Because the owner has morals and he refuses to based on Sunday been a family day. Not every business owner is greedy.
They're a Christian family owned and run business, their profit isn't the be all an end all. (they also don't stock Harry Potter stuff, nor Halloween stuff - all for "black magic" reasons. Bizarre, considering the Jesus parallels in Potter, and Halloween is all about warding off evil spirits - though it is a tad Pagan...)
I know I've always found it crazy the amount of missed footfall traffic they must have from not opening Sundays. I would expect Sunday sale who usually account for a high percent of takings in other toy stores.
The owner is religious, and says it’s a day for family. I have much respect for him for doing it even on Christmas Eve when it was a Sunday. Shows he values his morals and staff more than money.
Can't understand a toy shop closed on a Sunday. Lots of sales advantages especially on indoor shopping centres .Good for staff though.
