Mine arrived yesterday. The dial is a little smaller and the strap a little narrower than I expected, but otherwise happy :)

After been long wait, just now i got a email from amazon to confirm they are going to deliver it tomorrow. wow :D. What about you guys?

There was a time long ago when the use of Arabic numerals was declared heretical by - I think - the Catholic church

Great price. Clean understated look.

That's handy to know! Wonder how that extends to the rest of their watches. It would be a deal breaker on their more expensive satellite watches that's for sure.

don't know how you got that from my comment.

Ah ok I thought you meant you'd paid £100 mine was only £60 so pointless changing a capacitor

my watch cost a lot more than £100, and is still in great condition due it being titanium and sapphire glass. £100 one of these would look 8yrs old pretty quickly. it was worth paying the money for the capacitor. you will need to replace yours at some point.

I would say after 8 years you might as well buy a new one for a hundred quid I've had an eco-drive for about that long and haven't had to replace anything the chronograph doesn't work properly but I've never used it anyway

Sorry, I don't.

That's unfortunate. That's my main concern too, the black G shock look. Guess I'll find out tomorrow and can always return it.

I sent mine back - I found the face too busy and the time not that easy to quickly glance at. I also thought that the black finish of the strap made it look a bit like a G Shock from a distance.

Back in stock at £230! Just ordered mine

Very nice

I don't know what the average lifespan is.. i've known of some to die in under 7 years. I've also known many that still run 15 years later. It's just a rechargeable lithium cell, it's fair to say it will go eventually. I believe most of the cells used are rated to have 100+ cycles. However this means it will have 80% capacity at 100 cycles, not that it will die at 100 cycles. The capacity will keep getting lower beyond 100 cycles although the user will not notice initially because even a small capacity is enough to get you through the night. Best way to prolong the cell life is to keep it topped up and avoid deep discharge. ie when you're not wearing it leave it in view of a window, don't store in a box.

In search of something similar but with automatic movement, I've found this and created a post :) I've tried it myself yesterday and it looks good!

I'll happily vouch for eglobal too as had a few things from them now and never had a problem at all. Didn't realise they sell watches though! I've got a black and gray NATO strap on my SKX007, looks very smart; ironically I have had more people ask about it than I have about other watches that cost 20+ times as much!

I'd personally recommend eglobal, lots of people on trust pilot complaining about import tax put me off creation, apart from that they look the part. But the reviews aren't great. eglobal I can vouch for like yourself having never paid any tax on many thousands of pounds of orders including both varients of the non jap SKX. Cheapest way to get a jap version is from ebay the ireland sellers, get the rubber band version then slap it on a nice strapcode.

And people used to pay extra to have a "dead second" complication on their automatic watches. The more things change ;)

That is a beautiful looking timepiece! Well done to those that managed to bag one :)

My Citizen with sapphire glass (from a deal I posted on here nearly 18 months ago) was from Ernest Jones. Really annoys me when there's salespeople like that who don't really know their job (and Curry, Carphone Warehouse etc. full of them).

Why lol? Citizen Crystron Mega manufactured 1975, still classed as the most accurate quartz watch ever (3 secs per year). We now have self correcting watches, but that's different because their actual accuracy is irrelevant.

My research showed that this has been a problem from day one as well as other iterations of the technology - mine had a recent firmware update and still wasn't happy staying connected for more than 4 hours at a time. Citizen haven't really addressed it at all, or the fact that pairing is exceptionally temperamental and you often have to "full reset" each of the dials and start fresh. Bit of a shame, as it is otherwise a relatively nice looking watch. I ended up with the A-T4007-54E in black as a daily beater to compliment a more premium dress watch for nice occasions, and couldn't be happier.

It was my first analogue watch since a timex at secondary school. I think il stick with digital. More of a practical watch wearing person then style.

Fair enough, more of a criticism of 95% of analogue date display watches than this watch specifically then.

Yes the day. Quite small and frustrating as the clock hands are usually on the way. and only readable with light.

It has date display.

well, i'm setting up reminder to post this in 3 weeks time ;) to get some heat! then you'll do search for citizen watch and will find 3 identical watch in row! do you get what i mean? hukd isn't what it used to be! at least to mention original post (if you search before you post of course)

I got the watch but when I go to my orders on the website it shows that I haven't placed any orders. Is this the same for anyone else? Very nice watch but I couldn't wear it on my left hand because the dial was digging into my hand but I think it was more due to working with it on but seems fine on the right hand.

It is indeed back in stock. Mine arrived the other day. Really nice casual (but classy) looking watch. The small hint of blue adds a nice tasteful 3rd dimension to it.

Got the black one for £168 as an amazon warehouse deal. Was described as 'acceptable' but seems more or less mint. Very pleased!

For anyone else purchasing this type of watch for the first time, the radio sync is at full strength on the second day. Most probably a charge issue (i.e. not fully charged), or possibly weather related.....

it does help if the weather is clear. If mine doesn't re-calibrate overnight then I manually set my watch to receive the signal and leave it on next to a window for 10 minutes or so. Also, the watch shouldn't really be moved during the calibration process.

I remember having frustration when I first got mine but once I set it 5 years ago I've never had to touch it. Let me read the manual. Have you set the date?

So how strong is the Radio signal from Germany in the UK? Ordered at original price (£234) yesterday and arrived today via Amazon Locker. However refuses to sync via Radio. Hitting the signal strength indicator shows NO reception. If I put it into Manual Signal Reception, it takes some time, indicates Low strength but still doesn't sync the time correctly. Set to LON timezone of course.... I am in Surrey, so would expect this to be a reasonable strength - Is is a bad weather day or should I be concerned ?

Was out of stock by the time I saw this deal so took a punt on an Amazon Warehouse 'acceptable' one for £169. Seems to be more or less mint in box. Possibly a small mark on the clasp. Very happy!

Any other deals for those with more money than sense? Or possibly more imagination than watches?

You cannot compare this to a £20 watch. It's like comparing a Kia with a Lexus. You then have your Lamborghinis and Ferraris (Rolex and Patek Omega).

Don't be silly. You can pick up a decent watch for £20 these days.

I got mine from Gibraltar and can't remember how much I paid as was a gift from my wife for our honeymoon. Sorry to get your hopes up I was just saying what a fab watch the Eco-Drives are

Thank you very much. I've been wanting to know this for a while.

Usually divers watches with unidirectional bezels will have the first 15-20 mins a different colour or atleast marked out differently. This is because the average oxygen tank lasts around that amount of time. Look at the SKX009 for a good example of this. On this watch there isn't a rotating bezel, and whilst you can time, you wouldn't use that to count minutes, so I am presuming they did it because it makes the watch look cool.

Great watch got it last time it was on sale, a bit heavy but reaps quality
