If this had a headphone jack, I'd be ALL OVER IT switchy.
I have a galaxy s10lite looking for something upto £270 that's an upgrade. Any suggestion
Ah we have to root the phone. I would probably stick with the spare GOogle Pixel phone to backup when needed :). Thanks for the link though.
Went with the excellent condition for 214.99
Device name spoofing: Edit the following build.prop entries: ro.product.manufacturer=Google ro.product.brand=Google ro.product.model=Pixel5 Then reboot and reset the google apps (Play Services, Play Store, Google Photos, Google, ...). Maybe you have to wait a few days. Best if you make a hard copy of your photos every now and again just in case.
Imo the better CPU to be had. 888 runs hot and zaps battery pointlessly imo.
The Poco F3 has the worst camera of midrange phones. Even the Poco X3 and the mi10t lite of last year have more decent cameras, and they were cheaper and were in a lower category.
I’ve been using the F3 for a couple of days, as my work phone, my main phone is iPhone 12 Pro Max and it’s stunning for £244. The display is vibrant, much more than the iPhone. Blisteringly quick. Video playback from the likes of Netflix and Disney + is as good as you get with real Dolby Atmos sound. Of course the camera isn’t as good as the iPhone but it’s the fifth of the price
I preferred the first incarnation of your post before you edited it. I wasn't implying you were implicit in the bragging, it's merely just a turn of phrase.
This is some BS and I'm a Xiaomi guy, maybe they reviewed different OP, not many phones over £200 have worse camera than the F3. Edit: image samples here https://www.tomsguide.com/uk/reviews/oneplus-nord-2xxxc
Never miss a 'OnePlus Nord' deal again!

It arrived today! Really pleased that it came with a case as there isn't much (any) choice on Amazon or eBay. Bit disappointing that it didn't come with a USB C to aux adaptor but they are pretty cheap. Also no Stadia but maybe that's coming separately.
I've seen video footage of the Nord 2 in low light and compared to what I seen this week on the Poco F3 in much more challenging conditions they are in the same league. The main on the Nord 2 is the ultra wide from the OP9 and combined with OP's heavy crop for stabilisation it isn't great.
Yes thanks but whilst some improvement it’s merely minor unfortunately. Xiaomi CS did suggest there will be camera improvements in MIUI but couldn’t commit to a date be it Q4 or Q1 22. Such a shame whilst Id have been happy with mediocre but the camera really is p*ss poor out with full day light. From what I can see think it’s better (for me/my usage) to spend more for Nord 2 5G. Main camera should meet my needs
I always thought the objective of this site was to save money on MRSP's, it looks like I must be wrong. :/
The usual I would say, OP have always liked big numbers.
Anyone know where you can get a genuine Oneplus charger/cable apart from Oneplus. So far ive only managed to buy chinese fakes from sbay and other outlets.
Despite the heavy decline of Huawei. OP's share in Europe has increased by 1% and if Huawei was in the game it would be where it normally is nowhere. OP have doubled their portfolio to increase by 1%. Realme have caught and surpassed OP in no time at all, hence the merger of a company you already own and setup, etc. Every man and his dog has reported their race is run so what agenda do I have? This only a reshell the Neo is by far better, reviewers even say Color OS is better too. (y)
https://www.gsmarena.com/counterpoint_half_of_midrangers_sold_in_europe_support_5g_but_huaweis_departure_increased_prices-news-50062.php Their increased market share in Europe in the midrange market says otherwise, if oneplus was truly dead then surely their sales would shrink? Oh wait that doesnt fit with your agenda The facts are simple, even if you are not a fan of oneplus they are not "the end of the road" when their sales keep increasing YOY in multiple markets, https://www.pcmag.com/news/analyst-oneplus-nord-phones-blowing-up-at-metro-by-t-mobile And in North America they seem to be selling their dreadful N series quite well at t-mobile, so not quite "end of the road" (y) Bye!
The Nord 2 with a D1200 and the imx 766 (same sensor as oppo find x3 pro) might be interesting if priced right But these N series phones aren't worth anyones time imo, launched on android 10 and only getting 11 is a joke, its clear that the N series is aimed towards NA where they can push crappier phones to americans due to lower competiton there, they didnt even bother launching the N200 outside US/Canada so that pretty much confirms what the N series is targeting
Which this are you referring to?
They never found their way for me, to much hype and not enough foucing on the product. When you essentially make 1 or 2 phones per year you shouldn't have the volume of issues they did. Still they have done what OPPO formed them to do and that was to open a gateway to the western markets. From the day OPPO formed Realme, OP's days were numbered.
Would this be considered an upgrade to the p30 pro?
Thanks again, sorry to be a pain again... Are you referring to the OnePlus Nord CE 5G? It's just that having a quick Google for "Pixel 4a alternatives", a lot of well known tech websites are referring to the OnePlus Nord as it's direct competitor. But this seems a fair bit older than the CE? See link below https://m.gsmarena.com/oneplus-phones-95.php What are your thoughts on the Nord vs the Nord CE?
Suits me just right! Currently on the F1 and want a change to Oneplus.
Disregarding camera, most OnePlus from the CE upwards compete.
Are the experts actively trying to post worse deals? Why on earth pay this much for a Chinese import with long shipping, limited warranty/pretty much none when the UK offical price is just £40 more with proper 2 year warranty
I'd like to know too. Google searches seem to suggest all EU purchases after 1 July 2021 have VAT added already on AliExpress but not sure if that applies to the UK as well. Any Ali Express Experts on here (AliExprerts)
Will the battery last as long as OP say or have they lied again.
I don't remember flagship spec'd phones, I remember flaship SOC's, mediocrity and hype. .OPO poor screens, internal storage, buggy os, touch issues, etc .OP2 disowned by its maker touch issues grounding, etc.OPX disowned by its maker touch issues grounding, SD slot couldn't even read a standard formatted card on release, etc .OP3 poor screens, grounding , touch issues focus issues, etc. .OP3T poor screens, touch issues, bootloops, etc .OP5 Jelly, touch issues, grounding, electric shocks, etc And on and on and on. Fast forward to 2021 and the fans are not happy.Warp charging issues.Camera issues.UI LAGetc.Yeah so not a lot has changed over the years, hence the front man ( Carl ) has moved on and Pete is back in his no 2 chair he left to start up Oneplus. (annoyed) They came , they saw and they didn't conquer. (cheeky) I picked up an unmarked Amazon returned 8T for £225 so this has to be cold.
When OnePlus first started, they had flagship spec'd phones for a cheaper price. So they're tagline was 'Never Settle', so you didn't have to settle for less. Over the last year or two, they have been raising their prices of flagships and now their tagline looks quite stupid. Still make great phones though.
Yeah, I get certain amounts of heat or cold for voting.
Is this a real thing? I assumed it was because when you clicked + or - someone else might have voted at the same time and it only refreshes the heat then!
After all these years I still don't know what they mean by Never Settle. Do they mean never settle for less? Or is it something else?
Yes it was ( French version ) as above with only difference EU plug, here is that deal https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/oneplus-nord-blue-marble-12gb256gb-ps32335-at-amazon-3734308?utm_source=mappshare&utm_medium=referral&utm_content=3734308&utm_campaign=2021-06-22
i dont know anything about smart phones but ordered this one after reading reviews. Thanks
What would be better: this, or the Motorola G8 Power for £109 with a free Chromecast, also at John Lewis? https://www.johnlewis.com/motorola-g8-power-smartphone-android-4gb-ram-6-4-inch-4g-lte-sim-free-64gb/smoke-black/p4903685
sorry the john lewis free nest audio deal has expired now I'm afraid.
The X3 Pro Which is actually the device I mentioned and not the X3 has the SD860 and 120hz and kills the SD765 and the 90 hz of the Nord stone dead. Even My old K30 5G was better than the Nord at the cost of £175. This is still a seriously overpriced phone, even the X3( That You Mentioned) is better value at the keen pricing seen in recent months.
Poco X3 is better where it really matters? Like what? It has a slow response time LCD and a slower chipset. Those things are quite important.
Bought this one for a little less for the French version on amazon last week, really like the phone :) Doesn't have expandable storage, but 256GB should be more than enough for anyone. Battery life is a little shorter than I'd like (still a day and a half on a single charge, and the warp charge is very quick though), but not a massive deal breaker. Apart from that, very smooth, perfect performance, great camera. Really can't see any reason to spend any more on a phone
Well that's is with the CE out there is very little chance of seeiing this below £300 The Poco X3 Pro is almost half the price of and better where it really matters. The 8/256 Poco F3 is cheaper and better. The Find X2 lite with the same SOC is half the price. That makes this very cold for me.
