get used a couple of times a week.
Telegram Telephone Tellawoman
Anyone recommend a twin handset with a shared phonebook? I.e regardless of which handset you update the phonebook on, both handsets see the same phonebook? Also would like speed dialling too!
Have a look on here : https://www.telephonesonline.co.uk/gigaset-telephones.html
it makes sense to get your sky q box early, then when you renew with them youll be offered a deal to stay on .
Offer ends on the 29th June
I am interested as my virgin contract is ending soon
Ok thanks (y)
£40 is the base price, multi-room is extra on top
Ordered dual ones
Highly recommend, they are abit light but great value for money
Best cordless house phone i have ever bought...superb!
You can earn the extra nectar points on this. These any good?
Would of thourt that be obvious but ok cool
Refurbished is not brand new and unopened. It often indicates something that has been used, returned and to be resold. Or used, found to be defective, returned for repair and to be resold. Whatever happens, it's never brand new and unopened which in my opinion makes it second hand. :D
Refurb is not always second hand. A refurbished item can be hardier than it was when it left the factory the first time as its had any issues it might have had sorted out. I'd go for refurbished any day for a saving like that.
By not answering your missing out on a whole lot of fun. :-) If you have the time answer and play with them.
Good price, currently the same at Amazon, Currys and Argos too, but I guess you don't get the two years with them. :)
Leah thankyou (embarrassed) (y)
Heat added (highfive)
looks like it yes.
Showing as £89.99 on website, has this finished?
I have the S850A/H they are fantastic as I'm sure the ones the op posted are. Very good sound quality even on loud speaker, good signal, I can walk quite a long way from the base, good battery life, easy to use, caller ID support good volume. Mine also support Bluetooth, VOIP etc and get notifications of missed calls and answer phone messages to my mobile (although my landline rings my mobile also). I could continue but just take my word for it. Gigaset are great phones. Heat from me as a bargain at this price! P.s. I live in the middle of nowhere so not bothered about the supposed security issues. Anyone hacking my phone would just get bored to death from junk voicemails!
So if someone got passed security what could they actually do... I thought the device only allows VoIP calls externally, not remote access to the admin side of the system, unless you enable that, so unless someone was on my local network they can't do much, or can they?
These look very similar to my set of Siemens Gigaset C595 which I bought in 2010 to replace a Panasonic set still under warranty. Excellent voice quality. Design seems rather sturdy, dropped quite a few times on laminate flooring but not a chip yet, on phone or floor. Last year had to buy new rechargeable batteries for both handsets. Grab a set while you can.
Sadly this model does not use the Trucall call blocking system, it has the vastly inferior and near-useless "type 1 call blocking - block up to 50 specific numbers". Otherwise, decent price for three handsets if you don't mind self-screening incoming calls.
yes it seems so.
Are these the same £73-83 @ Cleverboxes on Tesco site ? https://www.tesco.com/direct/bt-2200-trio-cordless-home-phone/715-9851.prd?source=others
Marked up as 35 in mine, but scanned with the app and it said £10.
Yes, good buy, also found the BT3540 Twin with Answer Machine in Motherwell Branch for £10. Some prices of the same sale items were actually dearer in Wishaw B&M
Thanks for that. Have added to title so anyone local can take advantage :)
It was the Pontefract store. I didn't actually buy them as I managed to get the BT 8600 Quad set for £30 a few weeks ago.
Bargain! You struck lucky there
Just got one today, priced at £45 scanned at £27. Edinburgh Longstone store. Only one in reduced section.
Just managed to find one!! I wasn’t going to go hunting for these, as I thought they would be few and far between. However, I was passing a Sainsburys, so decided to have a quick look. There was one left - probably because it was still priced at £45 - but when I took it to the till, it scanned at £27, as suggested by the OP. Looks like there are still some out there, so I hope you get lucky too.
I know what you mean. I'm beginning to wonder if they ever existed. Mind you l did see the stickers on the shelves at the Haringey store a few weeks ago, needless to say it was bare.
I’m still on the look out for one of these deals. Anyone know if stock around London?
I was just in my local Tesco and picked this up at that price I could not say no. Also we’ve been getting those BT Indian scam merchants phoning about 3-4 times per day. This has nuisance blocking built in. Virgin Media wanted to charge me £2.25 pm to block nuisance calls which I declined. At this price I’m quids in as long as it works. I get tired of blowing a whistle down the phone at those BT Indian scammers. I thought it might be s return but it’s never been opened. 8)
Agree 100% that's why I found it funny.
Huh?. I'd have thought any sales representative of any said brand would have some kind of understanding/clue of what the store offer's/sells, etc? (and/or visa versa?, or ... ) :-( That's kinda half of the whole customers service experience thing too, right?, hehehehehe. I could be wrong?, lol. :-D
That's a shame, I was about to bite for one of these :-( Thanx for that head's up still. :-)
We are not in North Korea snowflake get over it it was a joke :/
I wish we could ban people with facetious, proactive, confrontational, comments like this. It's everything hot uk deals isn't about.
pretty good spot op! hot.
Well most people have a landline please open Since it's kinda forced Not all WiFi companies offer Broadband without the phone line Even when they do not have a phone line in the package it may even cost more then if you did have a phone
I don't use mine but have to have it with Sky. And it does what it days on the tin... No cold callers (nerd)
Yeah you’re right they would use a bang and olufsen phone.
Yeah done that. Max volume is 5... Speaker phone is decent but earpiece is mediocre. I've kept them, but wouldn't buy again
Stupid question but, have you tried turning up the volume while on the call? We have some BT phones (not the same as these) And they were quiet until you turn it up.
3 handsets, wow! Atleast you won’t miss the thrice daily call from that robot that thinks you’ve been in an accident recently :D
Bt8600 is the same as this except for a redesigned base and is a few quid cheaper on Amazon.
There's no need for the snark irrespective of whether or not this is a repost.
None in Leicester Hamilton
Last week and now, the Tesco extra near me is still doing the single for £30 and quad for £60
nothing around northants...shame you cant do click and collect to search stores
You can make calls on an iPhone? No way!
POTS = plain old telephone service https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plain_old_telephone_service
what does POTS stand for in this instance, please
Love the Indian scammers when I have the free time to give them a rough ride.
That's a pretty amazing price considering what I think we paid for our similar ones a few years ago. Wonder how long these landline phones will be around. I'm just debating with the family whether we actually need ours anymore.
Fyi there is no loud speaker on these if your elderly and need that function.
Hard lined phones (not ones that rely on a mains connection e.g. cordless) will always work, the exchanges provide the miniscule amount of power necessary through backup diesel gensets. If you've got a line rental anyway, and a lot of people still have an old phone in the loft they're not a bad backup.
1) That's a line rental for a thing I'll only use in that edge case - the only people to call me are marketers or the ISP. 2) Who the hell am I going to call if there's an outage? "Oh hey mum, power's out - fancy a chat about sod all?" Screw that. If there's a massive mast outage and I want to reach out and touch someone I'll go up the road or do any one of a dozen things that doesn't involve inflated line rental. Oh... also do phones these days still work if there's a power outage? Don't they affect the phone system these days because of infrastructure changes?
Im not sure if this really looks cool though. Maybe in 1988. I’m thinking of getting one of those micro phones they have in jail. They look like a wee doll’s phone and are quite cool looking. Apparently I have 2 delivery choices.... - by drone - from the back passage........
Out of stock. Expired
Cold. "Beware of fake branded SSD and other computer components on eBay etc. Always buy from authorised retailer where possible."
No answerphone - I'm out. (and you can't leave a message....)
I deal for use with a VoIP ATA.
voted hot but there cant be many people using home phones any more, with mobile contracts becoming so cheap these days, it doesn't make any sense to use the landline.
I have the previous generation of these - they are great, and have 'speakerphone' function (you can place it on the desk/in base unit) and speak without holding it!
