All I said was that it’s “fugly” which was my opinion then you took it personally by implying the empty cash wallet implying that I can’t afford luxury watches. Now you’re suggesting that you bought it not for for its appreciation value which is fair enough, I understand that but your earlier post was about the prices of the watches. Anyway my comment was just my own opinion and it was nothing to do with the “brands” rather the aesthetic look.... beauty is in the eye of beholder.

Obviously I can't, because they do deprecate, like MOST things in life. But to be fair, I didn't buy it as an investment, I bought it because I enjoy it, and never suggested it was an appreciating asset. This said, it's still worth around £3,000, and I bought it for less than list price, so as and when I ever sell it i won't have lost a fortune. The reason that some (not all) Rolex models appreciate is due to how Rolex control the supply, not because they are especially good. When I ordered the GMT I had to sign an agreement that I will allow the supplying AD to keep the papers in their safe for the first year, to prevent 'flipping'.

Can you show me that this omega will hold its value or show me an omega over the past 5 years that have held their rrp value? :/

Same with the Omega you gimp.

LOL! you've got a Tag and you think it's class, It's money down the drain with resale values dropping quicker than Jordans panties.

Steal. My first real watch.

Did anyone figure out the actual watch being sold in the end?

100m should be regarded as a minimum for swimming.

Once I realised what you were alluding to I did some reading (rather than 40minutes of YouTube) turns out dynamic water pressure is nonsense! Either way, I'm not sure I'd gamble on 30m WR for swimming; I wouldn't mind washing up in it, but I don't think I'd trust it in the pool after owning it for a while without getting it pressure tested first.

Okay, it may be that the point, is that, the thing you were highlighting wasn't what was meant by my response, in as much as the meaning of your message failed to underestimate the true nature of things. If you are honest and true about the differences in what might be the reality of the situation say for 12/h, you may then be able to consider the detail of the effect on a macro level of these inconsistencies. Is it that the high is different to the low and this is why some people can't be honest about the dishonesty in what they say and want, or maybe it's the confusion of the incoherence in the ramblings that makes the. Or, sometimes it's just the. I'm not sure, but would love your insight. ... Or rather than writing without punctuation and in circumspect ways, we can keep it simple. The distribution of earnings is heavily skewed. Broad stroke judgements that poor people hate rich people and rich people look down on those earning less, is clearly not true and unhelpful. My point was that those most people would class as 'rich' or well off, earning in excess of 100k or even 50k per year are a minority. To take your view to absurdity, how granular do we get? Down to the individual? would you expect someone earning 40k per year to look down on someone earning 39,999.99 per year?? Here you go anyway. Informative..

Bought it today. 1st solar powered watch. Looking forward to not having to replace the battery after accidentally switching the chronograph on and not realising till its too late, lol. Anyway nice addition to my daily workwear collection. Thanks for posting the deal.

One can read between my lines for further income granularities in the spectrum of incomes, such as that behaviour between £12/hr earner and minimum wage, one may see superior and inferior differences, just in case (though I may have interpreted your point incorrectly) you do not know how to interpolate data ranges between my lines of data ranges in your ability to put maths in perspective.

Judging somebody by their income is a shallow and unfulfilling activity. The minute you use income/money as your yardstick in life, you've lost because behind all of it, is the elite controlling your every whim and desire and unknowingly, you've become another puppet on a string for them to play with. It's sad. Media telling us how our lives should look like. Bombarded with stereotypes that you feel obligated to slot into. Then you get muppets like Kanye West trying to make out he's got a real message ("mo - fo" ) to put out there. Biggest walking billboard there is out there, apart from his wife's backside, telling the impressionable world what they should do.

Not supplied by Citizen UK, these are shipped in from Germany and therefore don’t come with the 6 year guarantee you get over here either. Just Amazon being Amazon I guess....

That’s probably because Citizen watches that are designed for the UK market receive signal up to 1500km from German transmitter. This one is only 900km.

I used to prefer autos myself but they just aint accurate enough now after having various quartz watches, they are allright if you dont mind resetting them weekly, I now like to have a watch thats accurate. Of course if you spend the money on a watch with a better movement chances are you will get better timekeeping but I have found low end Seiko and citizen movements can be hit and miss regarding regulation

I have a Citizen radio contolled watch and it gets the signal and keeps perfect time.I live in Northern Ireland.

Bought this with the olive green strap last time they were discounted - great quality watch, worth every penny!

Try actually reading the comment you replied to :|

Definitely. It doesn't wear big at all. Depending on the exact size of your wrist you might need an additional hole in the strap though. I'm on the last one!

So only available to those in the South East, plus no specificity of which model(s) to enable true comparison, just a general claim (that you make on each citizen deal I've seen recently). Shame I can't vote your comment cold.

Yup, I have one, it really is great. I wouldn't say it's as big as you'd imagine mind! The style makes the face look a little smaller than its 47mm size (more like 45mm). The bulk of the watch maybe more of an issue to some people. It's a very very chunky watch

If in doubt ... google it. Strap has one link removed and pin is secure. Took me longer to find a paperclip !! How to remove links on citizen watches.

Congrats, just make sure when you adjust the strap, that you don't lose the retaining collar; it's a tiny thing that sits in the center link and retains the pin...without it the pin will just fall straight out!

Picked this watch up today. Bought for the water resistance and not having to change the battery. I have a rotary automatic watch that this replaces and im more than happy with everything about the watch. It looks amazing and will be my daily use watch from now on. For the price I think this is a great watch and have registered it online to get an additional years warranty which was accepted. Many thanks for the listing and the discussion here which prompted me to purchase, I have been looking for a new watch for a while and can recommend this to anyone.

Is the time keeping accurate? How much difference, say, after 1 year? I tend to only trust radio control but nothing else. Am I right?

These are great watches. Have the non chrono version. Durable, easy to read and low maintenance. At this price is a steal for a chrono.

You can still tell the time on it.

I have this watch and absolutely love it. It has become the watch I wear most in preference to some other much more expensive pieces. I’m not keen on the strap, though and replaced it with a NATO in grey, black and orange. Subtly ties in with the orange lettering on the face and looks fantastic.

Looks a bit like a Bell and Ross rip off

I have the stainless version and can't complain at all. It's a great watch and should outlive you

Lol. I don't really wear watches anymore - even for work. I generally wear this one for holidays. When I need to keep an eye on the time. Catch a plane, etc. Over the years I think I've worn this particular watch alittle more than you, about 15-20 times.

Got mine from Amazon a few years ago. Great watch and time keeping but the strap brought me out in a rash so was changed to a steel one.

I bought that too... I've hardly ever worn it. 4 times maximum...

IIII it is watch maker`s way of displaying 4. Its not a mistake, this way of displaying is only found on watches, I think it looks great.

Taken from Wikipedia ‘Clock faces that use Roman numerals normally show IIII for four o’clock but IX for nine o’clock, a practice that goes back to very early clocks such as the Wells Cathedral clock of the late 14th century.’

Sounds like he did a bad job then if luxury Time Piece makers like Rolex feel the need to change it.

What have the Romans ever done for us?

20 × I 4 × V 4 × X That's the traditional pattern, as in production, for numerals. No odd numbered items i.e. 17 × I, 5 × V, 4 × X.

Does the radio only works in UK and US? In Casio's radio watch it mentions UK, US, Germany, China, Japan. But from what I saw on the face of this Citizen, there are only LON and 4 more US cities.

Yes it is. The blue trim with it looks stunning and the metal detailing on the face really catches and reflects the light. If I hadn't just got the solar RC Casio Edifice from this post I'd of bought this.

When did diamond become a metal??? I think you'll find it's a mineral. But you are correct that it is the hardest known material.

Do you mean a date display? If so it does display the date!

Ion plated means it is harder than diamond which is the hardest metal in the world I think. It’s like 10 on the Beaufort scale of hardness. Super tough. Great find OP.

Watch doesn't look as good in reality. Can't see the detail. Just looks like a black lump on wrist with a green ring on it.
