OMG!!! Was literally about to finally plump for the Hisense until I just read your recommendation, RedXI....!!! Is the Toshiba better/comparable to the Hisense??? ;)

I recommend this one with a 6 Year Guarantee included for an extra 10.00 https://www.richersounds.com/tv-projectors/all-tvs/tosh-49u6863.html

Would my Xbox one x run good on this??

I picked up the Hitachi that was on here a month or so back, it was bloody awful! The sound was pathetic, even through a soundbar, and it felt like the TV just wasn't well specced enough to run its own OS. A really horrible experience.... So, I took it back to Argos and replaced it with this one, and I have to say, I love it, 100x the TV that the Hitachi was, and better then the old Samsung it replaced. At the end of the day, its a £299 TV so never going to be the best out there, but well worth every penny of the £299.

Is this screen as big as your new phone MS?

You're very lucky (or I'm very unlucky), but I have the this model, and have burn in. I have never gamed on it, and only ever had Sky News on for 30-60 mins in the mornings. LG told me that it's cumulative viewing hours that cause burn-in, not consecutive. So 100 hours consecutive would cause the same as 200 x 30 mins viewing.

Daaaaaam. More local dimming zones then a q9

Is the LG 65SK9500PLA better than this? Same price from RS w/ 6 year warranty

Posted 16th JulPosted 16th Jul
As the title says looks a great price for a 50 inch tv

I went safe and took the flash deal on richer sounds on the h50a6200 @ £299. The solid reviews and 6 year warranty swung it.

My Hisense 55in i got in 2017 is still rocking the roost in 4k HDR, love this brand, it is awesome the bang for your buck you get from this brand. Heat.

Shame there aren't any reviews of the 7100 yet. Don't get me wrong, my 50" 6200 is a lot of TV for £250, but it does suffer from noticable smearing in dark scenes (Stranger Things suffered from this) Just wonder if the 7100 is any better in that regard.

It appears to be the same TV just a difference size. I suppose the real question here is .... Is 7 inches worth £39 ?

What's the 43" one like here? Is it any good? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hisense-H43B7100UK-43-Inch-Smart-Freeview/dp/B07QT4B5WD

I ordered it along with an Amazon MasterCard sign up which gave me another £30 off the £255 price. Reeeeesult. £225 👌

I like the look of this. Not sure how it would work out for a PC monitor given the space I have.

I signed up to amazon credit card ,got £30 gift voucher, topped up £80 and got a £8 credit, then signed up to audible trial and got another £10 credit , so £207 for £2019 model , nearest price is £400..I personally would have paid the extra £40 to get new 2019/20 model and knowing it’s from amazon not eBay..

Last years model below - £215. Just purchased for a spare bedroom and did consider spending £40 more on this years version but differences were minimal. https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/hisense-h43a6200uk-43-4k-dled-ultra-hd-hdr-smart-tv-21520-wcode-at-hughes-direct-ebay-3262586

Most 4K screens are LCD. OLED being the other one. They technology being using for the panel has nothing to do with the resolution.

Excellent deal. Anyone know how it compares to last year's (6200) model?

Looks like a good deal for 65 inch TV, however it uses LCD screen and not a 4K... You have to scroll down to confirm the specs on Amazon app. Safe buy as it's Amazon

Big telly and good price.

Apart from size which out of the two would you go for my main telly gone bust https://www.costco.co.uk/Electronics-Security/Televisions-Projectors/Hisense-H43A6500UK-43-Inch-4K-UHD-Smart-TV/p/288413

I'd be leaning towards the hisense. Refresh rate (helps when watching fast moving images) marginally better on the hisense at 60hz. And standard warranty is 2 yrs.

This or the LG 49UK6200PLA at £287.20 with the same code? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LG-49UK6200PLA-49-4K-Ultra-HD-UHD-Smart-LED-TV/362632480032?hash=item546e948520%3Ag%3AXeEAAOSw9bFcwa7A&LH_BIN=1

displayspecifications.com/en/comparison/f9e767849 The 6550 model you have ordered is a better model - wether that's £30 more better for what you intend to use it is ultimately up to you. Problem being is the technology goes way too fast on any TV so whatever you buy there'll be a better model just around the corner at similar or less money. One of the downsides of how tvs are being progressed. But the upside is prices are being driven down to make way for 'better' technology. So swings and roundabouts

What's the difference between the H55A6250UK vs H55A6550UK? Is it just the colour? The A6550 was £330 from CostoCo last week (which I ordered), and the £6250 is another £30 cheaper now. If its the same thing, I'll cancel my previous order and get this one instead.

My understanding is that there are 2 OEM globally when it comes to TV's: - LG - Phillips Every TV will be using the hardware from either of the above. I recently smashed my panasonic HD TV, when i opened it up - it had a LG screen inside. The only way they differ is in the software.

Very well aware of that and i have the sore feet and sunburnt baldie head to prove it.

N.Ireland is UK !

Lol crazy how you can get a huge tv at such a low price

Hisense TVs look terrible next to Sony, LG, Samsung etc. The picture quality is always grainy and dull.

Very nice. I ultimately went for the 43 due to limited space AND something you may not be aware. The 43 is the only version using an ips screen. All other sizes use va panels. Va screens give better blacks but soon as you sit at an angle image becomes washed out. Ips panels give much worse blacks (more grey) but image remains true viewing at an angle. For my setup TV it made sense as some people in my house watch at an angle.

The 50inch Samsung same model 3 weeks ago similar price as 43 inch Samsung from amazon (shock) https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/samsung-ue50ru7100-50-hdr-smart-4k-tv-404-with-code-at-crampton-and-moore-ebay-3247613

I hav After doing all my research it's the TV I bought only last week. You get a lot of TV for your money, AND as a gamer input lag below 15ms, good inputs and excellent 4k display.

Just been looking at this TV (Samsung). Thanks for the heads up.

Based on number of inches and number of soundbars the Hisense is better than the Samsung.

So it turn out that although the picture quality is pretty good I am unable to stream video content from the pc to the TV over the network(wired or wireless) which is a right royal pain. The older TV could do this and played pretty much everything. The Philips struggles, even with files that are .MP4 and the TV specs say it should play this. I'm looking for a fix but needs to be quick before TV goes back..

Good stuff

So it came last night. Set it up and have a quick watch of sky, this didn't look any different in SD channels. (Maybe slightly worse as I have gone from a 40" to 50"). I had to turn off the motion blur settings stuff as it causes TV to look like a cheap soap opera. Hd channels looked clearer(love island was used as a test and I was impressed). Xbox tested and it looked really good. Xbox detected hdr and suggested changing to this on its output. Battlefield 5 looked massively better. Will continue to test things over next few days.

So it should show up as "smart TV" by default on YouTube. On Plex, TV for me shows as blank option via the plex mobile app which I can select and cast to. However I've got my TV via ethernet. My want to check if the anysteam setting is turned on in the system menu under application settings.

Our two android phones only show our Chromecast and Fire TV. TheTV (which is, of course, connected to the same Wi-Fi connection), is nowhere to be seen. Tried in YouTube, Netflix and Plex.

I tried andriod and it works fine.

Can you cast directly to this TV from a phone?

Another TV bargain on ebay with the 20% offer on at the moment. Just use code: PURE20 at checkout :)

I'm a bit disappointed with mine. I have a Toshiba 43T6863DB in another bedroom, and I'm surprised to find that the picture quality is worse on the Hisense, it's either washed out and dull, or too contrasty with blown out highlights. There are also pillars of light on the left and right sides where the image is noticeably brighter and slightly bluer. I should have bought another Vestel.

They don't even offer to deliver for an extra charge! That's the thing. Disgraceful. We are part of the UK and why can't they send via parcel force? Parcel force deliver every day to NI. (mad)

That must actually be a complete pain in the ass man, i feel for you guys as its just really unfair... I've seen some of the money they charge for delivering to Northern Ireland 😔

I can't get the code to work.

Good review here for a budget TV https://www.trustedreviews.com/reviews/hisense-a6200 And its a direct LED backlight TV (although it does not have dimming) rather than the edge lit - another bonus at this price. "The Hisense A6200 delivered a level of picture quality that was genuinely impressive, and it’s clear that despite the model’s budget pricing the company has not compromised in terms of performance." The only question mark I would have is if you want to watch sports, football, F1 etc. then you might get motion blur as there is no technology in it to offset this.
