Bought the kettle some time ago in red. Cant fault it apart from being a little on the heavy side. Fast boil too. 1.7L 6-8 cups.

Thanks :)

Found at Gosport store, but online also. Reduced from £44, although next best price is £37 so £7 saving effectively.

Expensive hot water kettle at the end of the day

You also get less water than what is required for a full cup

Had one of these, only heats to about 75% of whats required for a decent cuppa so after the novelty wore off, sold it on Gumtree for £20

They are supposed to. That's how the hot water gets into the mug. You don't need to pour it. ;)

Had one of these it leaked same happened to a friends avoid

Right u r.. Loads of good reviews for Breville and my personal experience.

The Breville one mate

This or a Russell hobbs one?

I’ve had this for about 4 years and it’s fantastic. Still going strong and makes incredible rice and steams vegetables perfectly. I put about half a cup more water that the paper guide that comes with it suggests as I prefer my rice extra fluffy. This is a brilliant price for a fantastic rice cooker and steamer

I have one of these bought as a deal with toaster, cant complain. Good price and it boils water as stated.

Yeah its decent I bought it too but in white - its quite noisy and the plastic haters aren't going to like that its plastic inside too, but would recommend, performs water boiling adequately and looks good XD .

We've got this kettle, had it a month or so. Its lightweight for its size, the lid comes off smoothly/easily and it boils water. Looks alright too. Beyond that I couldn't care less. Its a kettle.

It's not that quiet, it's not the worst kettle I've had, but it has flaws, such as looking full when it's empty due to condensation on the fill guage.

We had this kettle in a holiday cottage and it was really quiet compared to our Russell Hobbs one at home

I've got one, and it is decent.. But it is a bit of a pain to clean given how narrow the bottle is. It also takes an age to dry out after washing, I think due to the shape - it bows in the centre. I can highly recommend this one, which doesn't have the same problems and fits in the same category of 'weak but good enough' blenders:

Had two, both going strong over 3 years now

I had a similar model( but one with 3 bottles) from Amazon in January, and in almost daily use, very happy. Highly recommended ( I paid I think £24)

I’ve owned one for 3/4 years and used it daily, yet have never had a problem with it

We've had this for nearly 6 years. Still going strong (touch wood) and grinds through ice cubes with ease

Need to careful saying this. Breville (non-uk) and sage are the same company. Breville (UK) is a different company.

I haven't got mine yet, but I think with an automatic machine like this, people tend to say go a bit stronger than you normally would as it doesn't compact the grounds (tamper) as hard as a manual process. Just seen this wizard, even if you don't want to buy their coffee, it might help form some ideas of what to look for; Also see screenshot.

Any suggestion on some of your favourite ground coffee as i just bought the machine and have difficulty choosing the best ground coffee thanks

Thank you :)

Bought with the matching toaster for £38. Slower to boil than my old Bosch but it doesn’t leak so I’m happy. Looks fairly premium for the price but doesn’t really look expensive

I can confirm this is completely stainless steel other than the water level indicator

I use this stuff every few months, works well, leaves the inside like brand new in minute's. Remember to rinse /boil the kettle a couple of times after use.

I ordered this yday but with coffee it really is subjevtive and everyone has their preference

Hi folks - it has to be a big no from me. I enjoy a good latte, and we’ve tried a number of combinations with the different types of ground coffee but decided to give up. The latte just tastes very foamy even if you put it on the lowest foam. I called Breville today to find out if I was doing something wrong and the operator just advised I send it back for a replacement or a refund. I am gutted as this based on the review seems like a good machine. The search for the perfect homemade latte continues...

Bought this shortly after lockdown. Excellent machine, well worth the £150 price. It really isn’t that hard to clean, I run the steam cycle once per day and then poke a pipe cleaner through the spout to ensure no hard milk is stuck in there.

I really like the look of this and thinking about buying it, but is this really a deal? I checked the price history and £149 happens a LOT My question is, seeing as £299.00 is a red herring, is it worth the actual price of £149 or is there a cheaper model that is more of a real deal?

My solution is to progress my career, and earn more, so I can buy my lattes from the Costa near me more often

That sounds a fun idea. Mine has now arrived and will be trying it out today. :D

And if you're feeling a little daring, try cooking some lasagne sheets in water until soft. Then, put some filling (some yummy cheese and ham - maybe a bit of garlic too) onto two of the sheets, and then put two more sheets on top of those before sealing them with a fork around the edges - they should look like ravioli type things. Brush some butter onto the outsides of your giant ravioli and then plop into the toaster. Give them 5-7 mins and they'll come out amazing :)

We've cooked all sorts of things - including omelettes! Can get a little messy, so be careful with how much you use, but they turned out great. Take a look through the user guide for some other interesting recipes too :)

Salter do one with 3 plates including panini that looks bigger, but again mixed reviews

I just bought one from amazon ( and with a £5 off code GIFT05 ) Wanted a quick way to do my meals. But now realise that you end up eating a lot of bread for not much (more nutritious and tasty) filling You could, instead, toast 2 slices of bread and fill your hot sandwich with ample quantities of good stuff. Also, it would be good to have a function whereby only one side was used. You either have to use/eat 4 slices of bread , or operate the machine at half capacity but full power use.

I have these. I paid £35 per item approximately 2 years ago. They both work flawlessly and look more expensive than the price would suggest.

Beautiful set, and there is also a dark grey / gold version. However, the kettle has a lift-off lid instead of the usual button pop-up option. Hence you need another hand to fill it up!! Shame, otherwise I'd be all over this!

Set mine up today and works fine, although the "small" drinks are very small, compared to the suggested cup size in the manual. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong

Does any of you have problem with frother. Mine does not dispense anything unless I push and hold it towards machine with my hand. It's all correctly placed and clicked in.
