Metroid : Samus Returns £22.99 Amazon Prime Exclusive

Sigh... is this the best price we're ever going to get for this game (FYI I know Nintendo games take a *long* time to go down in price)? I think this should have been a £20 game a… Read more

I hope it isn't. Still got loads of 3DS games to play. Still got Wii U and Wii games to play lol. Don't have a switch yet and such a bag log of games to play, heh. Guess it doesn't matter if they don't release many new games for it. There seems to be a sweet spot for prices though. Wii U is getting hard to get things for now. Rarer and more expensive.

Great game no matter what system it’s on! Heat!

£20, £15, and even £10 at Smyths Toys a good few months ago

Here's a video of the Mario unboxing - cable included :)

I think given that it says that on a new line its probably something separate. It says the cable is included in the main description also

Yeah but in brackets it says not included.

they do state they come with an 8ft cable

I don’t actually think this is a great price for this game but it is the cheapest price it’s ever been on the eShop and it’s relatively hard to find in stores now

So limited theres a few cheaper than yours really fair go trying to sell it for that but your clearly on the wrong place to advertise it.

First come first served (y) 🏽 Both brand new and completely sold out as they were a special limited release

It's just not a "true" Metroid title, no exploration it's linear and to the point. You can heal while standing still (lol) music is boring unlike older games, story is a bit messy and imo the boss fights were more irritating than fun. But at least it's a Metroid with cutscenes and both 2D and 3D action :P

Nice find.. but oos😥

A much misaligned and unappreciated Wii game. Yes, not up with the likes of Super Metroid or Prime, but an excellent addition to the series.

I never understood the beef with this game, I thought it was decent, def worth this price

Not sure this will get a ton of love. Argos has been giving this away in bundles for yonks. I can recall at least 2 occasions where I've activated a deal which gave away this or quiz party with what I bought, neither of which bore any relation to my purchase. It was being sold for this price back then also. Maybe some niche interest for sealed collectors. May be worth picking up for that reason alone as it's definitely an under rated gem from that console.

I just picked up one from Charlton for £15 - they have a couple more marked as clearance. Not bought from Smyths before, they don't come sealed as the cartridges were behind the counter.

I asked someone I know, who was going to be near one of the stores. I received no reply so thought my message had gone unseen. Later on I had a surprise when I heard they had got me one (embarrassed)

Ah I didn't notice it was in-store, as an agoraphobic it wouldn't have been much use to me anyway lol.

Sound awesome! I prob will have to buy a few. Is there a list of what amiibo unlocks what in a specific game?

Two main reasons people buy are: 1-They look cool, so are collectible and will likely make good antiques years from now 2-they contain NFC tags which when scanned on WiiU/3DS/Switch, you get in game DLC/costumes/maps/challenges/points depending on the game Some games it can unlock whole new sets of gear, characters and even extra challenges or maps Really depends on the game used on Hopefully that answers your question haha

Looks cool but can someone tell me what is the point of Amiibo’s?

Cheer :)

I was stating a fact and the number one etiquette on forums of reading OPs properly, not calling anyone out. I've now realized my mistake in that it was taken personally and that reading the OPs properly isn't required. Sorry. The only one who shoudl have been offended btw was the one who couldnt read. At no point was I claiming there shouldn't be banter or jokes made

my bad, I should have just picked fault with the English used in the post we are discussing as per the norm, or had some Wii U banter. Lucky you didn't spell it out more clearly OP as the above is preferable it seems

Look I didn’t want to comment on this but it’s gotten a bit ridiculous. Its just become a series of comments saying you are wrong over and iver again. Reddagon made a jokey comment about the wii u and that’s it. Parabolica is just saying that the joke doesn’t work because of my explanation that it’s a new game. Can one of you just call it quits as I didn’t really mind the joke but the discussion about the jokes gone on for too long.

"I wasn't picking a battle" Why did you say anything, then? I make a jokey comment in response to something someone else said and you butted in going on about idiots not reading the OP properly and not keeping the threads clean. You didn't have to say anything at all, but you chose to - that's picking a battle. I'm feeling more defensive than argumentative about it, because most threads on this website are light hearted and conversational and people are allowed to make jokes without being mini modded, so I'm trying to defend what I wrote and I'm not really taking it personally beyond wondering why you called out my post in particular because you don't seem to have a history of doing this to other people.

I think you need to have a cup of tea. I wasn't picking a battle. Idiots should be encouraged in the first place to read the OPs properly, not encouraged to post in order to create a couple of extra posts for the sake of banter, or have their stupid posts speculated over. Which is what happened. If you want to take that personally that's your problem. I know there's far worse and I couldn't care less about the mods not caring. Your argumentative attitude belongs on twitter, where this would indeed go on for ever as a battle. "and HUKD threads are hardly a paragon of a reliable information source (I certainly have never referred back to an old HUKD thread because I wanted information on a game - it would probably be the last place I checked!)" Many people learnt here recently of the ability to mod the NES and SNES classics that were posted here and those threads contain information of where to look for the files and appear in google searches. Going way back there was a deal for a Dell Vostro 1500, the thread became massive with tips on upgrades leading to the OP to create a webpage/blog on tearing it apart. That thread and its OP remained the biggest source of information for that Laptop for that era. Also the Dell Mini 9 thread here years ago introduced many people into hakintosh PCs with useful references. These are stand out examples. There have also been a lot of useful tips on Halogen oven and Airfryers that will come up on google. One thing this community has in common is being for people who want to save money and do things on the cheap so well worth searching with HUKD in search terms. Otherwise you end up with forum posts that are often hyper-critical or obsessive. Hardly surprising someone who has no problem with idiots not reading OPs, or posters speculating on those idiots and thinks it's all a good source of banter, doesn't give any value to the information shared here.

Yup exactly my thoughts, I think this is as close to rrp that we will ever get on certain amiibos. I also really want both the Bayonetta variants and Cloud variants but I'm not paying some scalping knob £50 for Bayonetta haha. I have a weird feeling we will see some Bayonetta amiibos at rrp because of the upcoming port, I may be wrong but I can dream

Sweet! I don't like paying too much for Amiibo but can't see these dropping and missed out on them originally.

I know Metronidazole has a long history now, but I don't believe it an overly popular Nintendo franchise, the games are usually average quality.
