All Braun Series 5 Discounts, Offers and Sale - October 2020
good deal, Wembley seems to be only store with stock, cold for rest of the country
Great deal, I’ve got the series 7 with a cleaning station so can’t comment on the 5. But was a wet shave only guy until tried the 7 never looked back. Come a long way since victor kiam
This is the worst shaver Ive ever had. Could be just mine or just for me, but I do not recommend.
Sods law, the nearest store to me with stock is 105 miles away. Heat added tho.
They have more stuff on clearance Instore as well. Got myself 5190cc with Clean and charge system for £62 (was £249.99). They have loads of other stuff reduced as well.
Found it in store, at this price too.
"engineered in Germany to last up to seven years" some strange marketing that, seven years isn't very long. my philips has been going for about 10 now with a few head replacements! good deal though!
In store they are the same price. Just got a 7898cc for £82.50. Very good price as far I can see. Thanks for the post.
Thanks - just ordered a 7898 - hope the order is fulfilled this time
You can separate the reviews at the bottom. It’s a bit hidden but it comes under the format drop down box. Amazon needs to have a look at how user friendly their site is I think. Hopefully this link will work for you. (y) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Braun-Electric-Precision-Rechargeable-50-B1200s/product-reviews/B0883M79CW/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_viewopt_fmt?ie=UTF8&reviewerType=all_reviews&formatType=current_format&pageNumber=1
I think this is a new model. Amazon is annoying because it lumps reviews together for several different models
About time they came close to recent Argos price reductions on Braun shavers.
This is now expired, link doesn't work
What’s the best trimmer/shaver for below the belt region
One major problem with Braun is, they don't supply UK plug.
I've had this shaver for years, highly recommended, especially at this price. I've replaced the foil 3 times, so the shaver must be 7-8 years old and not missed a beat. Ordering one of these as a back up. Not seen for less tjan £70 for ages.
Ordered - great price and beats anything I have seen on Amazon for this. I agree that the models with cleaning units are just another moneyspinner for the manufacturer so did not spend the extra 20 quid.
Seems like an excuse to give more money to Braun for not a lot of benefit to me. I've survived a long time without a shaver cleaning station ;)
For £20 more you can have the 5195CC with the cleaning station. If you like a hygienic and clean smelling shaver this is worth the extra.
I 2nd that on the basis (for me) stubble growth ain't longer than 2 days - beyond this it struggles for which I use a Philips One Shave for longer hair. Series 3 Proskin gives great close shave for a clean shave look without the razor burn and gentle on sensitive skin. Although I must go against the grain to achieve a close shave contrary to instructions which advise to go from a top downwards directions - I go bottom upwards. Added bonus is that it can be used 'wet' and the battery lasts for several weeks!
This. Panasonic LV65 is among the very best shavers.way better than this and better than Braun series 7.
I bought a Series 3 shaver and so far have been impressed.
Would def agree that you should choose series 7 (or series 9 for heavy growth).
Rrp is insane. More than double what it actuall is.
Really good shaver got mine from Argos with cleaner for £85 https://www.argos.co.uk/product/8355063
I have this shaver it’s fantastic imho I threw my Gillette fusion and blades in the bin had a year and half oil foil very 2 weeks
It does indeed I got it in lightening deal last November for £46
I have this shaver also. And as mentioned above it gives a great close shave and lasts for weeks on one charge. Plus it only takes about 1 hour to fully charge.
I have this shaver fantastic very close shave charge lasts 2 weeks I threw my fusion and blades in bin
That was a month ago
I got this for £35 at Boots a month back.
Cheaper on eBay from £59.95 + £3.95 p&p
Was £10 lower in December but a good price for now.
I've seen toys made of better plastic. The previous generation of these were solid build.
Yeah, I only ever go to Accy if I want the Tesco to be honest! I will have a trek over at some point, I don't work too far, so I am that way a fair bit and we're familiar with most of the town from living there. Blackburn has improved, grew up here and moved back last year. Same as anywhere I guess - some areas are alright and some are a bit plop. Always good to come across some local folk on here though (y)
Burnley is pretty decent too. Preston for me is too spread out. I live between Blackburn and Accrington, Accrington is terrible, more closed shops than open.
Yeah, it's better than it was 10-15 years ago - the Cathedral area is really nice these days. I lived in Burnley for a few years, but genuinely never ventured into the town centre. Not intentionally, we'd always travel to Blackburn or Preston for town centre shopping :)
There's some decent shops in the shopping centre.
Best shopping centre in East Lancs ;)
Just picked mine up - it had been used! Not impressed Argos (mad)
Great Price. Thanks Op. Heated and Ordered.
Thanks got one from Montrose this morning.
no stock from Aberdeen down to Kirkcaldy
Had series 7 they aren’t that good, the cleaning station is cool though
You can return it within 30 days. The only reason I buy most of my stuff from Amazon is their no hassle returns policy. The money is back in your account the day the item is picked up.
The sweet spot price for foil shavers is between £70-£100. Anything more is overspending imo. The best models like Braun Series 7,Panasonic LV65 can be bought for around £100 usually they are on sale for this price range. The Panasonic RF31 is also excellent which is between £50-£70. a good specialist seller for shavers is shavers.co.uk they often have sales and better prices than amazon. They recently had the Panasonic LV65 for £80 which was a steal, the LV65 was exactly like LV95 the flagship top of the range model without the cleaning/charging dock thing. Panasonic foil shavers are very good.on par and most of the time better than Braun.
Thanks Tequila - it's always nice to be told that I'm wrong :p Obviously this was based on my experience and I'm a ginger fair-haired middle-aged man who's waiting for his hair to turn grey (but the $%%£&$ stuff stays ginger). What I was trying to say was that my foil shavers never go as close as a clean, sharp razor. It's fine for work but if I'm going to a wedding (especially my own), the better half always requests I spend the time using Gillette Mach 85 (or whatever number they're on now). What I don't know (and I've always been suspicious of) is whether spending £200 on a foil shaver is that much better than the £50-70 I have spent on Phillips in the past. It's such a personal experience that going on Amazon reviews isn't really going to cut it (!)
I have very thick hair and I cannot return to a manual razors - they shred my skin. I have used 2 aqua touch Philips Shavers since changing from manual razors- the current one is the Philips 941 with 3 concentric cutting rings (no longer being produced) - I wouldn't go without it. Its perfect for me, but everyone is different.
I can't comment on this model but Braun series 7 is as good as wet razor shave. I recommend Panasonic RF31 which should be around £50. It was my first electric switching from Gillette Proglide and it shaved as close. Bear in mind It takes 1 week to 10 days for the skin to adjust to new shaving method,
I got one, charged it and tried it, very impressed.Had a refurbished Wahl, but it died as I was using everyday. Got this it was ok but had to press too head, then got this one. It left hair (like fine sandpaper 360 grit). I am allergic to my own hair so have to keep it bald plus I use cream I got from the Dr.from thisto this
Looks good, If i had'n't bought the 3080s when it was £39.99 I'd go for this
Very tempted but I can't find a review for this model on Which? They give the related Braun Series 5 5030s (doesn't wet-shave) a top best buy but some of the feedback from members is very critical. Anybody more comment from people with experience of using the 5040?
I bought this two weeks ago at boots for just under £90 which was the best price at that time and I love it! Best shaver I've ever owned and I've had all the major brands and multiple models. Gets a cracking which review too. Well worth it and even considering buying a second one for this money as the foils are over £30 alone
Well worth it for the money! 8)
The price is £59.99 when u click on it why it becomes 86.99 ?
looks like it's gone up already ! Price: £86.00 & FREE Delivery in the UK. Delivery Details You Save: £113.99 (57%)
I have one if these and would recommend at this price. I have a pretty tough and dense beard and this gets through 2 days of stubble with no issues. on 3 days of stubble I notice the odd pull if I pass too fast. there are the odd few hairs that it struggles to catch on my neck as they go in odd directions but after a few different passes at various angles all hairs are cut. im looking for a deal on the equivalent Phillips at the moment so I can compare the style before jumping on a top of the range from my favourite brand.
Ordered. Thanks OP.
I had a series 3 Braun, and bought one of these last year at around the same price of £60. The series 5 (5040s) is a much better shave, closer and a more comfortable shave. The battery also lasts longer. Going to get one for my Dad, whose series 3 has seen better days.
Any good? Most reviews say the 3 series is actually better?
Bought one of these this time last year for the same price.
Hi, the link comes up with a price of £89.99. I'm not currently a Prime customer, but would join if this deal is available. But can't seem to access the £62.99 price?
How do you find the prime price I click on the link and it's coming up at £89.99
Bought because of camel alert. Pretty much as cheap as they get. Can't get them at the staff shop at this price even :)
