out of stock, they offered me a refund quickly at least.

Is it not HDR 10? It doesn't seem to mention. What is the best around this price-point?

Agree. Got the 55 incher for £343 delivered from Hughes on another HotUKDeals deal a couple of months ago. Fantastic TV for the price. PQ is very good, greys as close to black as you can get at this price point, and no juddering on football/ rapid movements. 2y guarantee with Hisense is a bonus. Even has a sat input (though not Freesat). Obviously an 8bit panel at this price, HDR works well and my XBOne picture is a sight to behold. You cannot complain for the quality you get with Hisense, given the price point.

This one. They are all same software so makes no difference unfortunately. I do love it thoe. Way better screen then my Samsung 4K.

Certainly this. It uses a proper RGB VA panel, rather than the RGBW IPS panel of the LG, which will give you much better contrast and black levels along with proper reproduction of finer picture elements. The only potential exception would be if you sit at an extreme angle to the TV, as IPS has better viewing angles. Hisense's smart TV platform is a little basic by comparison, but it's responsive, easy to use and covers most of the big names.

Nothing like Jeremy Kyle when ur on the thrown (lol)

Which hisense model did you get if you don't mind me asking?

Hate to be that guy but unless it's a 10 bit panel it's not real HDR. If it's 8 bit frc you won't notice difference unless you go up close. So it might not be worth paying the usually £200 extra for a real 10 bit panel.

Always been a Samsung lover, but recently bought a Hisense and really can’t fault it. Has a good selection of apps and just love the weather widget. Not as sleek as tizen though. Great picture and sound and also a very well laid out remote

This isn't a bad deal for a 65 inch tv, the option for home delivery is not available but might come available, so collection only Delivery Is now Avalilable

It's a good quality tv. I wouldn't say it's a bargain though because you can get them for £699, so £50 less.

How high a quality is this tv, I mean is this a bargain

For me, it's showing it can be delivered by Thursday.

Similar price with 10% TCB from Curry's. Think I will go for the similar priced LG instead

Easy way to remember; OLED is technology QLED/ULED is marketing.

This appears to be a direct replacement to 2017's N6800 range. As it's new, details are conflicting - reports seem to say the 55 and up is a 120Hz panel but the 50 inch is only 60Hz. It doesn't appear to offer much (anything?) over the N6800 range so I'm wondering why the price hike....

isnt oled, qled and uled the competing manufacturers different led panel technologies oled being controlled up to a singular led pixel, qled a zone/group of pixels and uled something similar to the samsung

Oh well that was a complete waste of time. Mine arrived and has a completely smashed screen. Completely crap packaging, literally one layer of cardboard between the screen and the outside world. How's that supposed to survive ParcelFarce? Ho hum.

Bought one for the garage, cheers. Was after a cheap but decent connected TV for my Zwift cave :)

If you want an expensive TV, then buy an expensive TV. You are not going to get high-end features in a sub £300 set. That said, despite all the nay-saying about low-end HDR by the television purists, some people seem to like the effects produced. I've never viewed an HDR set so I have no idea what the truth is. In my experience, people have a hugely diverse range of abilities to perceive image quality, and also funnily enough a huge range of abilities to perceive value. Anyway for the money this seems a bargain and so I have ordered, and I will see. I was going to wait until the ancient Samsung 32" 720p telly that is in the sitting room, as backup to the projector, died before replacement, but at this price it seems a deal too good to miss.

That is a real shame, tempted to cancel, although I am wondering how often i'll find myself watching HDR content.

How can you mix the channels so you can see both satellite and coaxial? I'm stuck how to do it.

The only differences between these two models are cosmetic such as the colour of the frame and stand, and the stand design. The performance/technologies of the tv’s have no difference.

Anybody know if Argos are getting anymore stock in? TIA :-)

Another great deal from AO ;)

You'd think so but the difference was incredible. The bravia 4k TV upscaled genuinely looked way better than my 1080p bravia (same size), both calibrated properly and only a year apart in model. I mentioned this somewhere online before and people just said 'no you're wrong, it's basic math' but I checked loads of stuff to make sure 🤷 it probably just had better colours but the detail was also pristine, no artifact ing or loss of clarity, like it just used 4 pixels instead of one and didn't bother trying to stretch the image The newer hisense upscale just doesn't seem worth watching, feels almost like watching a 480p youtube vid on a 1080p display

bought one! already had one of the 43 inch ones for £250 sold on here recently but was too small!

I have the 55 inch model and use my Xbox one on it with no problems

I bought a 55” Hisense last month. Picture quality is very good. To most people you won’t tell that much difference between this and a tv 3 or 4 times the price. This is a great price for a tv this good

I’ve had mine about 18 months,it does 4K and hdr I believe they use a Samsung panel

Fairly naive to all the new technology. Is there a big difference between the one posted and this: https://www.very.co.uk/hisense-h55n5500uk-55-inch-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-freeview-play-smart-tv/1600213205.prd?

Yup, you only have to register the purchase onlline. I've seen a few comments on here from people with first hand experience with warranty issues- the general feedback appears to be very positive. I myself purchased a 55N5300 recently (an inferior model to this), and cannot be happier in terms of the 'bang for buck' received.

Thanks hcc27, is that via their warranty registration website?

Close a curtain? (highfive)

How is this for anti-glare? Our present TV is far too reflective.

I play FIFA on this TV all the time using my PS4 and have no issues whatsover! I think it plays great under the dedicated 'Game' picture mode which reduces the input lag significantly compared to the 'Normal' picture mode. I actually bought this TV last year from Argos for £584 (another HotUKDeal!) Great to see it is still holding it's value. A LOT of screen for your money. Came with a 2 year guarantee. It has dedicated buttons on the remote for YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime and Freeview Play. 4K stuff looks great! Sound is excellent. You can stick a USB stick in and use it to record/rewind/fast forward programs if you want. HDR is 8 bit + FRC. I'm not up to speed on the latest TV deals right now but this was incredible value for a 60" screen when I bought it last November. Any other questions, just ask!

What a horrible insult ! (shock) (lol) The burden of knowledge...... (lol)

Panel just give you picture all pixels and smudging is behind hardware mainly picture processor. You can see this especially on pc monitors where some models can be " hacked/overclocked" to get higher refresh rate because processing hardware is capaple of doing it. Essentially panel just display what's hardware tell to do so.

Lol I'm not sure why but you sound like a politician

I'm a gamer who knows very little about TVs. I'm a PC guy who's very concerned about TV input latency. Been eying this one up for a while. You're saying it ain't so good? What's the much better TV you're talking about?

I bought the 49” 5500 from Curry’s last week and no complaints so far, have the PS4 on it and can see what others are saying about input lag but I wouldn’t complain for the money I paid for it! Great TVs. Smart functions are reasonably smooth as well!
