I prefer the non-noise cancelling Bose headphones myself. They are lighter and I find the noise cancelling range add a small but noticeable hiss in the background (although I haven't tried the QC35's, so maybe these are better?). I've had the AE2i and Soundtrue wired headphones and now Bose have these which seem to be the same but with Bluetooth and a much higher price tag. I'm sure these could come down a bit more in price. These are cheaper on (181.99 euros - roughly £160-165).

I think you are right, the ones offered by First Direct are the the On ear and not over ear. I've tried the on ear ones at the shop and then are not bad at all, quite comfy, but if it's noise cancellation you want then you need the QC35's. Not sure about these tho.

I might be wrong but the headphones offered by first direct don't seem to be the same? They are on-ear headphones and these are around ear headphones?

Thanks OP. I've opened a first direct account. Just needs to have an average of £1k in there until the headphones come through.

Why pay £175 when you can get qc35 for £230ish eBay brand new sealed. Off that Huawei phone deal still. I paid £224.

I have the JBL flip at home and my mate has the Anker soundcore (latest version) and the Bose blows them both away. Plus I can strap it I to the shower and all good.

Good price for this unit but reviews are pretty poor. Just buy the Soundlink Colour for better sound or something like a JBL Flip or Anker Soundcore for much less money and equivalent quality.

Yes you can.

Would be the first time ordering from German amazon. Can I login with my Uk account and pay with my usual method?

is this speaker actually water resistant? only seems to say it on amazon. can't see it mentioned on bose official, currys or john lewis? cheers

Further to my above comment, it does seem to make a difference where you put it. In my fully tiled bathroom it sounds awesome!

I've just got this from Curry's with 10% family discount. Kind of disappointed, maybe I was expecting too much. When a bassy section of a track starts it dips the volume but the bass lacks "thump".

One of the best speakers I’ve ever owned - it may seem like a lot of money but when you hear the quality you realise it was worth it

I have three different Bose speakers for in/out of my home. I also have one of these: Fabulous British made bit of kit that delivers every time! Cheap as chips to take on days out, holidays, festivals where you want to have a great time listening to your favourite tunes without worrying about your expensive speaker. Check out the 5 star reviews and also on Amazon.

Or Psyc Monic - £40 or so. See Amazon

Indeed they do. I actually sold my Bose and replaced with a PSYC Monic(also Bluetooth) for £40 off Amazon. I've had it 2 yrs, and it goes anywhere we travel. Being £40, I'm less concerned about the damage compared to a more expensive Bose. But 2 years in, 6 holidays abroad later, and it's still going strong !! Sound difference is marginal. I loved the Bose, but transpires I was paying for the name.

Isn’t this the same price at the Bose Outlet stores?

Do they?

One of the most ignorant comments I’ve ever read on here and that’s saying something. iPhones are similarly priced to equivalent model android phones (Galaxy and Pixel). New build houses can be the easiest and sometime only route first time buyers are able to take to get on the property ladder. Bose are known for quality and are not just priced high to rip people off. Can’t speak for BMWs as I know nothing about cars.

I dive an Audi and bought a new house 2 years ago (got a great deal on fixtures and fitting and house valued much more than I paid for it). I agree, I like quality too and its worth paying a little more but often you ban get better quality for ‘standard’ price by stopping around.

You don't always get what you pay for. For instance the JBL wireless speakers use LiPo batteries that fail after a while, as does the charging port on the Pulse 2 and possibly other models. Remember these are about twicr the price of the Anker speaker. The Anker Soundcore Boost is very well built, it may not be made of aluminium like the Soundlink Mini II, but has a very solid feel to it, certainly a big upgrade over their older A3143 Premium Bluetooth speaker which was very plasticy. And Anker's Lithium Ion battery tech is known for being very high quality and long lasting. I have no doubt that my Soundcore Boost will outlast my JBL Pulse 2, I solely bought the Pulse 2 for the lightshow despite it having average sound compared to the Anker.

I had some Anker headphones and the quality wasn't there. They failed after 6months. Replaced them with Bose ones 18 months ago and still going strong. You get what you pay for. It just depends what quality you want. Personally I don't think Anker will last years but that's not their pricepoint. If you replace/lose/damage/upgrade stuff then go for cheaper Anker you want things to last longer Bose is good value.

And it will only sound a quarter as good. I hear what you are saying about Bose equipment. However this is the exception, the Soundlink Mini II is an outstanding speaker and at this price it’s red hot.

Cold, picked these up for that price a year ago without any sale or promotion. Lack of deal aside, these headphones are really quite good for the money. Although I wish I'd spent a bit more as I've ended up using them way more than I expected.

Bought this today from Bose in Westfield London. Showed them other retailer (via a Google search) selling for £164 and they price matched it. It has to be from a Bose Certified seller and must be in stock.

fair play, wish had seen peter tyson would have gone for that myself!

Not only that but they have average reviews. Personally I think the Beoplay S3 at £90 right now is an absolute steal; I think it will beat most small speakers below the £250 range.

Yep I called them and was told the same thing about 4am it would be available but behold.. Back up to full price when it was.

I'd never looked at Bose products before until I went on holiday and the hotel room had got a soundlink mini 2 in it. I was blown away by the sound that came out of this little speaker. It's really well built and sounds amazing. I agree that they are expensive but you get what you pay for. Based on my experience of Bose I disagree with the rest of your comment.

Stylish robust and water resistant........ that's the girl for me........what?

I got up at 4AM to buy one and they are not this price - saw it on jl yesterday, but can't see the deal anywhere today, it's price is £189.99 - gutted!

Link no longer working. Really hope this comes back as I have been looking at ordering a Soundlink Colour 2 as a gift for the past few weeks, but this is a better deal.

As it says. Best price I can find !!!

For anyone interested I have just bought these from JL @ £169.95 and I can confirm they do price match to Home AV Direct which are on sale for £138.00 at the moment. Go go go

Good for you but I don’t. I’d rather know where it’s cheap now or going to be as I live in the now / future not past.

Which means that this is not as good as price as it could be, which is sort of the whole point of this website

I find it helpful to know that elsewhere an item was cheaper a few days ago.

How are home av direct as a retailer? What is their returns policy, anyone any experiences?

They don't sell series 2. Both Bose speakers in Costco are very old stock, SoubdLink Mini is ver 1 too. The colour one should be reduced below £50.

I also bought one a few weeks ago for similar price but that was the series 1, if you got the series 2 for that price that is a bargain? the series 2 has voice control and is waterproof, my series 1 doesnt have that.

Few weeks ago it was hot deal on Costco website just £54.99, I have used £20 off voucher for first order paying £35. It's worth to wait as that's really old stock.

I ordered this cheaper from bose direct with free delivery. Dont no if the offer is still live but this is a great speaker.

Nice find! I had a £20 voucher when I joined costco a few months ago, glad I didn't use it! Just got this for £54.89 :)

It could be better but being a 360 degree speaker, it is difficult to produce heavy bass for it's size. You can however put it in a corner and it should crack up the bass as it bounces off the corner walls fine.

That's very old soundlink mini 1. Massive stock in Southampton store and no buyers :) They should reduce price years ago!

speakerphone Costco still have the sound link mini 2 in stock . Excellent speaker £139.99 inc VAT

I've listened to this in store and the distortion on the highs was disappointing. The plus has a much cleaner sound in my opinion if you can afford the extra.

This is my concern but was only after leaving the store did I think about it.. Both salesmen demo'd the speakers to different customers by playing Emeli Sandé - Read All About It, a not very bass heavy, virtually acoustic-like track. Also I did hear a touch of distortion but I would put that down to the sheer volume the Revolve was at to compensate for being in a noisy, open plan store.

I did hear all the comments saying it's not worth the price, there are better available etc however when I got one about 6 months ago I was amazed how good it was.

These speakers are absolute class and this is an amazing price. Heat for you, OP!(highfive)

Yeah really should be £135.99 if you use the £5 code for first order. Would only be £129.99 if you have ordered before. So slightly misleading. Still good price for awesome speaker.
