I just bought the last double set for £21.99 in London today.
Good deal, pity I've just bought the Gigaset ones from Currys. The double set of these is even better value at only £21.99 https://www.argos.co.uk/product/6148753
Got these last time they were posted. They're a bit difficult to set up and when you get voice mail you have to press several buttons to hear them. Looks nice though.
I suppose they’re cheap as not many people use landlines anymore so little demand for handsets
Thought it was a foot rest
Does anyone know if these have an intercom feature to allow phone to phone calls in house? Thanks
Well it's what my dad has asked for, for his Birthday so... he can have these :D Very cheap for a 3 set.
True. I hardly use our landline but when I have to use our current phones which need replacing they could do with being a bit louder.
No idea... bought them today, not arrived yet. To be honest, hardly ever use landline... just needed something "in case". Reasonable reviews... as long as I can tell what they are saying not fussed about sound quality, don't expect to be talking on them too long.
Thanks. Even cheaper today when bought from Currys on ebay and using the 10% off code (y)
Thanks, ordered these for my parents, who still like backup of a land line in addition to their mobile phones. Cheap and cheerful is all that's needed! 🔥 (y)
How good/well does the nuisance call blocking work? Is there a limit to how many numbers you can block?
We use the older model a420 for business. Battery easily lasts 2 days with at least 30 calls per day. Don't know how it compares to this newer one.
Agreed. Not recommended.
Pretty good price for these. We got the advanced ones (black and white screen) for £35 from Amazon warehouse, looked brand new just repackaged but in original box IIRC. Only thing that's odd with ours is you can only add a number to blocklist or delete whole list, you can't seem to view what numbers you have already, same with whitelist. Also took me a while to input the 60 odd numbers from Sky talk shield :)
Triple handset pack is also a good price at £79.99
welcome @writerbargain as a newbie i personally would like to welcome you to hukd.great place to post.loads of friendly people who will answer questions and post nice things on your posts.hope you post many more deals like this.hot from me. :)
Good deal for anyone who still uses landline phones..... must admit mine is only ever used for 0800 numbers now.
Not anything to brag about mate, please try harder!:D Seriously though HUKD comments taught me the difference between There and Their so don't deny advice (y)
No, keen gardener. I see what u mean though. Maybe I will zoom out a little. It has been that way for years and no one has said anything.
I gathered ... But by the way it was coyly 'arranged' I assumed it was deliberate, etc?. In a sly attempt to make it rather look like a ... (cough cough), lol. It's cool. :-)
It's a rose !
Kzlbfx .. on a 'similar note', I'm mad curious as to the 'symbolism' of that profile picture of yours?. Hahahahahahahaha. Or shouldn't I ask?, lol. ;-)
Does it have speakerphone? Can't see anything in the details.
Can anyone confirm how many rings / length of time before the answer phone kicks in? http://btsupport.custhelp.com/ci/fattach/get/4826283/1472812545/redirect/1/session/L2F2LzEvdGltZS8xNTM4NDk5MDU5L3NpZC94M1VaeWZZbg==/filename/3233 BT3560 UG .pdf Answer Delay - 2-9 Rings. Thanks All
The online code now is: TELOCT18
Most people I know end up turning the call blocking functions as its too much of a pain (for instance, elderly relatives not receiving calls from the hospitals for appointments).
It's reduced to £27.99 now anyway so I just ordered it without the discount codes.
Mobile Phone's, and Cordless Phone's, even though yes, both are using 'Wireless Technologies', etc. They're technically not the same thing ... As one needs to link with an external Phone Mask - which can arguably be several hundreds of miles away right? (where things like the Scottish hill's, electric storm's and all the rest of of it could easily have a MASSIVE 'input' into the clarity of the technology. Whereas the other simply links into the external Phone Exchange directly!, via your existing Telephone' source' already in your house, right? (with notably a much limited 'wireless window' to go with it? - in relation to the example of that of the previous ... ) So in contrast, less likely for thing's to go wrong in bad reception area's in the home, etc, that's all?. Though ofcourse I'm not discounting the fact that it still could obviously, all I was trying to put forward before was, it was probably less likely to on account of some of the thing's I stated before, etc?, that's it.
What do you mean actually????
"I live in an area with not one of the greatest mobile reception." Not quite the same thing though?. A Cordless House Phone in the house, and a Mobile Phone in the same house, will definitely be not piggybacking off the back of the same 'Mobile Receiver' ... The 'Base Receiver' for the Cordless Phone will only be it's own base that's hardwired into your own house telephone line at home, and nothing else?. So 'culpability' (as it were), is both figuratively, and literally limited ... Whereas the whole Mobile Phone thing on the other hand is blatantly an animal on a different level basically?. As we're talking it needing to interfere with an 'external source' not necessarily linked to you in anyyyyyyway (unless of course you're going to now tell me you have a Mobile Phone Telephone Mask hardwired into your house?). On account of things like that, will be where your above stated 'reception issues' will actually apply ... On account of such things obviously being anything from just a few metres away, to several meters away, to possibly several hundred meters away even? - depending on which end of nowhere any one individual happens to actually live, etc?). But in general, there's pretty much pro's and con's with anything basically?.
True true, but you forget now ... The 'Age of Internet' has arrived?. My Parent's land line these Day's are pretty much used mainly for incoming land line calls (as they rarely make land line calls themselves), but they do however use the Internet wayyyyyy more though ... Their Phone's are connected to it via WiFi (for literally unlimited Internet when they're indoors), as well as for Internet usage in general (for the various Computer item's + Tablet's connected to it as well at the same time). And allllllll with unlimited Internet access on there too, etc?. So in answer to your above predicament, it's a yes, I couldn't agree with you more, lol, but saying all that, it blatantly depends on one's own usage quota/requirements for either needing one?, and/or not so altogether, or whatever ... So, each one to their own, and all that?.
I haven't used a land line for over 3 years now, the calls and connection charges are considerably more expensive than a mobile.
Yup! I don't think they get enough stock in to justify an email alert.
Cheers (y) Edit: is it me or have they disabled the 'Email me' buttons?
Fyi, envirofone now have every oneplus listed as Oos. Which means, they will have some to list sometime soon. Keep an eye out.
Well in-store you can see the cosmetics which are a good approximation of age and how it’s been treated and I would hope they’ve done the testing beforehand. CeX are particularly bad at sending any old junk out and leaving you to deal with the consequences later on - and it’s usually because they let anyone have a franchise. Corporate stores tend to be better. Franchisees can range from top-notch to ‘worse than your average corner shop mobile phone case retailer’.
Good price but too big..looking for an S9 minus
Does anyone know, based on previous years. When the "new" price for the Plus version will drop? Does it take a few weeks or months after the launch of a new Note for the price to drop? Thanks.
Only "Good" left. This is the third level down and the one above "Acceptable" "These devices are in good condition. There will be some minor signs of wear and tear on the screen and casing. The previous owner didn’t use a case or screen protector as they weren’t too bothered about minor marks. This device has been fully tested to ensure it is in full working order."
Me too, but needs must. :o :)
That stresses me out just looking at it on your phone! (:I
How else am I gonna find great deals ;)
The only thing I noticed in that screenshot is the 29 open tabs. You monster! (cheeky)
Only 1 in stock again lolGood price though
Coupon not valid :(
The point that you seem unable to grasp though, is that for many people wifi calling and/or standard mobile calls aren't an option (hence why so many people still have a landline). Asking questions like "why does anyone need a landline" is either seriously dumb or trolling. It's blatantly obvious why...
Here I was thinking it did! ;(
I collected my 4 piece quad set this morning. I telephone local store before closing last night they didn't have them but they were able to tell me of other local stores that had them in stock - quick phone call, and they were put away for me. Thanks op.
care to translate to something understandable then? 'It you posted at the same time as the op post,f you was not dithering you would have seen'
Good to hear. Nice to know that their quality assurance/quality hasn't gone to pot after the many Decade's of this same Brand. :-)
Sorry, so you enter your HOME Broadband at Home, how again exactly?. What am I missing ... hehehehehehe.
How does this call blocker feature work exactly ??
yes it is
says it's out of stock
Great find!! awesome timing phone at home is dead, BTW same price at John Lewis but with a 2 years warranty
Update .... Just offered as elsewhere in this thread - Entertainment £11 Hd £1 Kids £1 Boxsets £1 Multiroom £12 (2minis) Total £26 a month 12 months contract. On Sky Q Silver UHD multroom (called sky Q experience now)
I'm paying £64.31 for TV Variety and unlimited Max Fibre. The TV variety is £33.50 on its own and seems like a right rip off. Considering the freesat now....
Been with sky 20 years. Gave notice to cancel on Sept 14th due to being too expensive on the 25th I was offered - £11.00 Sky Entertainment (£14 discount) £2.50 HD Pack (£2.50 discount) £2.50 Box Sets (£2.50 discount) £2.50 Kids (£2.50 discount) £12.00 Multi-room (2 mini boxes) Total £30.50 per month. I’m on Sky Q Silver with 2 mini boxes. Is this deal any good? I have heard they are offering the packs for £1, but they don’t seem to discount multi-room. In previous years we have had deals of 75% off and 60% off but they don’t seem to work on % discount these days.
If only everyone believed me from the get go (highfive)
I managed to get that deal too.
Ordered dual ones
Highly recommend, they are abit light but great value for money
Best cordless house phone i have ever bought...superb!
You can earn the extra nectar points on this. These any good?
Would of thourt that be obvious but ok cool
Good price, currently the same at Amazon, Currys and Argos too, but I guess you don't get the two years with them. :)
Leah thankyou (embarrassed) (y)
Heat added (highfive)
looks like it yes.
Showing as £89.99 on website, has this finished?
I have the S850A/H they are fantastic as I'm sure the ones the op posted are. Very good sound quality even on loud speaker, good signal, I can walk quite a long way from the base, good battery life, easy to use, caller ID support good volume. Mine also support Bluetooth, VOIP etc and get notifications of missed calls and answer phone messages to my mobile (although my landline rings my mobile also). I could continue but just take my word for it. Gigaset are great phones. Heat from me as a bargain at this price! P.s. I live in the middle of nowhere so not bothered about the supposed security issues. Anyone hacking my phone would just get bored to death from junk voicemails!
So if someone got passed security what could they actually do... I thought the device only allows VoIP calls externally, not remote access to the admin side of the system, unless you enable that, so unless someone was on my local network they can't do much, or can they?
These look very similar to my set of Siemens Gigaset C595 which I bought in 2010 to replace a Panasonic set still under warranty. Excellent voice quality. Design seems rather sturdy, dropped quite a few times on laminate flooring but not a chip yet, on phone or floor. Last year had to buy new rechargeable batteries for both handsets. Grab a set while you can.
