One of the most ignorant comments I’ve ever read on here and that’s saying something. iPhones are similarly priced to equivalent model android phones (Galaxy and Pixel). New build houses can be the easiest and sometime only route first time buyers are able to take to get on the property ladder. Bose are known for quality and are not just priced high to rip people off. Can’t speak for BMWs as I know nothing about cars.

I dive an Audi and bought a new house 2 years ago (got a great deal on fixtures and fitting and house valued much more than I paid for it). I agree, I like quality too and its worth paying a little more but often you ban get better quality for ‘standard’ price by stopping around.

You don't always get what you pay for. For instance the JBL wireless speakers use LiPo batteries that fail after a while, as does the charging port on the Pulse 2 and possibly other models. Remember these are about twicr the price of the Anker speaker. The Anker Soundcore Boost is very well built, it may not be made of aluminium like the Soundlink Mini II, but has a very solid feel to it, certainly a big upgrade over their older A3143 Premium Bluetooth speaker which was very plasticy. And Anker's Lithium Ion battery tech is known for being very high quality and long lasting. I have no doubt that my Soundcore Boost will outlast my JBL Pulse 2, I solely bought the Pulse 2 for the lightshow despite it having average sound compared to the Anker.

I had some Anker headphones and the quality wasn't there. They failed after 6months. Replaced them with Bose ones 18 months ago and still going strong. You get what you pay for. It just depends what quality you want. Personally I don't think Anker will last years but that's not their pricepoint. If you replace/lose/damage/upgrade stuff then go for cheaper Anker you want things to last longer Bose is good value.

And it will only sound a quarter as good. I hear what you are saying about Bose equipment. However this is the exception, the Soundlink Mini II is an outstanding speaker and at this price it’s red hot.

Bose Mini Soundlink II - cheapest it’s ever been on Amazon - £129.99

Not true, this is 10 quid cheaper than everywhere except JL. The started price was around 239.

There is now Soundlink III as they have changed the designed completely for their latest speaker.

They had refurb stock of the mini v2 and new of the Revolve models. They said the mini v2 is no longer in production. I had chance to compare the two models although I didn't buy either from there, instead I managed to grab a new Revolve for £120 from Amazon just before Xmas.

Maybe so. But clearly they are wrong as it is still available form Bose. Maybe they had no stock and wanted you to buy something they did have.

Great sounding speaker but it's just not loud enough. I wouldn't buy one now.

They are great headphones - I bought them last year for £164 - just sold them for £80

How they compare to KOSS Porta Pro?

Just done this and JL have already price matched (on a bank holiday too - great customer service) so thank you for the tip. Much prefer to purchase from a company like JL...

Great idea. Thanks

This is a authorised Bose Reseller, all Bose products come with 2 year warranty as standard.

Not only that but they have average reviews. Personally I think the Beoplay S3 at £90 right now is an absolute steal; I think it will beat most small speakers below the £250 range.

(lol) yes, please do tell

Certainly it was from a HUKD post

Grey is still £169 list price.

As it says. Best price I can find !!!

For anyone interested I have just bought these from JL @ £169.95 and I can confirm they do price match to Home AV Direct which are on sale for £138.00 at the moment. Go go go

Good for you but I don’t. I’d rather know where it’s cheap now or going to be as I live in the now / future not past.

Which means that this is not as good as price as it could be, which is sort of the whole point of this website

I find it helpful to know that elsewhere an item was cheaper a few days ago.

How are home av direct as a retailer? What is their returns policy, anyone any experiences?

They don't sell series 2. Both Bose speakers in Costco are very old stock, SoubdLink Mini is ver 1 too. The colour one should be reduced below £50.

I also bought one a few weeks ago for similar price but that was the series 1, if you got the series 2 for that price that is a bargain? the series 2 has voice control and is waterproof, my series 1 doesnt have that.

Few weeks ago it was hot deal on Costco website just £54.99, I have used £20 off voucher for first order paying £35. It's worth to wait as that's really old stock.

I ordered this cheaper from bose direct with free delivery. Dont no if the offer is still live but this is a great speaker.

Nice find! I had a £20 voucher when I joined costco a few months ago, glad I didn't use it! Just got this for £54.89 :)

Somebody on hukd posted a video of this guy's review already but here are the audio samples of speakers, it so happens that he got a few for bose and anker brand. Compare and see(hear?) for yourself. Anker seems pretty crap compared to bose, the only one I found better is jbl xtreme.

no i wouldnt trust all the 6400 reviews ;) !!!

I did hear all the comments saying it's not worth the price, there are better available etc however when I got one about 6 months ago I was amazed how good it was.

Black oos, pearl still in stock.

These speakers are absolute class and this is an amazing price. Heat for you, OP!(highfive)

Yeah really should be £135.99 if you use the £5 code for first order. Would only be £129.99 if you have ordered before. So slightly misleading. Still good price for awesome speaker.

Was £54.99 with free original Bose case as hot buy @costco last week. Worth to wait to black Friday...

Expired? Great price. Would have bought for kids

Would this be suitable for use in a school gym ?

Can you recommend a better speaker for the price? I am not a huge fan of bose sound myself, prefer more natural tone. This one does sound quite powerful given its size, which is a plus.

I've been waiting for a good deal on these Bose for a while. If you are not interested in NC (QC35) like me, then these are a great set of wireless headphones!

OK thanks for the heads up

They are not particularly bassy but more neutral. You can hear the bass but it won't overcome the other sounds and that's how Bose speakers/headphones are tuned in general. I paid £164 for them and I'm really happy with them :)

Do they have a nice bass sound bronca and how much did you pay if you don't mind me asking 8)

159 at very but out of stock atm.. Possible tcb too when they are back in stock

Do you think John lewis will price match these cause they're quite a bit more from them

I better open mine and check then !

Yes, it was all sealed up, and it isn't an Amazon fault but just poor QC by Bose. Amazon have sent out a replacement order so hopefully the new one is OK.

Was it not all sealed up? I also got white but haven't opened it as it's all sealed up and it's a gift

Got mine, this morning in white. I have to say, it looked like it was used or it had not been QC checked before it came out of the factory. Marks on the top near the buttons and small glue marks/stains at the base. Not impressed at all. White was also a poor colour choice, I thought it would be brillant white (like my Sonos connect Amp) but instead its a very grey white.

Ordered mine at 2pm using a £5 off code and it's just arrived not bad for £69.95! so thanks for posting x

Bose SoundLink Colour - White £99.95 @ Amazon

Seems like a good price for this speaker, everywhere else I see it £115 plus. Bumped into it when looking for speakers on Amazon, can't vouch about quality but hey, it's Bose.

I thought they have the same speaker innards and were pretty much the same in performance.

A bit more??? :D

I posted a deal a.couple of months back where it was only £65 @ John Lewis with a 2 year warranty. I know that's then and this is now,but £99 isn't even near to that price,so I wouldn't say it's a very good deal. I'd say if you are in the market for one, then hang on a while as they often pop up for far cheaper.

This indeed has been around the £70 mark a few times, and this is worth mentioning because the whole point is to get a good price.

....and the sound link colour isn't that great a model anyway. Spend a little more and Buy the sound link mini

There must be one included with the dot, I'd be very surprised if there wasn't.

should I have got a male to male audio cable with this? How to you plug them into to each other?

I have the Soundlink Mini 2, the only other comparable speaker is the UE Boom. SM2 has great volume and bass response for the tiny little package.

ive never been a fan of Bose but a friend brought his soundlink mini with him in a recent trip away. I was absolutely blown away. Its fills the room with decent sound.

There's an Anker SoundCore Boost coming up on a prime day deal at 7am might go nicely with your dot. I'm keeping an eye out for that.

Does, greatly. Thanks.

By sheer coincidence I purchased the white version of this speaker this morning from Argos (£64.99). On the bottom of the speaker it clearly states 5v --- 1.0A Hope that helps.

Aye that's what i do. But I meant the best speaker that charges via 5v usb. Nearly bought the silvercrest one but turned out to be 12v charger sadly. Which is a shame as for the price that thing was very nice.

Thanks for posting, not going to buy, but hot from me.

Better to set your solar panels to charge a portable battery and have the battery recharge the speaker as and when?

Hi all, I just did some research and the Gen 1 is Weight: 152.6 g . Gen 2 is little heavier than Gen 1. So this headphones are actually Gen 1. Apologies for this - I think its not a good deal as I initially thought.

gen 2 I think, I have a pair and the headband is alot thinner than that.

These are the gen 1's correct? as gen 2 are 199, Strangely enough I was looking at these and the quiet ones in Costco
