£13.99 in Smyths still, managed to order for click and collect to my local

For the record, my order was cancelled and refunded 2 days after this. Must have been a glitch that it let me order.

...and now it’s £13.49 again, albeit temporarily OOS.

Ordered but got an email saying my delivery will be delayed. Probably not gonna turn up at all

Must have been a mad rush, it's now not showing on the website at all. I kept getting an error when trying to add to basket but now it's disappeared. Will be keeping an eye on it to see if it comes back though!

Heat for price but still a product severely lacking support by Sony unless you're into VR, bought one when it released fully expecting some form of video chat to be implemented but still not yet all these years later.

Even the £30 new is a decent price

The people who have ordered this, does it all come together all at once or like tesco do they deliver the console first and the rest of the stuff comes later?

Everywhere doing the deal is out of stick now (argos, game etc)...anyone aware of somewhere else providing a similiar deal?

Does anyone know if game ship everything for delivery all at once? Tesco ps4 bundle came first with the console, then with the game then another game. One game and one console was signed for, had to go and pick up the game because no one was in to sign. The other game arrived through the letterbox. Very strange. Does game send them all in the same parcel all at once? Experienced answers would be much appreciated.

True but consoles have never worked on the same pricing structure as PCs. As a general rule of thumb, accessories and games are cheaper on PC than consoles for the same thing, however it is then down to the user to make sure they have the right computer to work with those things. A new game comes out, you might have graphics incompatibility and need to drop £200 on a new card as yours is no longer supported by the manufacturer, or wait for as long as it takes for the graphics card manufacturer or the game developer to release a patch, if you are in a small minority of people with your exact configuration getting the problem, you could be out of luck. A new accessory and it might be incompatible with the chipset of your motherboard, which coincidentally might have been one of the most expensive ones on the market. On a console though it has to 'just work' when they release it, if it doesn't it is then down to Sony to make it work. This is one of the many excuses they use to justify the pricing, along with the fact that historically the markup on consoles has been very slim, often sold at a loss at launch to recoup costs with licensing on accessories and games. The world we are in today is a bit different, but that pricing disparity remains at the moment. Until people just flat out refuse to buy something, it won't drop drastically in price, but then would we want it to? A sudden price drop would suggest a lack of faith in the experiences available and coming to sell it at the price point they want, consumers might actually be scared off if there were a sudden drastic price drop.

All good points. Definitely if you're interested in VR then get the system that's best for you. I have a PS4 but bought a gaming rig with VR in mind a few years ago (obviously in the minority there). My point was simply to compare pricing strategies. At this point in time VR needs to be getting to as many people as possible, the quality of hardware and software on the Oculus front compared to Sony at the moment is prob comparable between flagship versus budget phones. I suppose another way at looking at it, £600 min, say £800 for a fairly decent gaming rig for VR. You've then got £400 for complete VR package, 50% compared to PC. That seems OK, especially when people will spend £250 and up for a display. Whereas PS4Pro is £350 (I think). How many people are going to over double that investment?

showing oos for me.

Another point on this deal is that farpoint is more like no point without the gun.. even with the gun it's a crap shooter but the gun is great once you get used to the controls :)

Sorry but this is freezing IMHO. I think the RRP is £40 so you are saving all of £3 and some pence. I believe this was as low as £20 odd in the fairly recent Amazon Warehouse promotion where two 20% off discounts got applied. I know time machine and all, but if I was looking for one of these right now I'd chance eBay for a bigger saving, since they have the 30 day money back guarantee there really isn't any risk anyway....

The Amazon description offers in depth information, if you note the last point if youre a ps4 user.

These have any use beyond VR headset?

Good shout, the only thing Id say to that, is that would cost around £400 where this is cheaper

There's a new vr headset coming out soon.. Might be worth waiting :/

Really, there are some great deals on ebay. Some dude is selling PSVR, camera, move controllers and 5 games for £399. Worth the extra few £ for the games imo

And play one of the million wave shooters... Yes, I started on PSVR and the experience made me want a Vive... and yes I was blown away by the image quality, Room scale, precision etc... I have not played anything on PC that beats Rush of Blood (a wave shooter which is a Steam staple). I'll also go back to immersion.. When you move about with a headset and controllers you KNOW where you are, playing a cool game. On the PSVR in the seated games you can more easily get lost in world and forget. Love the both, PSVR is great.

Unfortunately I neither have the time nor the money anymore for pc gaming after getting hitched and having 2 kids, when I game I need something to plug and play, not have to spend an hour setting up or fixing driver issues and spending £600 every year to have the highest spec.

Yes performance is definitely enhanced on the pro for VR.

Is this what’s needed for the vr please

It's not though, why I went back to V1.

:/ They didn't change the internal components or specs, they are in fact identical to the V1, they literally just changed the outside design of the casing and made it lighter. The tracking will be identical, as will the mics.

I got the V2 because I thought the tracking was poor on V1, but some how the V2 is even worse. The same goes for the Mics, I can have the V1 infant of my Speaker and it only picks me up, but the V2 picks up everything.

I just found that and came back to say "nevermind, found it". Thanks for taking the trouble to reply, though! It really is bottom of the barrel stuff left over. Saves me some money I suppose.. ;)

From the T&Cs page bud. Items displaying this double discount had a promo section on their pages like this... I just grabbed the link from this page.

Very naff now. But out of interest how did you get that link? Was it from a banner that they're not even bothering to advertise anymore (since the offers are still live but I can't see any mention of it anywhere) or is there a filter somewhere?

WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER! Beats Studio Wireless Over-Ear Headphones - Gloss Black £118.21 Brand new in the box, seals intact! "Condition: Used - Very Good - Minor cosmetic imperfection on the top or sides of the item. Minor cosmetic imperfection on the bottom or back of the item." I would say that description is overstating the tiny tiny scratch on the box that I can make out. Also got the turntable, box has been opened but the turntable has not been assembled, covering still over needle and sellotaped into place, never been removed. Can't test it for a few days so that will remain to be seen. Denon DP-200USB Turntable - Silver - £52.19 Only thing that was a fail was a 5m RCA phono extension cable I bought to resite my subwoofer. I received a 5m 1x phono to 2x phono - hmmm, might keep it for the sake of the £3.94 it was.

Yes, it can be quite imersive for first person games, but I generally stick to the TV for non-vr

You don’t need move controllers. They are only a requirement for a few games. Most work with the normal dualshock.

not for me as 1) you need move controllers (£49.99 in this deal) 2) this is £5 cheaper 3) RIGS is free on PS+ this month so therefore its a toss up between VR worlds and SSVR - which the latter is only £13.99 anyway vs £18 cheapest for VR Worlds.

Is this not a better deal at Game, think it is today only though?

You can, but unfortunately the video quality drops quite a bit.

Mate I'm with you - I got my VR last week from Prime Day, great price in mint condition and couldn't have been happier... until I tried it on and felt that sick feeling in the pit of my stomach, like when I'm riding in the backseats, or on a flight...and that was with pretty basic motion onscreen. Enjoyed the the theatre mode to some degree but the screen resolution is really noticeable when not in vr mode, and I've got an annoying screen tilt issue and quite a bit of blur on the edges. On the whole I'd say its definitely far from perfect, but really fun at moments. I'll be keeping mine until the inevitable next one comes out, but only because I felt I had such a good deal, but no way would recommend it at full price. Good luck with your auction, shouldn't be a hard sell if its barely used :)

My bad thanks for poiting out the mistake. I would edit it but it's not allowing me to do so at the moment.

Yeah, I'm going to eBay the lot. VR isn't my thing at all. Tried it, loved it but couldn't game in it.

I have 5 of them and I'm sure I got a few of them from Cex for about £7 a while back! Like you said, look what they cost now for the exact same tech... :/

Yep it is shocking, especially considering the move controllers are just the same as the original 2010 PS3 ones, no improvements whatsoever so your paying top dollar for 2010 tech. Heck for all we know they might be the same old stock from 2010 Sony never managed to shift last time round so potentially costing Sony zero yet costing £70+ to buy....

I can't be the only one appalled that a PS4 camera and two move controllers are essentially costing £100?

i think there's a fair number of us. I have a camera. it came with my launch day ps4 bundle. Then there are all the people who use them for streaming. Sony have a psvr bundle in the US so I'm surprised they haven't announced anything over here.

I wonder how many people already have the camera? Can't see that there was much use for it because there wasn't really a lot of stuff that required it. Even with the PS3 a lot of people might have already bought the PS3 Eye for Move or some of the AR Games but with PS4 Move support was practically non-existent until PSVR came along and I don't think there was much (if any) in the way of AR titles. It would make sense to offer an all-in-one pack option rather than have people plugging their PSVR in only to find that they also need a camera (and maybe a move controller too to get the best experience). But excluding camera and move keeps the headline price lower, which I suspect is the main reason.

The old version is still out there. I have one. It's useless.

on mobile it's just a huge list broken down into sections... ;)
