DJI Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian £1,150.38 @ Amazon
Found 25th JunFound 25th Jun
Amazing piece of kit, Amazon have got the obsidian version for £1150, couldn't find anything cheaper. Would get one for myself but sadly can't justify it . Hope it helps someone.

Got a Mavic Pro myself .

Might be worth waiting for the DJI launch event 18/07/2018 in New York.

Genuine question, what makes this worth 1k? Are there any specific features etc?

Voted hot just ashame my price point was £750. Got a mavic pro instead

DJI Mavic Pro 4K Aerial Drone Fly More Combo - Platinum at Cleverboxes for £1039
Found 22nd AprFound 22nd Apr
I couldn't find it any cheaper elsewhere.... bought one... but knowing my luck, they will come out with a newer one soon enough at a better price... :-)

its the Fly More combo, extra batteries, props, bag, ect...

What extras does this ship with? There is only one picture of the drone itself.

Ignore the cold votes - they are meaningless. If it was a £50 drone with £10 off, it would probably be voted hot. Many see the Mavic Pro as an old model because there has been so much talk of a Pro 2 coming that everyone is expecting for these to be given away but DJI are smarter than that. If you are a newbie, I would suggest lots of practice in an open space with the drone at least 20 m above anything around you. You will probably have your first "hard landing" when you get over confident. Don't try flying indoors and don't fly around the outside of your house if you have any neighbours. It can **** them off. None of my neighbours even know I have a drone. Practice return to home so that you don't worry about losing the drone.

Thanks Eagerbeaver.. I am a bit of a newbie with drones so any input is greatly appreciated.. still, I don't know why its been voted cold

That's a really good price for the Platinum. I've had both the Pro and the Air and to me, the Pro is by far the better machine. The controller is better on the Pro but the main thing is that the noise from the Air is really intrusive. Even at 50m from passers by, you can see that they are bothered by it whereas the Pro doesn't even get noticed. The Platinum will be even better with this regard. The range on the Pro is better which you may not think is important with the UK flying guidelines but it means you can fly in areas with interference with more control than with the Air. Picture quality was probably about the same, side by side, maybe the Air is slightly improved but there's nothing in it really. Yes there have been rumours that a Pro 2 is around the corner. Clearly DJI have the new model ready and are just looking to time the release for maximum income efficiency but if you keep waiting for the better next model, you end up waiting rather than using your drone. I suspect that a Pro 2 will be about the same RRP as when the Pro was launched so more expensive than the deals available on the Pro at the moment.

Have you got android or an apple phone? How to fix: 1. change to an android device, make SURE wifi/4G & GPS is on and go into DJI Go 4 2. wait for a message saying "you have switched resion" to pop up, press "ok"(note: there is no other option) 3. wait 30 seconds and reboot the drone, controller & restart the DJI go 4 app 4. go into the settings -> wifi and make sure you see the 5.8 GHz band and that it DOSNT say 1 - 10 channels but ses 1 - 11(or 1 - 13 if ur in a CE region) 5. thats it. My theories: i belive the DJI go 4 app cant access GPS location on the iphone's, therefore never switching to its apropriate modes(FCC, CE.. etc) and stays in a "safe" mode that obays all regulations without knowing what region you are. therefore you dont see the 5.8 GHz band and only have 1 - 10 channels(sometimes 2 - 10). General Info(personal experience) - before doing this: 150 - 250 meters range, aweful - after doing this, CE: 500+ meters FCC: 1000+ meters

All the deals at the moment don’t come close to the £250 Black Friday deals, coming out at £338 is the cheapest at the moment

I bought a Xiaomi Mi drone from AliExpress. It was a very nice well made bit of kit for £300 ish and the video was pretty good too. I sold it on ebay due to being a little to big for my intended use, which is to take hiking. So I'm looking for either a Mavic pro or air.

You should set it to FCC "hack" mode using floater, you'll get much further.

Update 5: OsitaLV tweeted out that there will be two versions of the new Mavic Pro 2. One model will come with the rumored Sony IMX226 CMOS 1/1.7″ sensor and the other will have the larger 1 inch sensor. Autel Robotics will also be coming out with two versions of their EVO drone (a Mavic Pro competitor with different sensor sizes).

DJI Spark 1080p Quadcopter Drone - White £314.30 Maplin
Found 13th AprFound 13th Apr
Good price for the Spark I think.

You'll definitely need another battery for this, it only lasts about 10 mins

I bought one my self in Hong Kong, they had a deal, and ended up paying roughly £360 for the drone, remote, portable charger, and 3 batteries! Bargain oh and plus the SD card. Did end up using student beanz for I think additional 10% off. even tho purchased in HK, no issues using in UK. Even purchased the after care for UK, just incase.

good price for the spark itsself but I think better to buy the fly more combo with extra batteries and controller which will make the best of the drone.

It was this price at the start of their sale, went to £359 until this. Shambles of a clearance.

That will most likely be the Phantom 4 Advanced which replaced the standard phantom 4. The deal has been posted for the advanced as well, which comes in at that £713 price point.

Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be a way around it. Other than shooting very carefully with limited smooth movements. Perhaps implementing slow motion shots and finalise in post. If you practise and research best ways to hold and love the gimbal carefully as well as the ‘ninja walk’. You can get great results regardless. ✌🏼

That's exactly my point in an elaborated form. It's the iPhone's OIS. :)

The two Negative reviews are not at fault with the DJI Osmo but infact the iPhones that use OIS. The hardware based stabilisation conflicts with the Osmos. Unfortunately you can not disable the OIS on the iPhones. So not so much DJIs fault. Use an older iPhone without OIS or an android phone and you won’t have the Jittery issues. I still use mine with my iPhone X and make do with fixing in Post.

S7 yes. I also think you can get an adapter for the Go Pro. Give it a google and check.

They both have pros and cons. In the end I opted for the DJI Mobile 2 for the sake of £30. Reviews tend to favour the DJI for overall build quality and software. The Zhiyun app has been given unfavourable reviews in comparison to DJI’s. For the price though. The Smooth Q is a great Gimbal. Check out some reviews on YouTube for the both.

Excellent toy for someone and great price. Don't understand why its getting negative votes?

So I've seen this here too many times, clicked it to see if anything was different. It let me order it, it let me pay, for delivery, says I'm getting it on the 16th. Called to apologise my wife, looks like I might have gotten away with that. Let's see if it comes!

Plenty of mavic pro deals get voted hot. Problem is this is old design now with the Mavic Air and pending Mavic pro 2. Seems to have held its price despite this and that's why it's been voted cold.... In my opinion anyway.

It's a shame they don't seem to understand what the site is for I suppose.

Paid £780 for the combo, imported from China back in September. Got about 12 hours on it.

Because people vote cold when they see £999 for a "toy", and don't understand what it actually is and whether it's a good deal or not.

Why so cold? Pretty much the cheapest it’s ever been on Amazon! I thought it was a good deal.

Got this deal for £379 including controller. Fab little drone. It’s so fast in sport mode. But it holds its position well when hovering. Fast delivery too. Code still worked even though it did not say on the item page.

gutted i missed out on that offer, thats why there is no listing on there site and ebay now

Their eBay ID is eglobalcebtral-gb It was originally £831 on eBay so after 20% I paid £665 which is a bargain for Fly more combo. It’s just European version with European plug (eglobal put a converter in the parcel too). the registration went through perfectly well - no errors nothing. Thanks I’m thinking of giving them a miss based on reports I’ve found online

No duty or import tax. Item comes from HK. I purchased AirPods from them which arrived in 6 days. However, they’re faulty. Eglobal need me to return them to HK within 14 days at my expense. I got mine from eglobal and it was shipped internally via DPD. No issues. As folks are saying the trouble probably starts when something does go wrong since warranty is with eglobal and not DJI.

Would avoid, i've ordered stuff from them in the past with no problems until now. Ordered a Fuji Lens which was dead on arrival and they want me to pay shipping to China then an admin fee then delivery cost to send a new one. Ended up sending it to Fuji UK myself and paying the repair bill.

It almost certainly wont come with a warranty from DJI. Based on the trustpilot reviews, most peoples issues stem from when things go wrong (ie customer service). Proceed with caution.

anyone ordered from eglobaluk before? I presume they are similar to Tobydeals?

Price is good but how’s the warranty? It mentions eglobal uk but are these not coming from China?
