I had two issues with this book.

1. Art from after NES era. Why include it, space could have been used better for era specific artwork.

2. Why date the book with things like 'xxxx is currently working on xxxx and it should be released in 2018'

Good otherwise though.

It certainly did have epic barbarian-ish music. I think this is the video you are looking for

The keyboard/synthesiser sort of 8-bit sounds are totally outdated of course, but if those epic tunes were modernised with violins and guitars etc they would sound brilliant even today.

It's Noo Yoik and you have Coifee and baigles

Very true, no idea why my comment got deleted mind
Think the relative complexity of the controllers for the N64 compared to the NES and SNES might make a mini version of one a bit more expensive. Hope they do release one though.. these must have better Nintendo a few quid!
I spent some of this morning sorting Retroarch out properly on my Wii U, and discovering that James Pond and Zool have aged really badly. Saw the heat for this at £70 and still decided to cave in and get one of these from Very because they’d sent a 20 off a 50 spend voucher

Will be interesting to see if they do plough ahead with an N64 mini given the comparatively smaller library but would inevitably buy one.

As much as I love the 8bitdo controllers (I use mine all the time) they definitely have squishier feeling dpads than the official SNES pads.
Technology may have moved on, but at the end of the day 8bitdo is a much smaller company and so doesn't have the benefit of scale. So they have to make do by using cheaper manufacturing processes.

That's completely out of context.

Unlike those companies (for all their faults), scalpers deny you that service by deliberately getting in first and charging you for the privilege.
