Decent price at Costco for the v2. £169.95 on Bose website right now. In warehouse price.

bad retail, don't buy anything unless you are 100% sure that you will not return it. this is email from them, Hi. I am so sorry you have had a bad experience. We do state in our terms and conditions that products returned are subject to a re stocking fee. "Should you wish to return an item they will be subject to a re-stocking charge. If the item was sent from our warehouse the charge will be 25% of the item value. If the item is sent direct from one of our manufacturers it may be subject to up to a 50% re-stocking fee" We also state in our T and C's re stock availability "Lead times quoted are subject to stock availability at time of order and subject to seasonal demand. If required for a specific date please check availability before ordering and state at time of order" What we do is perfectly legal. If you wish to discuss this further I will be more than happy to speak to you.

And how much do you pay to be an executive member?

Definitely a good alternative at Curry's. This one is a bronze/black colour so it's not available in the Curry's deal.

If you have Executive membership you get an extra 2% cashback, and if you have their Amex card then it's another 1% cashback. Hot from me.

Seems you been me to it haha

BOSE SoundLink Mini Bluetooth Wireless Speaker II in Black or White now £119 @ Currys with 6mths Deezer free
Refreshed 11th DecRefreshed 11th Dec
Great little speaker with a further price drop to £119 on both colours 6mths Deezer included

(annoyed) was hoping I wouldn’t have to dumb this down but it is plastic, that little metal part is just an extruded frame to make it look metal with the entire inners and both faces being entirely plastic moulds. Btw did you know if you say gullible slowly it sounds like oranges?

Whatever. You thought it was plastic. Meh. I still want to carry this on, but... meh.

Milled aluminium (lol) it’s an aluminium extrusion like a Chinese car tuner box you can see it from the photos I guess thats the type of clever marketing that Bose use for the gullible to make them think it’s a premium product. You sir are the reason I think I should start a new company selling UK volcano insurance (y)

Audiophile speakers and Bluetooth don’t go together for a starter. My original point was simply that Bose is over priced but never for a second considered it among what I would class decent audio equipment. I just think we have very different ideas of premium. You seem to be of a Bose/BMW/Rotary kind of era that I would class as premium high street, possibly just a generation gap as I’m under 30 and grown up being able to see a much wider variation of products thanks to the internet etc. I know even the generation gap of myself and my parents is crazy, where they would still a £50k car as luxury I would class it as a £700 a month car that virtually anyone could afford on minimum wage assuming they lived at home.

But it’s not fantastic sounds (lol) maybe compared to a £10 speaker yes but would you believe me if I said I was a fantastic footballer?? No but I am compared to a 3 old so it’s not true

Instores only as new version due out summer 2019. Today Bose online doing refurb models for £89

I think you can find them online for about £20ish if you shop around... Just search for them on Google mate. :D

So replace the new battery with a new one? Hadn’t considered this, probably quite expensive to replace? Thanks for the tip

Hi Steve, never had a problem with my battery losing charge but as these devices get older the batteries do lose capacity... Just wondered whether you had tried replacing the battery by removing the bottom plate and still had a problem?

Never seen it lower than £130 new unless it’s a refurbished.

The portability is exactly why I bought mine. I'm sure you'll be impressed by the sound and it is a great price.

The clincher for me would be 6 months music plus this is portable / battery so u can take it out and about as well as it’s got aux so hook it up to any old dot you got and it’s true Alexa integration with amazing sound

I have both. In fairness I've never put them side by side to compare as the Sonos is part of my home system and I bought this for when I'm away from the house (holiday's, weekends away, etc.) Am very happy with both but purely on quality of sound I'd say the Play One edges it personally.

Nope but then again I didn’t see the Deezer part :)

great product.still sounds very unique and great for its size.worth this price without any doubt.

Sound wise nothing in it apparently. Newer one has convenience of regular USB charging rather than special adaptor. Slightly better functionality and more colour options on the later one too, but it’s definitely a personal choice I don’t think there is a right or wrong answer to your question...

This or the old version for £99?

Oh it’s actually way,way better than Anker..I test them sude by side, there is no comparison really. this speaker is truly something special. very unique sound,so powerful with no distortion. and I don’t say sane think about all Bose products. well worth the money

A really good speaker. However it costs several times more than an Anker Soundcore Boost without being several times better.

a very warm welcome newbie.heat added :)

Tempted - looks good another £35.00 is discounted at checkout- I was looking to buy a music system for my wifes bday - but not sure if this one Bose OR Samsung bar and woofer @£159.00. Of course Bose the boss !

Don't know why Bose are so reluctant to build stuff in, no Chromecast Audio or in built in Alexa support is really disappointing especially considering the price.

Apologies, I probably didn't make it clear enough. That is without the bundled Echo Input which you are getting here. I've edited the OP to make it clearer.

I owned one which I bought used from JL. I was really impressed by it, solid sound all round, even outdoors. I returned it, as I wanted to give Anker Flare a go, at half the price. I got less then half the quality. Looks like waiting paid off, thanks op.

You know how sometimes you read something and then compare that with someone else's summary of the same thing and you end up wondering whether the two of you both read the same thing?!? I've just looked at various reviews on the Revolve and they all seem pretty positive. The only real negative in any of the reviews is that it seemed expensive, but it was typically reviewed at almost £200. Over the summer I spent a very happy evening outdoors with a few friends listening to one of these and was VERY impressed with it. An awful lot of very good sound comes from something that should be much too small to deliver it. Note that the environment may be atypical (no real reflections) so I think I'd want to listen again indoors to see if that impacts it any, but otherwise it seems a bit of a bargain at around £115 (and yes I also just confirmed you can definitely get it for that from Amazon). I did my doctorate in digital audio and have spent a big chunk of my life around HiFi of various flavours from budget through studio. The only thing I say to people when they ask my thoughts on audio systems is that sound is like wine and VERY subjective. You need to spend time sampling a range so that you get to recognise the differences, and that once you have you should go with what works for you. Listening to the opinions of others will, at best, give you some ideas about things worth auditioning, but, at worst, will drive you nuts. Don't try to pander to someone else's opinion of what is good or bad! This is not HiFi, it's a lifestyle accessory (and will typically be used in mono FFS)! Does it do what you need it to do, go loud enough and is it fun to listen to (for the type of things you enjoy)? Trust your own instincts and buy what makes you smile.

Take it somewhere else mate

It isn't really my opinion, since i haven't heard the Megabooms at all... Just have to look at every review on Amazon, they're very positive. There are also many websites who praise the megabooms I've heard the Bose and have also heard their top end stuff. None of these sites above are cherry picked, just google best bluetooth speakers, Bose rarely even feature on them. Bose indubitably win in one category..... marketing

Yeh, in your opinion. I don’t agree. Such is life.

My dad has one of these and it's awesome. He had issues with the device not charging properly. He spoke to Bose support and they advised a firmware update. After doing so, it fixed his issue. May be worth a go to anyone here who has had similar issues.

Had problem with version 1 of this speaker, I was out of warranty, lady on the phone said sorry, I said what? Bose breaks just after warranty ends? She said OK we will fix it for you, and they pretty much replaced everything inside the speaker. Its Bose on the end.

Anyone know if you connect to this speaker with airplay please?

Great price!! We love ours & haven’t had any issues!

The ones from first direct offer are different. I opened An account, told me deliver would be up to 30 day’s from ordering...that was 36 day’s ago,and still nothing.

I prefer the non-noise cancelling Bose headphones myself. They are lighter and I find the noise cancelling range add a small but noticeable hiss in the background (although I haven't tried the QC35's, so maybe these are better?). I've had the AE2i and Soundtrue wired headphones and now Bose have these which seem to be the same but with Bluetooth and a much higher price tag. I'm sure these could come down a bit more in price. These are cheaper on (181.99 euros - roughly £160-165).

I think you are right, the ones offered by First Direct are the the On ear and not over ear. I've tried the on ear ones at the shop and then are not bad at all, quite comfy, but if it's noise cancellation you want then you need the QC35's. Not sure about these tho.

I might be wrong but the headphones offered by first direct don't seem to be the same? They are on-ear headphones and these are around ear headphones?

Thanks OP. I've opened a first direct account. Just needs to have an average of £1k in there until the headphones come through.

I have the JBL flip at home and my mate has the Anker soundcore (latest version) and the Bose blows them both away. Plus I can strap it I to the shower and all good.

Good price for this unit but reviews are pretty poor. Just buy the Soundlink Colour for better sound or something like a JBL Flip or Anker Soundcore for much less money and equivalent quality.

Yes you can.
