I love Citizen, although white hands on a white dial? (flirt)

You need to scroll down the watches in the link to get to it - still can't select or add to basket but, rang store, confirmed price, went in, one ordered for me. No more slots in my watch cabinet now :-(

Nice price - I'd not sure many would pay £695 for it though.

If you are fan of chronographs and sporty black and don't want to pay for automatics these watches are awesome. Trouble and worry free (just give them light!)

To be fair that's a nice watch at £199. A bit busy maybe, but heat.

Nice looking watch, nearly half price with code.

I think this is also a numbered limited edition, they made 2500 of the silver version

The silver version AT4111-01E is sapphire so I think that’s a mistake in their description.

Yep no great offer here unfortunately. As a bit of a Citizen collector I can say this is very much a low end model. For anyone considering buying this be assured the claimed previous price of £250 is totally ludicrous. As you rightly say this model has been much cheaper.

I've seen this watch in the flesh, Argos often had it on sale for £99 and sometimes cheaper. I wasn't that impressed with it for an Eco Drive, felt like a low end model and the bracelet was a horrible tinny, rattly thing with folded links/endlinks. IMO, its not worth £119.

I like this watch. But I'm sure I paid 75-85 for it a while back. I'm not sure it's worth 120. The Casio edifice posted recently is better value at 69 in my opinion.

Thanks OP arrived today and I'm chuffed with it. Great watch!

I was dead set on buying this until I went into the store to see it. It's a beautiful watch but the strap does feel cheap. I wear a couple of good rings which didn't quite mix as well as I thought they would. Oh well. Heat added as it's a great price for a nice watch. My tip would be to pop into a store to have a look before you buy.

I own two Citizen watches and i really rate them. Good deal.

CITIZEN Eco Drive Titanium Bracelet Men's Watch £89.99 at Argos

Decent price for this eco drive.

Mine had no film on the glass and a small hand written sticker on the back, but was mint condition as you would expect .It looks better on if you know what I mean and being titanium it will soon have a few battle scars . the most important thing is the fact that I can actually see the time.

Good point, well made.

I looked in two argos shops and they only had the display model left. I expect yours was similar. Not sure it makes any difference.

Did u purchase using a credit card? If so should speak to them. Otherwise trading standards. I've had argos, Amazon and John lewis all play hard ball with me months after a purchase but within the important 6 months. All 3 changed their tune once I got trading standards involved. Once they realise you know the facts and the law they change.

Picked up my reservation tonight. Can anyone else confirm if their box had any kind of seal? Also no film on watch face which I would expect? I'm sure the last citizen watch I bought had both. Looks good though.

nice find

As the OP, I have to also admit mine has also been returned. For anyone who likes a small watch face, it was actually a very very nice watch - but it's too small for my arms and preference. Shame really, I really liked the colours. However the £50 off code in the purchase email is possibly going towards a full price item. :)

I did exactly the same thing. Although I do have a lot of watches, so I don't need anymore in fairness!

Exactly the same for me... it looks tiny so 45 min drive to store to return... the search continues

I ordered one of these last time they were on sale, but I found it to be a little underwhelming in general feel and quality, and a bit on the small side - despite the description saying it was 42.5mm. I suppose it just wears a bit small for me. I'm not voting cold, but I returned mine.

Over time I’ve collected quite a few Citizen watches, mainly with radio controlled timekeeping. At £329 as a normal retail I’d pretty much expect radio controlled as a given. Without that feature included I’d say it was a bit overpriced. Good offer at £165 though

I don't need another watch, but I am very tempted.... Time to count the pennies In the meantime have some heat

Surely that depends on your wrist size? 😏

I like the Nighthawk, this is better than the one I bought which was the all black one. Looked cool, but it’s impossible to read in any sort of light. Also, mine was twice this price, so great offer. (y)

I love Citizen watches, but they are often way too large. This one is 45mm

I have 2 eco drives. 1 is about 3 to 4 years old and the other approx 6 years old. Both are ticking along nicely.

I have at least 10 eco drives ranging in age from 2 years to 15 years and not one of them has ever given me a moments trouble. I would never hesitate to buy another eco drive watch. Noj

Busiest face in the world

I was interested in a couple of eco-drives a while back and was picking between the GMT and the Altichron, when I read that the eco-drives commonly become problematic at around 5-10 years old and are expected to die at between 10 and 20 years old. Any long term owners willing to share their experiences?

They each have a different look so guess it’s down to whichever takes someone’s fancy

I have a eco-drive since 2005, kept and still keeps great time. 14 years and I had absolutely no problem.

Secondary cell is listed as having a 10 year life. The lubricants have 20. So they do not last forever by anymeans but are essinetially maintance free for their entire life.

I received my watch today and it’s absolutely beautiful time piece. It looks so good in my hand (y)

Hideous, looks like a pair of PE School Shorts

There's no evidence to prove that athletes are fitter now than in the 1950s? Are you sure? (popcorn) In reality diet and science is likely to thank for that though, not smart watches.

Not sure to be honest. I have an eco drive with a stainless steel strap but this might look good with leather. You may even like the rubber, but I've always found rubber straps to be cheap and make my wrists sweat.

It depends if you kept it charged. It can lose it charge after a while if you cycle between watches and if you keep you watches in a dim-lit environment.

Why would it be wrong? Being solar and perpetual calendar, I mean

Great price, bought the brown version one in 2012 and still ticking away. The only problem is if the Callander is wrong, it takes me like 10mins to correct.

Thanks Op for the deal and everyone's advice. I picked my watch last week and has been getting compliements everytime. Its a great looking watch and looks and feel more expensive than the rrp.

Being a citizen, it would be a great watch. I have about 6 of them, dating back 14 years and they're all as good as new. But I've never had one with a strap like this. I would assume it would be a good build quality as it's a citizen. I may indulge myself 8)

Love ecodrives. My daily watch (ecodrives Nighthawk) is nearly 13yrs old!!

That’s a good looking watch.

In my opinion it's a great price for it. Ordered one myself.
