similar experience for me, i bought a pair having always bought hunters when tescos direct closed down, kept in the box in the garage for 6 months till the winter, they cracked and split in 6 months from daily winter dog walking. i contacted their customer services who just said Tescos werent a registered seller which i dont believe. i bought a pair of Skellerup Quatro Sport Wellingtons which i have to say are much more comfortable and warmer than any hunters i ever had and are lasting well so far. they have proper footbeds and are insulated neoprene so well worth the money. only think id mention is that they do come up quite big.
Wife currently has green Hunters which we reckon are 30+ years old. Inner sock finally rubbed through and a new pair needed but keep reading that new (Chinese made) ones are hopeless.
My original hunters lasted >5 years but last pair lasted less than a year. For their replacement I bought Aigle instead and they are far better and probably closer to Hunters of old .
Poor quality now - I always buy Aigle now as much better quality. My last 2 pairs of Hunters lasted 12 months as used everyday but Aigles 2 years old & still look great.
If I’m correct I think I read years ago they used to be made in Scotland and the quality was excellent, then like everything else , moved it to China and since then gone downhill
Split in less than a month of just going for short walks during lunch
Why so much heat? I paid a tenner for these a while ago, and a few years ago too.
last pair of Dunlops leaked after not much use, decided to cough up for Muckboots, fantastic wellies
Best wellies I've ever had are "buck boots". I've had a pair of these and in the winter you'll need several pairs of socks as they have no insulation. Though extra socks are considerably cheaper than buck boots. I work in construction and when it's wet and cold the buck boots do the job, I'm in my third winter with them and they are still very good condition and they been tromping around muddy building sites, in concrete, ice and snow and in trench foundations.

Picked some up on my way to a weekend walk last weekend. 5 miles done straight after picking them up, very nice fit and comfy. I am size 9-9.5 depending on shoe type, so the 8.5-9.5 one is a great fit. Very warm as well! Thanks for posting.
I'm a size 10 so I'm thinking the 10.5 to 11 might be too big? Any size 10 people bought this size?
Ah, OK. The pair I bought don't have anything like that at all on them.
No the hunter logo, its terrible. Like literally terrible :)
Gutted no size 12 🥲
