First Post for me. No idea if this is a good deal Superb New Men's Citizen Promaster Eco-Drive 200M Blue Dial Divers Watch BN0151-17L , Brand new and boxed with 2 years watch m… Read more

I do my own watch batteries (it's pennies once you buy a few simple tools from Amazon) and I have an Eco Drive watch as well (and a couple of automatic watches - watches are my weakness). The Eco Drive is 12 years old and it's fine. I've also got a Seiko Kinetic watch that's 18 years old and the capacitor on that works fine too. I think they definitely last longer than 10 years. Eco Drives seem to go on forever. Obviously YMMV.

Hope I haven’t caught one :/

Lot of fakes flying about on eBay

Thanks Andy wedge (y)

Thanks for posting @killie77 and a very belated welcome to hotukdeals (y)

Lol at the axe comment (lol) Nice G-shock too. I fancy one...defo one of those smaller ones rather than the big beasts 👌🏼

Even the mutt gets a genuine Barbour on this firm (embarrassed)

That had better be a genuine Barbour sleeve I'm seeing and not a clone or you'll see me starting a rant about clones (lol)

A collection yes but nothing that special. I've thought about selling a few and buying something else more expensive but I'm enjoying the variety. Maybe in a few more years if I want to downsize what I have.

Do you have a collection or anything special? you seem to know your watches..

The price (:I Can't think of another diver at that price that I like. Great choice!

ok i get your point about price. i was looking at the oris last week and it stood out the green on the one above is similar. yes seamaster planet ocen, white with the orange around it. what made you think of that out of all the watch makes out there?

Fair enough but I think giving options should be around the same price point as they are realistic options. I agree the Oris is much nicer but that's to be expected. Curious now about what you bought, I do love me some watches (cheeky) . Seamaster planet ocean?

Lovely :)

Nice looking ruined by 47mm case (annoyed)

Excellent watch, I recently got the titanium version from H Samuel when it was on offer. It is the first titanium watch I have had and I can only say it is amazing. It is so lite. The lume on this watch is something else and up there with the best.

I love these watches, great quality and so reliable.

Such a bargain this and the blue one on hsamuel for £135.

I paid sixty quid for this and it’s still going strong after seven years. I wear mine with various NATO straps

Thanks OP. This is my second Eco-drive I've brought this week the other being from the H Samuels deal. Last month I brought the Casio Duro in black and loved it so much that I had to have the blue version as well and it's getting harder to sneak these past the Mrs nowadays.

Just bought this, I have a Seiko which I love but need something with a bit more power reserve and this just fits the bill. Plus I got an email from Argos with £5 off which I could use on this.

Nice, I'm gonna own this one day!

any better straps to use?

+1 Wife treated me to a new Shogun for my 40th - absolutely smitten with it, but it picks up scratches as soon as I look at it. Nothing a bit of Scotchbrite can't fix, every now and then, but having a puppy that thinks it's a chew toy causes me a fair bit of anxiety :D

the eco drive is the only watch I have ever bought and they seem to last forever

9 & 3/4 " worth of wrist action 8) It's been through sea water, mud, diesel, & sweat. Its' crystal has some chipping as well. I think I will replace it for a sapphire glass instead. Point is, titanium is well light but isn't as durable as one might think.

Serious wrist action there (cheeky)

CIH, anything to add?
