I bought one of these as spending too much on Costa. Amazing kit I love. I wanted the Sage BE but it was just too much. Paid 299 for this at Curry's. Grinder with full breadth of settings, 2 portafilter baskets, and steam wand. It really takes your coffee game to another level. Bit of a Learning curve to dial it in but hey that's part of the fun..
Marketing spiele but right technically it's Incorrect..
So, what does happen if there is a problem? Does it need to be send back to Italy?
Dunno why these keep getting called bean to cup?
How does this compare to the Sage Barista Express?
I bought this kettle for my mum and it's brilliant, looks lovely and the handle is a joy to pour with which is something I've never said about a kettle before (flirt)
In what way, I've had this kettle for around 18months now and not had any issues with it(design or otherwise). It's also relatively quiet for a fast boil kettle. I would buy one again if I needed another.
There is no stock expired must of had only a few in stock.
Agree, have mine a few years, but even when new, it struggled with some frozen stuff. Still a decent deal though.
I can't believe this model is still around the same price I bought it for years ago! I mean it's a daily workhorse but don't expect too much blending power at 300W
Mind sharing the sainsbury link?
I have this blender, the lid for the bottle is pretty flimsy and the "one touch" isn't too great as your just holding the button until its smooth enough (if you use frozen fruit you'll be holding the button maybe 3-4 minutes. But never the less, blending ice/ ice cream for shakes or smoothies during this heat is worth the price. (lastly, if you but juice with bits. Blend it. the juice getting all aerated makes it taste like a freshly squeezed juice you'd find from one of those juicing machines abroad)
To be fair, I thought TwoTones points were valid. Not saying the kettle is bad, of course, but I too found that the kettle doesn't boil. I probed it several times on mine and my in-laws and each time is the same. Roughly 89°c. Granted, even a conventional kettle doesn't boil to 100°c but its a tiny bit unfair to attack someone's comment when they have a valid point.
The reviews on Amazon beg to differ, i stand by my unbiased reveiw
"Abusing" (or opposing, as most of us have done) your comments, not you. Accept that your experience or view is only valid for you, not necessarily the product on general sale
You can't fix stupid, I gave an honest review and deem it ok to abuse me well done
OK so I've now tried my machine a number of times with different fillings (even with coleslaw) and it's worked perfectly no dripping out the sides although I can't say that it cut them in half but it's cool that's what pizza cutters are for lol :D I would give 4.5/5
Could anyone recommend a decent deep fill sandwich toaster please that’s not costing an arm? Thanks
We just got one and like it. Its not the beefiest machine, but it does the job gj E and we got the waffle plates too which are dope
Bought this a while back for £21. Makes toasties! Forgot how lovely they are! Has now gone to the back of my cupboard until I forget how lovely they are again! Would recommend
What bread are you using I use hovis this sliced and put it sideways always holds the filling and is deeper that any at this price point deffo would recommend
I use Warburtons medium bread (blue packet) and cut the top crust off by 2cm.
Never seen this before - a samosa maker or a giant toastie maker https://www.iwantoneofthose.com/kitchen-appliances/smart-samosa-maker-black/11522382.html?out-of-stock-alternative And one of these to prep the bacon you'll be using in the toasted sandwich https://www.iwantoneofthose.com/kitchen-appliances/smart-bacon-express/11484970.html?out-of-stock-alternative More quirky food related products http://www.smartworldwidefun.com/product-category/modern/ Even got one to help you overcome the current Haribo crisis http://www.smartworldwidefun.com/product/smart-gummy-candy-maker/
Dust collector this should be called... After 2-3 months the noviity where's off not the dust! ".... come on you know it's true! (lol)
Massive improvement on the sandwich toaster we had before of which has been binned. And sits alongside our breville panini press lovely. Much appreciated deal well worth the money (y)
I presume all these bottles work together? On this machine and the one that's been around years
I’ve had this version for about 3yrs now use it at least once a day, it’s great well worth £20 of anyone’s money.
It's basically this (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00DGLUW4E?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&th=1) which si £19.99 most of the time (on Amazon and Argos) but with a processor bowl instead of a second blend bottle. Sorry OP - would need to agree with freedeals21 on this one :( . My smoothie maker broke so I am hoping on a good deal on one!
Non deal price is £22 and deal price is £21.99..I hardly believe £0.01 is a deal?
Well I am definitely going try that. Heat for you too 🔥🔥😘
Isn't any deeper than a normal sandwich maker. Removable plates are good though.
I'm looking forward to using the waffle plates when I order them.
Don't buy a Breville, it's cheap tat which will likely suffer from the usual broken handle. Buy a Waring - can take thick sandwiches and built like a tank. This is the one I've got but I paid much less so shop around: Waring Toaster
It's a bit small. Useful as a student as I had to buy smaller loaves of bread anyway. But for normal household use it's better to go for the panini press style. You can fit in more sandwiches and no leaks, and it toasts more evenly. And it's about £30
Ours didn't last, but Breville customer service are very good and replaced with no quibble. That one also packed up before the guarantee ran out, and was replaced again but i insisted on an upgrade model as I had lost confidence in this one. They happily upgraded, and the new one packed up within two months! On our fourth now, wondering if its something we do, lol. As long as they give me free replacements I will stick with it!
Had the same problem but on the right side. In the end it was an easy fix, if you unscrew the screws underneath and pull off the sliders the top will pull straight off. Then you can clean the electromagnet contacts can with some sandpaper and alcohol. There's also a little rotating part to activate the magnet holding it down which benefits from a clean
Dont waste your money. Owned one of these for a short period of time. Can only put the one side down when you want to use it for 2 slices, then the switch packed up so i had to hold the button down to toast
Ours did the same, although we didn't use it everyday (3x a week or so, but made up 2 smoothies each time so nearly). We didn't rebuy this but got something different. While our new one great it is super noisy and we have a baby on the way so we were thinking of switching back and hoping it was just bad luck!
Ordered one and added a 3-year extra accedental protection.
I went through 2 of these in 6 months with the motor burning out every time. I did the same every day, frozen strawberries, frozen sliced bananas, oats and milk....
The top is deffo too narrow to put huel powder in. My solution is to shake my huel in the huel shaker then pour the resulting sludgey huel into the blender (as a liquid its easy to get in). Hope you get that for 30 but if not I'd just get this one as it gets the job done.
Great for frozen cocktails. 2 bottles means I can make my Miami Vice components without having to wash up in between :D
From Which? What is it?This Breville can be used with ground coffee or ESE (Easy Serving Espresso) pods - pre-prepared coffee grounds in a tea-bag style mesh pod. Unusually for a ground coffee maker, it comes with a removable milk container that can be stored in the fridge to keep your milk fresh. This just needs to be fitted on to the machine before use, allowing it to automatically make and dispense froth for your cappuccino or latte, and there’s a dial that allows you to adjust the amount of froth to suit your taste. Most other models have steam pipes for manual milk frothing, so if you want a more hands-off approach to your morning brew this could be a bonus. The 1.4-litre water tank is also removable, so it can be filled up at the sink. There are three colours to choose from: model VCF107 is traditionally styled in black and chrome, but if you're after something different take a look at model VCF108, which is white with rose-gold accents, or VCF109 which is graphite and rose gold. You can also buy matching kettles and toasters. What's it great at?While they’re not up there with the best, this Breville delivers decent espressos and cappuccinos. It's quiet while dispensing, so it won't disturb conversations in the kitchen, and, as the name suggests, many of the functions can be controlled with one touch, making them easy to use. Is there anything I should watch out for? There's nothing too difficult here, but you'll need some strength and dexterity to fit the milk jar onto the side of the machine, and the portafilter can be fiddly to attach, too. This machine can dispense two espressos simultaneously, but in our trials the cup on the right contained almost 52ml - 4ml more than the one on the left, and more than you might want in a single shot. Is there anything else I should know?On the whole, this machine is easy to clean, but we found the slotted cup grid was a little fiddly to polish, and needs more than a quick wipe to get it spotless. You'll need to use vinegar for the descaling process; this doesn't take long but involves several steps. Breville says you'll need to do this after every 40 cups if you have hard water, which could come around all too soon if you've a house full of coffee lovers. Should I buy it?Possibly. The One-touch makes decent coffees without too much fuss and bother. If you’re keen on a ground coffee machine, but not on getting to grips with frothing using a steam pipe, the auto milk frothing might swing it for you, but otherwise we have similarly priced models which have scored higher.
Just got one with damaged box on Curry's eBay with 10% off. Paid £110. Does anyone have to use the warranty to replace milk frother? Is it reliable?
I mean you can buy pre-ground coffee for it too. But we bought a krupps grinder, and we have this machine and we don't have any problem ?
Don't buy this unless you have or plan to buy a proper conical grinder. The Krups and delonghi 50 quid burr grinders are no use for this

It's a plastic kettle but looks pretty decent. The switch snapped off after around a year. Still looking for a replacement as I'm not buying another one of these unless it's being virtually given away.
Have this and can confirm those two points are 100% valid.
Not knocking the deal as it is a good price, especially for the 3kw fast boil kettle, and both items look very stylish. The thing that got me was there is only 1 temperature dial on the toaster, my kids differ in the sense that one likes their toast lightly done, the other wants them well done, that makes this toaster a no go for me. Another issue that the reviews state is that when one side of the toaster finishes, the other side also pop up, regardless if the toast on that side are cooked or not, doesn't really make much sense from a design point of view, First World problem I suppose!
I bought the toaster and the kettle for my mum and they're spot on/look really nice
